I used to have a product like this but stopped using it because it became less effective very quickly. So far I love this tea maker and don t see the same issue with it! It makes the best tea I ve ever had and is easy to use, guests are always impressed by it, too.

I can't even begin to explain how awesome this thing is! If you like tea buy one. If you know someone who likes tea, get them one. It's amazing and I own 2 -- one for home and one for the office!!

I love this little Tea maker ...I have one at home and one at my desk in my office
Just a little piece of heaven at work
★★★☆☆
Lightweight and got it for travel when all you have is a hotel microwave. Works well enough for that although wish it had an integrated timer. For home use it still leaves me wishing it were easier to clean, came with a way to easily preserve the tea leaves for a second brewing.

I bought this to replace a first-generation IngenuiTEA that developed a leak after many years of regular use, and I'm very happy. If you're trying to decide between the two models, I haven't noticed any difference in actual performance. This one is BPA-free and a little more stylish, so it has my vote, but both make equally great tea.

Love this thing. No regrets. Great for personal use or as a gift!

I've had this thing for so long that I've had to buy new filters (my own doing, not because they failed). The filters work great and leave minimal dust in the cup, and cleaning is super easy.

**UPDATE AT BOTTOM**
I love the original InginuiTEA, so this updated version would have to be something really special to impress me. While it doesn’t disappoint, it’s not the game changer the original was for me. The removable filter makes cleaning easier, but the spices in my masala chai get stuck in the sharp corner of it. The ovoid shape gives good presentation value, but it’s slightly more annoying to stir. I have no need to put it in the microwave, so that perk is lost on me. The only true improvement is the inclusion of the drip tray, which would be better if it was a hair bigger. Overall, it seems like a lateral shift from the original design.
**UPDATE** There’s one significant weakness in the IngenuiTEA line’s design. The hinge where the lid attaches is a bit flimsy. Both my original IngenuiTEA and my IngenuiTEA 2 have broken hinges. If any part of this tea maker needs a redesign, it’s the hinge/lid attachment.

This is the second one of these I’ve had the first leaked a little at the bottom after about 6 years. I use it every day even take it when I travel

My third in in many years, they work for a long time. This one is improved since 15 yrs ago screen on bottom is easier to clean. Convenient and easy to use. I ve given as gifts also.
★★★★★
Better then the original and I like the drip pan.

I originally purchased the IngenuiTEA original several years ago in undergraduate school. It served me well, but I lost it on one of my moves; so I decided to try the IngenuiTEA 2. The oval shape of the brewer surprised me and I was uncertain how I would feel about it. However, I was sold after my first brew. Unlike my old IngenuiTEA, which would always hold excess water in the bottom sometimes coming out onto the drip tray, the IngenuiTEA 2 lets all the water out! It is very well made and I am excited to keep using it!

Great product, use mine everyday. Easy to clean. Great addition to my kitchen
★★★★★
i love this thing. Its quick, easy and fun. I like the new version than the old due to the old one started dripping. This one has a coaster with it.

This is the best tool to infuse loose teas. I've been using mine for going on ten years, and it's become a go-to gift for fellow tea lovers.
★★★★☆
This is a nice tea infuser, doesn't leak like the one I got on Amazon did. The only thing I don't like about it is that occasionally the filter is too easy to remove. As long as I'm careful though it won't go flying when I dump the used leaves! Easy to clean, doesn't leak thank goodness
★★★★★
Use this daily now at work to steep my ice tea (still a coffee in the am drinker). Has significantly reduced my soda's and increased my water intake!
★★★★★
The IngenuiTEA 2 is a lifesaver. Easy to use and clean, and we love that the updated version is microwaveable.
★★★★★
Works well with the one I got from Teavana years ago.
★★★★★
Love it, love it, love it!!! I take it with me on my vacations as well.

I have a few on the IngenuiTEA original models, and bought the 2 model to see the differences. This is the superb tea making vessel, and I will be ordering more. So easy to use, sharp looking, and a sleek and easy design.
★★★★★
Great for making loose tea. Not complicated. It makes a great cup of tea.
★★★★★
Absolutely amazing. Great, simple way to make 2 regular sized teas or a large single tea. Will reorder.

This thing is great. I have a teapot to use when guests come over (which is rare, because I live in the 21st century where people rarely share physical spaces), and I used to have a tea maker like this one (it was made in China). My tea maker broke, so I bought this one. Man, what a great purchase. This thing makes brewing tea super easy. My main concern was durability, but I've had this for several months now, and it's still holding up just fine. It's easy to clean, since it can be easily disassembled. There are only a couple things to keep in mind:
1. There are no measurement marks on the housing, so if you want to dispense two cups of tea, you'll either have to eyeball it, or else make your own markings on the housing (I used a Sharpie pen to make 8oz marks).
2. If you decide to put marks on the housing, you'll need to keep in mind that the bottom half of the container will have a lower liquid volume than the upper half, because the leaves will settle on the bottom and displace the water. This is not a huge deal, and certainly not something that Adagio could anticipate in the design of the tea maker.
3. Although it's easy to clean this thing, I find that the plastic scratches easily, even with a softer scrub pad. Tea will stain the inside to such a degree that a soft sponge will not take it off, so a scrubber will be necessary, but then you're going to put some tiny scratches in the plastic. This hasn't been a big deal for me yet, but I could imagine that after a while the plastic will get cloudy and dingy. Of course, by that time, it might be time to replace my tea maker anyway (because I live in the 21st century where everything is meant to be disposable).
4. I'm not sure if anyone else has better strategies for disposing of used tea leaves, but I'll share my method. I cover the mouth of the tea maker with a paper towel and give everything a single, hard shake. That plops most of the leaves onto the paper towel. Then I run a small amount of water into the tea maker and swirl it around, then dump the water into the paper towel as well. I toss the paper towel full of old leaves. At this point there will only be a few leaves in the tea maker, and I just rinse them down the drain.
The bottom line is that if you want to drink tea on a daily basis, you should definitely buy this thing. It's very convenient.

