These tins are perfect for the larger bags of tea. They seal very securely. I also like the clear lid--and the fact that it's durable, because I've accidentally knocked these out of my cabinets on occasion and the lid has yet to crack.
What can I say? These tins are conveniently stackable, air tight, and the clear top allows you to view your loose leaf tea, whether plain or beautiful. Can't wait for my next set to arrive in the mail!
good quality, easy to use, good for tea storage.
I was hesitant to purchase these as I did feel it would be better to be offered the option to add a tin to each tea ordered for half the price. Give the choice of bags or tins. I understand costs are rising and I do prefer the tins, but it would be nice to pay a fair price for better packaging as opposed to paying 'retail' for separate packaging. It would save on the bags too!

These tins are absolutely amazing and luckily stackable! Now, I was not an adagio customer back when they used these tins as the usual packaging sadly. So I wasn't spoiled by these beautiful tins and then given the bags. However, I think they are worth the price, but maybe since they used to be free, adagio should offer them as alternative packaging for a small extra fee of like $2 or something? That would be helpful and beneficial I think.
I usually buy my teas in the larger bags and transfer what I need to the tins. By doing this, the bag isn't opened as often and keeps the tea fresher.
The tins are so cute and match the color of my kitchen decor. They are easy to wash and do what they are intended to do, perserve the freshness of the tea and block uv light.
I have purchased teas in tins for along time. I am sorry to hear that you used to sell your teas in tins, but now switched over to the baggies. Please reconsider having us pay for the tea tins
Though, like everyone else, I do miss when they used to be part of the teas ordered.

As a very long time customer (since 1999), I have just three things to say regarding the tins:
1. I get why you are not supplying tins. I wish, however, you would give us options. I'd like to be able to either buy the tea bulk bag, no tin, for $price1. Or, alternatively, buy the tea with a tin, for $price2. I would not mind paying an extra buck or two for the tin.
2. The tins your currently supply don't stack well at all. Hate that.
3. I would like to see the larger tins available for sale in addition to the small ones you currently have. This is my biggest peeve -- one size tin available.
I am a little disappointed because one the plastic lid of one of the tins there is a visible scratch, making a white mark, but otherwise they are great. They're big and easy to open and close. I'm using one for sugar.
I unlike most of the other reviewers are new to adagio. So I never got the tins with the tea before. The Tins are perfect size, I like the see through lid, and they do stack well if you do it right. A better label on the tea bag itself or better yet a lable sent with your tea that fits better on the tin would be better than what is provided. overall I am happy with the tins.

These tins are great and good looking as well for a cheap price tag.
I take the labels from my bags and attach them directly to the front of these tins. The tins seal tightly and the clear lids help identify the teas.
I wasn't around for the days when these came standard, but if I had been I'd be angry about it too, because they're lovely. My only regret is that they're a little too small to fit a full 3oz bag of the more voluminous blends (I had to make two cups of chai before the lid would close, not to mention any kind of tea with large leaves). My favorite thing about them is the clear lids.

These were a perfect size for the three ounce blends I bought. I love the see through lids and that they stack. At only $3 a piece, I may have to stock up.
These tins get the job done and I love the clear lids, but I am disappointed that they are not free but still only come in one generic pattern and are difficult to label. The 'tin contains' spot is right under the handle - if I'm not careful it smudges off when I open the tin.
These tins fit 3oz of tea perfectly and the fact that they stack is nice. The clasp seems less reliable than I'd hope for as far as lifetime of the product but definitely a good investment.
I wish these were free or cheaper anyway. You guys are killing it in teas, why not indulge loyal customers with free tins on their birthday ??
The locking mechanism feels a little less than sturdy, but they're definitely good seals. A lot more convenient than the bags the teas arrive in, while keeping the Adagio aesthetic. Great tins, will definitely order more. My only suggestion is to have larger ones! :)

They get the job done. The plastic on the top is fairly easy to scratch though.
Tins are okay, but for a similar price I can get borosilicate glass jars that block UV-light, look better on the counter, hold more (or less, for freshness) tea, and can be better re-purposed for other things.
Would be a nice bonus if tea shipped in these, but not really worth the purchase unless you really like the look, or really want metal.

I loved these tins when you could order the specific teas in them. While ordering them separately isn't too big a difference, I miss having the small stickers specifying the type of tea and steeping instructions. Of course, the space is still there for placing your own label.
Nice tins, but feel like they should be available as an 'add-on' to a product.
My 3oz. bag of Earl Grey Lavendar fit perfectly in this tin! I like that the top is clear so you can see what tea is inside (and it's just pretty). I now understand why people were upset when they stopped shipping the tea in these tins instead of the bags, but definitely understand that the bags are more economical for a growing company!

I tried them and ended up buying more after. I'm not saying they are the BEST out there but they are the best for the money. I bet that if they were 'stackable' they would be much better you can stack them but the wont stay in place. Recommend if you like tea at work (adagio make a bigger version for actual tea storage/not glass, looks nice but light damages tea)
Of course, I wish they were still free, but I can't blame Adagio for not giving them away. They also could stack a little better, but they serve their purpose well. A few years ago, I accidentally ordered too much chamomile and used these tins to keep the excess fresh and it tastes fresh as ever from these tins, so I was happy to pay a few bucks to get some more.
I love these tins! My cabinet is less cluttered using these vs. the bags. I would recommend these to anyone looking for airtight storage solutions for their tea!

These tins are awesome! I will warn you though that they barely fit the 3oz. Maybe Adagio is just to generous with their 3 oz bags? A great benefit they could make would be to have their packaged teas have removable labels so you could stick them on the tins.

These were exactly as expected. They are a good size and work very well.
I've gotten so excited since discovering Adagio that I've ordered enough tea to last for months! I think the tins are a good size and I love the little latches, but I do wish there was a place to insert a label or something. I ended up just cutting the name of tea from the bag and taping it on top - not exactly pretty...
They're perfect for 3 ounces of tea, and they seem like they have a good fit. Would be nice if they were a bit cheaper/came with the teas but they are well-made.
