Cannot be beat, like a lot of folks I was introduced to this style infuser by Teavana. Well I really wish I was introduced by Adagio. This brewer is far superior, from the removable/replaceable filter, to the feel of the handle, to the price. I highly recommend, if you currently own the Teavana model make it your spare and buy this right away.
I love my ingenuiTEA and use it almost daily so it's great that it's easy and cheap to buy replacement infusers so I can continue using it while I clean the other one.
The replacement infuser is definately a more secure fit that the stock infuser. Let it soak in boiling water for 10 min or so and after some toying with it you should get it in. It is a very tight fit but make sure you dont break it during installation.
These filters work for quite a long time, and it is so great that they are also exteremly affordable to replace.
This works just like the original infuser. I only got it because it bothers me a bit how discolored the first one has become, but I don't know that the discoloration affects the taste or function at all.

As others have said, it's a bit snug to get the replacement infuser in, but if you let it sit in hot water for a few minutes it gets substantially easier. Now that it's in, it works great again!
I LOVE this teapot, it is so easy to use. No messy tea bags or filters that drip all over or get in the way of mixing in honey and milk.
Hard to install (as my husband had to take the original out as soon as it arrive to see how it worked and stuck his big ole thumb through it) Once you are able to line it up evenly it pops right in place - I used a small plastic cup upside down to slide it in because my hand was too big. I worked perfectly!

i love that there is a removable filter for my ingenuiTEA! yes, it was a bit of a pain to fit into the cup, but a tip: put some hot water into your pot and drop in the new filter. let it sit for maybe 10 minutes. the hot water should make the plastic on the new filter pliable enough to just pop it into place!
does not fit the brewer. I tried to install the new infused in my ingenuitea and i cannot get it in place.
It does what it's supposed to do, but I wasn't very happy with this teapot in general. The pot and the infuser stain easily and the plastic parts start to warp after a while and tea leaks everywhere. I stopped using it shortly after I got this infuser.
I had a Teavana teapot before but you can't replace the infuser, so they have to be thrown out once they get too stained whereas with the ingenuiTEA pot you can replace the infuser. It's like having a new pot. I will never go back to other teapots again!
This is a fantastic way to steep tea: it's so easy to just put the leaves in, let it steep, and drain away into the cup. I haven't figured out the perfect way to pour water in to make sure the filter stays in, though - it's a little loose.
It is what it says it is. I actually had a tough time getting this in to my ingenuiTEA at first, but after plenty of persistence...it's in and doing its job well.

This actually was really hard for me to fit in. It was so hard to pop in, that the infuser actually tore.
There's nothing terribly special about the replacement other than it works as well as the original.

Replacement infuser is almost impossible to insert into 16oz ingenuiTEA. Bought three to replace infusers in two ingenuiTEAs; destroyed one infuser trying to install it; got one installed after 40 minutes; gave up after multiple attempts and a couple of hours trying insert third. ingenuiTEA itself is good; replacement infuser is not.
The replacement infuser has a much tighter fit in the cup - definitely better than the original that came with it.

Nice and convenient teapot. I never had any of the problems others had. Be sure to pre heat it with boiling water before brewing as it's not insulated.
Love that they have a replacement infuser! It's less expensive than buying a whole new ingenuiTEA making it last longer.

I love the inguenuiTEA teapot and had one with a strainer that had become pretty well for lack of a better word NASTY looking. I have since taken the whole teapot apart and used chlorine bleach on it which did the job but it's nice to have the nice NEW extra one. These work GREAT and do what they're supposed to do, strain the tea in the ingenuiTEA teapot.
Disappointed that I needed to buy one so soon, because the original fell into the trash and got lost when i shook it out, but I won't make the same mistake again, and having the replaceable filter is better than not.

When I first saw this on Amazon, I thought, 'What a great idea!' This little teapot has made it easier for me to enjoy loose leaf teas again.
My original infuser had gotten stained and kept floating up from being too loose when pouring water on it after a while. I've been using this new one for a few months now, and it hasn't come loose yet. It was clearly a tighter fit, especially considering how hard it was to initially put in.
Works wonderfully, as expected. Definitely a great alternative to the various mesh baskets and other filters that I have. Another plus is you can judge the tea by color, since the container is transparent. The only downside is it's a bit annoying to have to clean, especially if you use smaller teas like a rooibos. It will release on any cup, not just the ones that match the width: for smaller ones, the mechanism stretches the entire length of the teapot, and for larger cups, you can just place the pot on an angle and use part of the lip to dispense the tea. Very cool and very useful.
Fantastic, a lot better than the one originally shipped with the Ingenuitea. Fits perfectly, and seems to stay a lot cleaner.

Didn't want to fit at first - really had to struggle to get it to stay in but now it works well.
A neat idea and a wonderful product when it works. The infuser tends to want to float up when you add water. I've found that if i pour a little water in, I can push it back down with my finger before filling it all the way, the weight of the water will it at the bottom. If tea gets below the infuser, it's best just to steep the tea and strain it through another infuser or strainer, or you'll end up with tea getting stuck in the valve which is hard to clear.
I've also had the valve fail on me. More than once, I've come to get my tea to find that it's all spilled out on the counter. Most likely, this is a result of a tiny bit of leaf stuck in the valve, probably as a result of the infuser floating up.
I have used this tea for loose leaf at work. It is the ideal size for a tall cup of your favorite tea. Although it looks fancy for a tea-defuser, the design is simple and easy to clean. It is a joy to watch the brew in the pot. Some teas are so beautiful and I find watching the leaves rehydrate is almost like watching a snow globe.
This is my second ingenuiTEA teapot (bought 1st through Amazon). I love this little gadget!
