There is so much to love with this device! I love that I don't have to keep paper filters since it keeps out the tiniest of rooibos. I love that it fits *almost* any mug/ cup. (It is too small for the glass mug sold here on Adagio's website.) I love that when the tea is ready it can go directly over ice rather than having to pour hot tea in a mug into my pitcher and spill all over the counter. I love that the filter is removable to clean. I love the drip tray -even though it rarely does drip anything. The only thing I don't love is that is does not have markings on the side to indicate 8, 10, 12 and 16 oz of water.
Handy way to brew tea, with the larger bottom making it usable on larger mugs. However, the description said the filter is plastic and dishwasher safe - mine rusted in the dishwasher. How does plastic rust? The rust got into the main unit so I had to throw the whole thing away.
I bought this ingenuities 2 for my son because I really like the 2 that I have. I use these all the time when I make tea.

I purchased this for my mother who doesn't have room for the VelociTEA. This little device is pretty darn convenient, and easy to rinse out.
As someone who has watched a lot of cafe videos, I've often seen something like the IngenuiTEA used commonly in videos. I've since been very interested in getting my own, and decided to get one just before the new year hit.
So far, I love this thing. It's very convenient, and makes brewing tea quick work. It's also very satisfying to use. The hinge on mine has been nice and tight so far, and the draining is quick and simple. It has been easy to clean, though I've taken to washing out the tea leaves into a separate strainer to clean it - I'm afraid to take anything apart in case I ruin it. Personally, I like the oval shape to it, but that's just me. It fits more nicely on my countertop, and I very much appreciate the inclusion of a drip tray.
Volume markings would be convenient, but I've just been filling up my preferred cup and dumping that water into my kettle and converting the necessary leaves manually. A bit more work, but none of my cups are really a convenient, standard size anyways. Overall, I love this thing.
Most amazing thing for making tea. convenient and very easy to clean. I've had three different ones from teavanna to adagio and they're just perfect.
Can’t live without my IngenuiTEA! I do wish the lid was designed to more easily come off and back on for easier putting in the dishwasher and such.
Buy this tea maker. I am always skeptical, however, IngenuiTEA2 is amazing. It brews a great cup of tea. The leaves stay in the brewer. It is easy to clean. I can see why it has a following. Even though it has an oval shape, the bottom is round so it easily fits over your round cup. I am so happy with my purchase I bought an additional two as gifts.
I am really impressed with this so far! The lid is really sturdy and doesn't flop around, which means I can pour water in without having to hold it open. The filter on the bottom is really secure (almost a little too secure) but I am very glad I bought this. It's my preferred way to brew tea. So easy!
My first reaction when I saw this was 'oh, that's probably a gimmick'. But I was fascinated because the description mentioned a Mars rover, and also people claimed it successfully filtered out rooibos bits. Friends, it does filter out rooibos bits, and it is very fun! Makes about 2 cups of tea. Agree that the lid might be a bit flimsy, though. I'm being really careful with it.
easy to clean. I like that the lid stays 'up' when you put it up (ie has some friction).
I do wish the lid detached but it doesn't seem to.
We use the Ingenuitea and Ingenuitea 2 multiple times per day. Both products are the easiest way to brew loose leaf tea. The Ingenuitea has the advantage of a slightly larger diameter bottom that is compatible with our favorite mug where the original Ingenuitea is not.

I love the ingenuitea 2. I have the first version but decided to keep it at my office & I missed having one at home. The new design isn’t any improvement over the original, but it easier to keep clean. Great product overall.
This is a fantastic tea maker. I use it many times a day and never have had it leak. The design fits perfectly over every cup or mug that I use.
Love this teapot. Cleanup is easy. Remove tea grounds after use and rinse with hot water.

