I use this tea pot at work where I don't have a dishwasher or a disposal so the earlier comments about the ease of cleaning is completely wasted on me. The device works well although it is very easy to accidentally start it leaking while walking back from the communal kitchen. It also does not keep the tea very warm so you have to make sure to transfer the tea as soon as possible.
It is easy to use, easy to clean, and just plain fun! I'm a minimalist and always thought, 'my good old steepers are fine enough, thank you very much.' However, this teapot really is fun to use.

Okay, so, I blend a lot of tea. I drink, oh, gallons of the stuff in a week (week, yes, that sounds less fanatic than 'day', right?) and I use the bejeebers out of the awesome little paper filters Adagio has, and saw no need for this odd little contraption, even though Adagio has my FABULOUS Zombie Romance blend recommended on the Ingenuitea page (Woohoo! Yes! You DO want it to be part of your Zombie Survival Kit! Get 10 or so bags, you never know how long the post will be disrupted.)
Anyhoo, so I wan't wooed, despite my faith in Adagio contraptions in general... UNTIL... a friend of mine whom I'd gotten hooked, er, *introduced* to Adagio teas got one and I used it while visiting her house. Dude! It's awesome!
What I especially love about it: you can do a quick splurt to see if your blend is steeped the way you want it (I have a lot I like in different intensities, so this is fabulous)
What I'm not so stoked about: it's like, regular mug sized. Regular mugs? Who the hell drinks tea from regular mugs? Doesn't everyone have ginormous novelty mugs from which they inhale gallons of tea every da.. week?
It's large enough for two dainty teacups (okay, that's fun) or one normal-sized mug.
It makes tea easier to make, if you're not into the whole calming ritual of the process, which is why I got this as a christmas gift (for my *mom*, so you know it's good.)
Anyhoo -- is it worth the price? Well, yeah, actually. It seems especially suited to an office environment, and it's kind of fun to use. So check it out, and *definitely* stock up on the Zombie Romance blend to go with it. Just in case.

I love this! When I first got it, I was worry about how easy it was going to be to clean. It cleans super easily! Just dump out the leaves and rinse it out and it's dishwasher safe! The only thing is it is hard is for me and my mom to have a cup of tea together (because our mugs are pretty big and I have to brew tea twice) but I HIGHLY recommend this!

I absolutely adore my glass tea pot, but sometimes it's a bit too much when I'm on my own and tired. I find the ingenuiTEA to be glorious for tea for one. There is a reason this little thing survived the zombie apocalypse. Because it is the greatest tea maker. Ever. I'm not kidding. Definitely easy to travel with and works perfectly every single time. Don't know how well it'd qualify as a weapon against the zombies though.

I just brought the ingenuitea replacement filter. It came without any information on how
replacement it. The bag it came in was not sealed. The filter felled out of the bag.
Love this. It makes great tea, and seems to do really well for everything. I've only just got it and used it a couple of times, but everything tastes delicious so far.
THIS MACHINE IS SO COOL! I have multiple spoon and ball infusers, and this works much better. It is very easy to use, gives the tea plenty of room to unfurl, and is fun to watch!
I am very happy with the ingenuitea so far. Having tried tea balls, infuser cups, and just a plain old teapot this is my hands down favorite way to make tea. It feels well constructed, it's easy to use, and quite thankfully easy to clean. I'd buy it again if I had to.
I just received my new teapot. I was so excited to try it that I forgot to rinse it first(: Oh well, I have tried many different tea strainers and this works so good, better that any I have tried. I have been using the Ingenuitea for a few months now and I love it. So easy to use and simple to clean, I have had no problems with it. Perfect for the avid tea drinker. The only thing is that I would like to buy a new filter for it but I can't seem to find the one offered for the new model. :( Otherwise great product and worth every bit.
This is pretty much my favorite thing ever. It lets the tea expand, sink, and rise the way it should for the best cup of tea. When it's done, it magically pours straight into your mug, completely free of tealeaf bits. And then the entire thing breaks down and goes in the dishwasher!
I knew from the reviews that this teapot would be interesting and amazing, however it was even better than I expected. It honestly did let the leaves expand fully so they could release their flavors far more efficiently than in a tea ball or infuser. It is also a breeze to clean out. I love this teapot and it makes making tea easier than it ever has been and makes a great smooth cup of tea.

This is a must for any daily tea drinker. Easy to clean, easy to use, I have one in each size and they get much much more use than my expensive tea maker. Plus, they are neato. I have been using them several times a day for the better part if a year and the only complaint is the staining that happens on the plastic. What you can do is have one for dark and chai tea and one for non staining tea. Enjoy!

I love my ingenuiTEA! Making loose leaf tea is so much easier with this compared to a tea ball. It's easier to get the leaves in and out of than the tea ball. I also use mine to brew and occasional cup of coffee. I have had mine over a year and it still works great!

If there is a better way to brew tea, then I would like to see it. Free-floating leaves guarantee that every single leaf is properly steeped, and the filter makes draining and cleanup a breeze. It also disassembles into five parts, making a thorough cleaning fairly simple. Though personally, I would recommend a thorough cleaning after every use. I've had one for 8 months and the plastic has started to stain.

I love this so, so much! I've only recently found my ball mesh filter, but I upgraded to this... it not only filters stuff so not even mate gets through, but I love that I don't have to worry about pouring it all over my table or my hand. I think the only problem I have is that it doesn't actually really make two cups, and it's hard to throw out the used tea. Also, there was that one time I accidentally touched the bottom of the cup and it scalded my hand... ouch.
A really easy way to brew tea if you're new to loose leaf like I am. I was a little worried it would be to large since I'm only brewing tea for myself, but it's just about the perfect size!
