The tins have thus far proved to be very lightweight, easy to clean and a pleasure to look at. I do have a few reservations however. The first is that I would like to see opaque plastic lids that you can purchase in order to make the containers light proof. I know that light is bad for tea in general, and while the top of the lid does ensure that only the first layer is affected, I would like a solution to the problem that is offered by the manufacturer (I will be applying a thin coating of water based pigment to the surface, or using pattererned duct tape and a box cutter instead). The second problem is that the daffodil color tin, which is the one I purchased, is not very well displayed in the picture. I wish a few additional pictures were added that would showcase the pattern and design of the tins that are somewhat obscured by the tins in the front. I am still very pleased with the color, but my friends have expressed hesitance at the notion of chancing the color if they couldn't see the product well. All in all, the tins seem to perform their function to my satisfaction, with only a few minor caveats that one can fix with ten minutes and a few craft supplies.

Just ordered a set of these, and while yes like many of the old reviews it would be nice to not have to pay for them, in retrospect it's the best deal you'll probably get. Other sites sell tea tins but they're either of poor quality or over priced (I've seen them run for 5 for one of the same sized tin at 'other' tea places) So all in all I'm okay with buying this and I do intend on buying more to store my growing tea collection in.

These tins are very nice for the price! Three for nine dollars is a great deal. I only buy my tea in three flavors at a time, so even the amount they give is perfect. I also like the colors. I got mine in green, but the red color looks pretty too. I hadn't ordered from Adagio when you're tea just came in these tins by default, so I can't comment on that, but they're worth the money to keep your tea fresh.

These were exactly what I needed to store all my tea. Perfect size for most teas and they look great sitting out in our kitchen!

These tins are affordable and designed well. Overall satisfied, although one tin seems to not be as airtight as the others and lost 2 ounces of silver needle.

These are nice tins! I got the green ones since they were out of blue. The green shades wrap all the way around the tins, which I liked, so no white area with the adagio name and logo like in the original tins. They are stackable, but still a bit wobbly. I like the UV blocking on the clear lid since I keep my tea stuff near a window.

Great quality tins, and a fantastic deal for the price. But I should have just sprung for the larger size if I wanted to store an entire packet of tea in one container. These, however, would be *perfect* to split up a blend if you wanted to share with a friend.

They're perfect for keeping my teas fresh and I can stack them up easily. I keep my favorite teas in the tins, just adding to them when they get low. It was definitely a good buy.

Handy for storing, as they fit the 3oz bags comfortably and with room to spare, the side is tall enough to transfer the label, and the tins are easily stackable

Love these! Great for storage and really keep the tea nice and fresh for longer. I got the green and it's a beautiful shade. I just wish that the labels from the bags would fit better.

These tins are great for storing tea in, they stack nice, and look good too. I like that I can see my tea through the lids, they are durable enough, and work really well

Seem a bit flimsy like they may break on me. For the price they were decent enough but I expect I'll be replacing them within the year.

Never knew these little guys used to come with the tea. I can understand why so many are upset about the fact that they no longer do...however, I also understand why they don't! :P Great little ways to store wonderful teas!

These are adorable, I only wish the good colors would be restocked.

These are a great size (just a bit larger than the pouch amounts), stack well, and the outside is high enough you can trim the label off the pouch and glue it to the tin.

These tins fit a regular size bag of tea perfectly.

I absolutely adore these little tins, I recently bought a set of these in yellow for my mother, filled with all kinds of delicious blends I made just for her, to match with her kitchen, and she loves them probably even more then I do! Not only are these wonderful for holding your loose teas in, I've also turned to using one for my sugar, keeps it fresh for so much longer!

The tins seem sturdy enough. And they are green. No problems so far.

The UV protected clear lid is great for a quick look at what the tin contains, but preserves the tea superbly. They're somewhat stackable, and attractive to house all of Adagio's teas. The large fandom blend bags easily fill up the tins.

Adorable little tins. I want like 45242 of them. They close up nice and tight, and they look nice on my desk, and generally I approve very much!