A great teapot to brew all sorts of tea! The oval shape is sleek and practical giving plenty of room for tea leaves to bloom and infuse. It's clear, so you can watch them unfurl, which I enjoy. The base keeps the few drips from getting on your counter or wherever you set it. Easy to use, nice size, great filter for particulates.
Essential kitchenware in my opinion. The easiest and most satisfying way to make tea. I think what’s underrated is how ‘pleasant’ it makes everything. I know that sounds kind of weird, but you know when you go to resteep tea and you just have cold leaves sitting in a little bag or tea steeper and they just don’t seem appetizing? Somehow this gets around that. Maybe it’s the lid. Maybe it’s just me being weird. At any rate, I enjoy it.
I do wish that it was easier to empty this model, since you cannot easily remove the lid and set it upside down. Aside from a slightly tedious cleanup, it filters clean and does its job fantastically well.
Absolutely love this for my loose tea. And works with most cups. You can make it work for wider rimmed cups, but you may have to hold it while it strains. But 10/10 would recommend

I have been using this almost daily. It allows brewing a 12 oz cup of fresh tea as desired.
This tool is AMAZING. I use this at work, where I don't have easy access to a sink, but it is still super easy to clean with just a wipe down. While it comes with a drip tray, I have never once needed it with this model. When my mom declared an interest in getting into loose leaf tea, this immediately went into my cart as her christmas present. I do also have the original ingenuiTEA model, and can say this one is worth the extra cost. The first model does what it's supposed to do and I use it every night, but it lives in a bowl because it leaks. Likewise, even though I use a sink to clean that one, it stains pretty significantly and I regularly break it down to soak and remove the tanins. If you're trying to decide between the two, go for the 2!
Not sure what the difference between the old design and this one is. It works well and does what I need it to do.
I got this to replace my original IngenuiTea version 1 which I have used for over a decade. I really like that the version 2 has a replaceable screen and is a bit easier to clean. The IngenuiTea is a tea lovers miracle invention. Easy to brew in, pretty to look at, great design and fun to use!
This is my first 'fancy' steeping device and I absolutely love it. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and it looks sleek on the counter. My one complaint is the same as the average user and that is that it is not marked for 8oz. It was easy enough to mark it but honestly I shouldn't have had to.
I have the first gen and this is a bit nicer as the strainer is removable and so can be soaked in vinegar to clean it up Nice to have a saucer under it to catch errant drips as well .

I could write full essays on my love for this item. But I shall summarize for you. This is the perfect small teapot at two cups. It s enough to share, I suppose, but it s also perfect for filling that oversized mug we all love. I ve yet to find little grainy bits in my tea with this, so really it s perfect. I will say I marked cup and half cup points on the side of mine, so I do wish it came with those. But passed that I have no complaints. I suppose I wish it was easier to switch between teas. I often drink a pu-erh in mine which I steep multiple times before I toss the leaves. But then I ll want something different between cups and I m forced to use another infuser that works less well. I suppose the answer is that I need to buy another one of these...oh the horror. @adagioteas
This tea steeper is easy to use and clean. I love that after the tea steeps, it s easy to transfer the tea to the cup of your choice. It does an excellent job of separating the tea debris from the actual tea. @adagioteas @adagioteas

I like this a lot, but I really miss the ounce markings that are on the original IngenuiTEA, and I always reach for the original first, for that reason, and only use this one when the original is unavailable. It’s still a very clever device, and I prefer it to any other way of brewing loose tea, so I highly recommend it, but it would be so much more useful with the ounce markings, so I don’t always have to guess how much water to put in, trying to judge by how close to the writing I am, or putting tape or sharpie on the outside. Maybe version 3 will make that change and have the best features of both.
This is the second 1 of these we have had. Found the first one at a garage sale and it has served us well, until I dropped it and broke it. We have the same style of brewer from other companies but the IngenuiTEA 2 is my favorite!
I love this tea strainer/steeper. Ingenious! My son turned me on to this. I accidentally dropped my original IngenuiTea2 (steeper/strainer) I accidentally broke off lid. I purchased a new one but I gave it away as a birthday gift!
