It works well but it’s cheap. It can break easily and they won’t replace it after your short warranty. You would think after being a loyal customer who spends so much with this company they would’ve sent a new one when the unit cost has to be so low, but they completely brushed me off. Terrible customer service.
Like the original IngenuiTEA, it keeps the little bits out of the tea very well. It's visually appealing and I actually really appreciated the inclusion of the drip tray to rest it on between uses. It works flawlessly at letting leaves expand and infuse.
The only cons I have are minor. The shape makes it fairly difficult to clean (unless you have some kind of fancy cleaning tool, I guess, but I only have my hands). It's hard to turn your hand around to scrub inside. I also don't love that the filter is now plastic instead of metal, which will eventually require replacement (I assume, since they sell replacements...). For now, though, the filter is going strong and I haven't had any problems with it.
Works perfectly, though I wish they made one that held more and had a removable filter.
This thing has made my life so much easier. No more fussing with small tea balls that never seem to be big enough for more than an 8oz measurement of tea. It's pretty easy to clean as well! I'll never be able to use anything else to make my tea ever again

When I purchased this version it was because the original IngenuiTEA was sold out. I was doubtful about the oval shape, the lack of volume markings, and the plastic filter that could pop out if needed (sounded flimsy), but I did like that it came with a drip tray and it was available so it became mine… and I don’t regret this decision at all. It’s wonderful! Actually I prefer it over the original now! Somehow the oval shape is easier to clean. It took a while but once the plastic filter with its very fine mesh (maybe an improvement over the metal as well) was removed once I’ve figured out how to do so consistently for cleaning. For volume, I used measuring cups with a kitchen scale and applied my own markings in Sharpie to the outside of the infuser. It sits on the drip tray next to the kettle on my counter, ready to go at all times. Highly recommend!
Same size and limited benefit over the first version (comes with a coaster and the inner filter can be removed) but the first version comes with graduated measuring markers, which are very useful. Not sure why it was removed from this version, but the absence of those markers makes this a worse buy in my opinion.
I bought myself one. I do like the drip tray, but find I do not love it. I prefer the original ingenuitea better.

I got this so I didn t have to buy paper tea filters. Just looking at it, I wasn t sure how well it would actually work. Let me tell you, I am a convert. This works so much better than I anticipated. It definitely brews a great cup of tea.

this is a replacement for my previous model. I always have adagio tea in the fridge but this is very handy for a smaller quantity of tea.

I used this just about everyday since I bought it, sometimes twice a day, and I can honestly say this is by far my favorite thing I've bought from Adagio. I've bragged about this to so many of my friends. Its easy to use and easy to clean, too. The fact that its both microwave and dishwasher safe absolutely sold me on it. I love this! It s the perfect size and easy to wash out. Our mugs are a variety of sizes so this is perfect. I like that this gives the tea more room to expand compared to a tea ball or other infuser. Very happy with my purchase!

I love the original IngenuiTEA, but I think I might actually like this version better. The oval shape with circular bottom is a little weird, as far as design choices, but as far as usability, it's great, and I particularly love that I can actually take out the filter and rinse it off all the way/wash it thoroughly, so it doesn't get all the build-up in it that the regular IngenuiTEA does, and is overall easier to clean. Would recommend.
I love this and use it all of the time. It is the easiest way to brew loose tea that I have ever tried (and I have multiple options!). The only problem is that it is impossible to get completely clean. The part above the pressure plate is not reachable with any cleaning device.
I like it and use it interchangeably between my other ingenuitea brewers!

I've been using my IngenuiTEA2 for about a month now and its absolutely the best. No problems at all with the straining mechanism and it catches all but the smallest dust particles. Cleaning is a breeze too, once you take it apart for the first time its easy to figure out! Props to Adagio for getting this perfect!

This is my first experience with this type of teapot. I have been using a metal strainer basket in my mugs for years which worked, but did not filter out the smallest particles. Talk about an upgrade! The ingenuiTEA 2 is a great product! It’s the perfect size for one person and the filter is a very fine mesh. I was worried about cleaning, but it’s actually quite easy. I scoop out the used tea with my hand and rinse the pot with water. I then pop out the filter and give everything a good rinse. I’m glad the filter is replaceable, but with proper care and cleaning it should last a long time. Thanks to Adagio for an excellent product!
I've been primarily using KATI cups for brewing tea, because I love the steeping basket. Baskets are so much better than clumping the tea together in a ball. But I was finding myself repeatedly looking for new cup designs. Then I stumbled across this and realized this would allow me to enjoy ALL my cups again, without worrying about the steeping basket falling in. And oh my gosh, it is the best steeping thingymabob yet. My first brew was with a Rooibos tea, notorious for detritus escaping filters. But this cup was perfectly clear and perfect. I am 1000% a fan.
The IngenuiTEA 2 has been an amazing investment. I have never had a conventional tea pot. This was really intuitive to use, and I love how easy it is to wash and reuse!

Great product for brewing individual cups of tea at home or at the office. Very easy to use and clean. Don't leave dark or heavy red-colored fruit teas in there...it will stain the strainer.
Almost identical to the Teavanna version, but this one feels more solid and well-built.
My original IngenuiTEA was finally at the end of its lifespan, so I opted to replace it with the second model, and I m glad I did! It s a lot easier to clean than the original version.

I am beyond grateful for this little device. My tea brewing years number many and ive tried every method thought up to brew tea. Most of them arent convenient or leave you with sub-par tea. But not this baby! It brews a perfect, delicious cup of tea everytime without leaving a bunch of leaves in the bottom of the cup. Another awesome thing about it is that it has plenty of room for the chunkier teas and tissanes that I love. Thank you, Adagio.
After 1 year or so the inside filter part keeps coming loose, allowing tea under it and resulting in leaks. The previous version which is a year older has never had this problem.
I love the updated IngenuiTEA2! This one seems to get all of the tea out of the bottom much better than the original. Of course, this design was used by other tea companies, but that doesn't really matter since it works. One thing missing is the measurements on the side, but that's minor.

I love this thing. It's Awesome for making tea for just one person. Simple to use and to clean and there's no mess. I didn't realize it comes with a little tray, so it won't drip on anything when you set it down!