Great size for teas you love and want to keep on hand, but not ones that you drink every day. They stack, too, which is nice. They keep a great seal, and I like being able to see the tea through the clear lids because a lot of these teas even look pretty.

The tins are the best way I have found to keep tea fresh! Also, it is a great way to show off your teas to friends!

I didn't order tea from Adagio when they gave the tins with the orders, so I don't really have a reaction to the loss of them. However, I would have loved to have gotten them when they were given. I don't think we 'should' get them for free, as it was a bonus from the sellers to give them to us, not a requirement. The tea tins themselves though, are a good product, I wouldn't say great because I question how well they seal, and I am kind of disappointed that the tops are plastic and not glass.

These tins are the perfect size for scooping tea out of. I strongly disagree with those who say the tea should always be packaged in them though. From an environmental standpoint that would be wasteful and from an economic standpoint, I don't want to have to pay for the extra packaging when all I need is a refill. Compared to Teavana, both the tea and the containers are a far better value. I suspect that had Adagio continued shipping in the tins at the price they sell their tea they probably would no longer be in business and we would be stuck ordering from Teavana. My only wish is that Adagio would use removable lables on the bag to place on the tins.

I miss the old days when my tea came shipped in tins. These are nice, the colors are a pretty change, but they don't stack well.

Personally, I think these are kind of adorable. And sooo much better than the bags. I would also appreciate an 'in tin' option when ordering.

I received my order of a set of three of these in grasshopper last night. I can definitely see why people would like the tea to arrive in these tins instead of the zip bags. They were much larger than I expected, and I'm actually using one to store some whole bean coffee as well- they are very multi-functional.

Beautiful tins. Perfect size for the 3oz bags. Fits nicely in the cupboard.

These are very handy. I can see how they wouldn't fit 3 oz. of white tea very well. It would be so handy if the teas came in these. Would make pouring the tea into the tins not needed and less messy.

These tins are perfect for storing teas, and also make scooping out loose leaves much easier than the bags. I wish Adagio would switch back to these as a standard container!

These tins offer great storage for my slowly growing collection of tea. My only wish is that I should have gotten the blue ones but they were out of stock so I got original...

Fantastic tins. These little guys have an air-tight seal and a well made latch.

Even though I agree with others about the price of the tins vs. bags, whatever, I really like these. I recently bought the red ones and they are gorgeous, and it is really nice to see the tea inside.

I love these tins, they stack nicely and seal well. I need to order more! I plan to order a set of 3 every time I make a tea purchase. I think that'll do. (Price isn't bad and I've shopped around quite a bit. For a tin that seals this well and stacks this well, I couldn't find a better buy.)

Much better for storage than the plastic bags, reading some of the reviews made me wonder why there isn't an option to add a few dollars to your order to have the tea shipped in a tin instead of a bag? It seemed like a big waste of space (and cardboard) when I opened my package and realized that I was putting the tea that I had ordered into the tins (which were in there own box inside the bigger box). I personally don't mind the cost of the containers, I just think it would make a lot of sense if there were a 'in tin' option for extra cost.

Perfect for storing your tea or your sugar. Easy to wash and easy to refill.

Wonderful way to store tea. Keeps everything fresh, stacks well, looks adorable.

I was a little surprised to find that one order contained three tins. the plastic lid feels a little thin, but they are overall pretty sound. they made an excellent mothers day gift.

Nice, roomy tins. The UV-blocking lids are a great feature--it's nice to be able to look at the contents, without worrying about sunlight hurting the tea.

These seem to work well, haven't had any problems yet.

I know that a lot of people are upset that their teas no longer come in the tins...but I actually prefer that they don't. I bought the red tins and I'm just in love with them. They look wonder! I think they are nicer than the ones with the names of the tea on them and I like that they come in a set so I don't have to buy more to have a nice set. It also saves me from being over run with tins at the end of the day, as I only need to buy tea now.

I know that people are upset because they think that the tea should be cheaper now...I disagree here as well. Adagio is much cheaper then say Teavana, which also ships it's tea in bags and it's the same product, not to mention their tins are twice as much as well.

Exactly as I was expecting. The blue 4oz tins are beautiful. I have ordered red as well--can't wait for them to arrive.
