Very fruity flavor, but like many fruit teas I feel its a little too tart and bitter. This might be a personal preference, but even adding sugar didn't help much. I may need to try it iced for trhe full effect.

★★★★★

I like this one after it cools down...I prefer it cold or room temperature and for a bit of something different, I add it to seltzer water to make a tea spritzer.

I was surprised, I quite liked the flavor. Light, springy, and well rounded. I have to say I have never liked tea before. I have always been a coffee drinker since I can no longer drink coffee I have been trying to find an alternative and Adiago has given me that alternative.

This one of my go-to afternoon teas- I brew it strong, add a ton of ice and cold water, and I drink it all day, after my morning caffeinated teas. I read the name, and I’m singing Elton John all day, which is always a plus!

I have reordered this in the larger size because it is so good. It really does have a bold wine-adjacent flavor and is great for an evening sweet treat that’s satisfying without all the sugar and calories. Big big fan

I liked the taste of this very much! It IS tart but I used to slice and eat lemons as a kid-- I can take it! LOL. It has a mouth-drying astringency too. And I love that it's all natural with no added flavoring necessary-- herbal elements alone. Maybe it will help with wellness, maybe not. I seem prone to colds and doubt a tea offers much protection against VIRUSES. I'm also not planning to drink it daily-- too many stellar teas to enjoy to camp on only one; I live for varieTEA! ;)

I've been drinking this non stop Ask summer. It's by far my favorite!

This herbal tea has a nice berry flavor, but I find it's not as strong as I would like it to be even when steeped for longer and when using more than a single teaspoon of tea for the brew. I ended up making the most of my sample by mixing it with other teas that complement its flavor profile, like samurai mate.

Elderberry Wine tea is my new favorite! I enjoy the savory sweet but tangy tart flavor of this tea.

Nice and refreshing, good for a nighttime tea after a hot day

I enjoyed this tea much better cold versus hot. It’s still nice hot but you mainly just taste hibiscus then. Once it goes cold then the other flavors come to the fore, though hibiscus is still a major player. All in all I enjoyed it and I would happily have this one again. 212* for 5 minutes

This tea just wasn't for me. I'm not sure how to describe the flavor, but the tart sharpness was more than I wanted. It's not a 'bad' flavor combination but just didn't work out.

I gotta say, this one was not for me! Dry, it had vaguely tomatoey notes...I expected it to smell, if not taste, more like a tart, Berry tea, but it smelled more savory, and the flavor, when brewed as recommended, was more savory as well! While it was tart, it didn't have as much of the Berry flavor that I expected. To be fair, I'm not super familiar with what elderberry truly taste like, so perhaps it was true to taste. My daughter said it smelled like 'italian' (so perhaps she was picking up on the tomato notes as well lol) At the end of the day it tasted like a tart, vaguely fruity something. I would be willing to try it again at different brewing Temps, to perhaps bring out the flavors, and maybe if made perfectly I could like it, but for right now, I'd not purchase this one!!

I've been sick these past few days, so I was appreciative this blend was included this early in the CT box. I've wanted to try it for a while now. It's perhaps one of the few wellness herbals I've yet to try. However, I will have to review this again in the future once I've regained my full sense of taste and smell. Based on the ingredients, all of which I like in general, and the alluring pink tone of the steep, I'm giving it 4 stars automatically. Saving half of the packet for another steep later on. I hope it works it's magic to help me get better soon.

This one is a little tart for me. However, it is very nice with a little honey! Lots of immune boosting ingredients would make this a good tea to have on hand throughout the cold season.

The package aroma reminds me of fruit leather from childhood days. I brewed my tea and forgot it for about 10 minutes, surprisingly it wasn't bitter at all. The color is a gorgeous wine red, the flavor smooth and similar to cranberry. I have not had elderberry before. What a lovely combination. I could easily get addicted to this tea

Ah elderberry wine! My number one top favorite official blended Adagio tea, and one I just can't let go of. I always have a backup pouch of this tea somewhere in my kitchen, and if another tea blend I have needs a bit more berry to the flavor then this one is right there waiting for me! I often brew this tea for holidays as well as just a nice warm beverage 'pick me up' on cold days. It's a super tart tea, but that's what I love about it. It's tart, sweet, and if you add a few spices it tastes like mulled wine.
Edit, October, 2024: I still love this tea, it is still by far my favorite official Adagio blend, and the only thing I have to add as far as updates go is that Elderberry Wine combined with the Spiced Blood Orange blend is amazing. So, if you have those two teas, they make an amazing Autumn/winter holiday brew!

I love regular elderberry tea so I thought I would like this, but I don't think it's for me. If I was more fond of hibiscus I would probably appreciate it more.

This tea was a nice herbal tea, I preferred this cold to hot. I will say while it was good the grape nor the elderberry fruit were prominent. It was different than my other herbal teas, but it didn't stand out and wasn't amazing. It was good, its worth a try, the value is there, just not as tasty as some of the others per say like Pina Colada or something at a similar price range. I usually get multiple steeps on my herbal teas, granted they are slightly weaker, but this tea doesn't get as much mileage, so that's the other down side. I did enjoy it though. Not sure if i will return or not for another bag. Def not a tea I need year round.

I bought this hoping for something similar to Tazo's Brambleberry Wine tea which was discontinued several years ago. Sadly it doesn't quite capture that flavor but is still a yummy, fruity tea in its own right.

I was rather curious what elderberry tastes like, so I figured this one would be a good way to try it out. It definitely has a fairly unique flavor, but I do like it. The tea overall is fruity and a little tart, and I prefer it cold to hot.

Though like some of Adagio's other berry teas, there seems to be a little bit of a musty flavor that I'm not sure whether it should be there?