After years of use, it was time to replace my IngenuiTEA brewer. I had the original style, so I wasn't sure what to expect from this new version. Now that I've tried it and brewed multiple cups of tea in it, I'm impressed! I like the new shape. The new drip tray works well. The hinge on the lid seems better on this new version -- my old brewer had a broken lid because one side of the post broke off. The filter is plastic in this version...I'm ok with that. There are no leaks and the new brewer releases all the tea quickly and perfectly. Full stars from me! Love it!

I purchased 2 of these, one for myself and one for my son-in-law. For myself, I was replacing one of the old style IngenuiTea brewers that had broken after several years. This one seems to be better made. The actual strainer fits much more securely. I would recommend this to anyone who likes clear tea.
★★★★★
Though this was advertised as the largest one it is the same size as the previous version just oval in shape. Still love it now I have one in our RV and this one at home! Makes perfect large mugs of tea
★★★★☆
I used to have one of the original IngenuiTEAs, but somewhere between moves it was lost. This model is great too, but I did find the filter difficult to remove and place back in correctly. Mine always wants to go in tilted.
★★☆☆☆
I initially liked this version of the IngenuiTEA, but I now find it rather frustrating. The plastic mesh strainer at the bottom does not stay put so unless I hold it down with a spoon, when I pour water in to the brewer, the strainer comes out of its spot and floats up to the top. I'm disappointing with the new version vs. the old one.
★★★★★
So, I had an old IngenuiTEA, and an even older version from before when it had that name. This one is great. The type of plastic that is used stains less easily when compared to the earlier one. Similarly, it is easier to clean - the filter on the bottom comes out more easily and is easier to grip. Honestly, the best part is that they brought back the drip tray for it to sit on. Despite what the guy in the store told me, the old one was ALSO dishwasher and microwave safe. I rarely use either for mine, but I thought that was worth sharing.
★★★★★
This was a replacement for an old worn out exact same model.
★★★★☆
I do like this new design mostly for the sleek look and the drip tray which the old IngenuiTEA does not have. However I have noticed that the plastic filter releases tea at a much slower rate into my cup. I basically have to set it on the cup, walk away and come back for it to drain. That part is frustrating a little bit, but all in all its still a good tea maker. UPDATE: I was concerned because of how tea can discolor plastic, but months and months later, my ingenuiTEA 2 still looks brand new!

I love that this version comes with the tray to catch drips
★★★★★
I love this! It makes making my tea so easy and no leaves. Great product.
★★★☆☆
This IngnuiTEA version has plastic filter. I missed that in the description. The screen does not feel like durable. My fear is that over time the plastic will become brittle and the screen will crack. Time will tell, but the Original IngnuiTEA with stainless steel has lasted for years. The two positive things are the oval shape for cleaning and the drip coaster, which the Original IngnuiTEA does not have. Without long term testing, I would recommend the Original IngnuiTEA and to find a drip coaster. I wish Adagio would update this version to have a stainless filter, if so I would give 5 stars.
★☆☆☆☆
We have bought three of the IngenuiTEA steepers. This version 2 has held up the best so far, despite always needing something below to catch drips. We also bought a couple of the original 28oz version. Terrible! Expensive steeper for something that barely lasts a few weeks, conveniently outside the time you can request a return. Unfortunately, this experience will likely be our last with Adagio.

Easy way to make tea. I like the fact it holds 12 oz of water.
★★★★★
Works as well as the first IngenuiTEA version, and this one comes with a little tea catcher plate thing. So that's neat.
★★★★★
Plan on sending one to collage with both kids and I will be ordering another soon. I have them everywhere.
★★★★★
This a very portable tea brewer, and I take it with me every day to work. I also love that you can pull out the filter and wash it separately. It makes removing the super fine dregs that stick around easy to clean. I've dropped it a few times already and seems to be pretty durable, too. Only minor con is that some finer consistency tea leave tend to slip past the filter. Good for the price overall, and if it didn't have the removable filter I would have said 4/5 stars but giving it 5/5 because I love how quick I can clean it.
★★★★★
My favorite way to make tea in the morning. It's easy to clean as well as makes a mean cuppa tea
★★★★★
Different design than the original teapot. Makes it a bit more difficult to remove the filter if you have larger hands. Love the little coaster that came with the pot, nice touch.
★★★★☆
Ordered 2 and Received my Ingenui Tea2 in a timely manner. It did not come with any instructions on how to use and clean. Had to take off web site. Would be nice to have some information on teas that can be used in it and how to clean with removable screen for customers who have never used one.
★★★★★
I had the old one, but this new one does work a lot better and it is MICROWAVABLE!
★★★★☆
Great to use for loose tea. I use mine every morning.
★★★★★
I'm pretty new to making loose-leaf tea, but this product made it so easy! After only one use I'm already hooked!
★★★★★
Microwave safe?! Amazing! It s the perfect tea to make tea at the office.
★★★★★
I use this when I'm traveling on the road. It's nice because the screen comes out to wash.
★★★★★
We replaced our well worn IngenuiTea with this recently and are so happy we did! As always - a great quality Adagio product - well made and this version is super easy to clean!
★★★★★
I had the original version of this steeper as well as similar steepers from several other tea companies. I love this new version. It is such a great upgrade on an already fabulous product. I highly recommend!
