This is a very elegant looking teapot. You can watch your teas unfurl and show their amazing colors.
The beautiful teapot looks so classy and 'expensive'. I absolutely love it and would recommend it. The best part is that it is dishwasher safe!
It was great while it lasted...had it for about 4 and 1/2 months before the thin glass bumped up against a mug and the whole teapot shattered...it's just not going to last unless you're super careful with it.
This teapot is very light but don't let tht fool you it is not delicate. It is safe to put in the dishwasher. I like the glass because you can see the tea brewing in the teapot. This teapot makes tea just as good as the tearooms do. I give the teapot a rating of 95.
First one came cracked but the second replacement which they sent free is great!
This was the replacement teapot for the cracked one I recieved with the gift pack. I gave a more in-depth response on the gift-set, so I'll summarize here. Great starter teapot, extremely thin glass that gets EXTREMELY HOT and feels very fragile, but great price! I hand wash this only.
So happy that Adagio carries replacement lids! I've had my pot for several years, but I manage to break the lid every year 8-)

THIS THING BROKE AND SPILLED HOT TEA ALL OVER ME. I had burns ALL over my leg! NOT recommended!
I had a hard time getting my teapot, the first came cracked. However customer service rushed out another and it has been in perfect condition ever since. While I was a bit worried about the thin glass it has survived two cats and several clumsy moments.
I'm a little worried about how lightweight it feels, and I hope it doesn't break if (when) I'm clumsy with it. But it's pretty, I like how deep the infuser is, and the spout makes it easy to pour without dripping.
I received my glass teapot for Christmas 2008, I liked it, but felt it was very fragigle. The light weight glass was disappointing. Anyway the lid got broken in a few months and I needed to order a replacement...I only used this for a few more months when my teapot then was broken. This was really disappointing to have a present be broken within 5 months of receiving it.
My original lid was broken just by the teapot being slightly jarred when a potholder was slid into it. Then one day I was reaching to get a spatula and it dropped and I did not even know until later that it had hit the handle of the glass teapot and broke it off!!! Thus ending with a useless item. I would not advise anyone to purchase the glass teapot or replacement parts. Very, very disappointed about this item. Darlene, Pittsburgh please consider this for order # 487434
I broke the lid to my teapot that I got for a gift. My new lid came fast and in perfect condition. For my gift I also received a couple of the tea blooms that I also love. Great customer service.
Although nice to look at, cleaning can be difficult, some teas will seep right through the mesh(roobios), and is very fragile(thin glass - only lasted a couple months before breaking). Avoid, not really worth it.
I love this teapot.. I feel like a kid again, having a tea party.
I expected the glass to be thicker like Pyrex, but after trying it out tonight, I have fallen in love with this tea pot. The infuser is made incredibly well, and I love how I can see the beautiful colors of my teas when steeping them. The little end of the spout is even designed so that it doesn't drip after pouring. This really is a perfect teapot.

This is a very elegant teapot. It poors smoothly and looks classy. The only small complaints I have are that it's hard to remove the inner strainer because it's metal, and when you do the glass top doesn't fit on snuggly. It's sturdy, though -- I've had it 3 weeks and so far it's held up to my clumsy ways and the dishwasher.
i bought this to give to a co-worker for her birthday and she adores it. she says that it works wonderfully and looks beautiful in her kitchen

I love this teapot for when I have a couple friends over for tea. The stainless filter really does allow the leaves to breath freely. Every tea looks gorgeous in the glass. The handle is comfortable and the pot pours so elegantly and easily it makes you look like a pro!
Perfect for any house makes a wonderful gift for that some one who enjoys tea.
Functional yet very pretty. An excellent gift combined with the display tea.
Very fragile, but handle with care and its an excellent addition to your teaware. Great making tea for friends and family, or for those days a cup or two just doesn't quench your thirst

I use this in my tall teapot. Too long to use in smaller teapots.
This is a beautiful showpiece, and great for company. However, we did manage to break our first one - first the lid and then the pot. This is an item you need to hand wash ;).
Gift for a friend just getting into tea, it is beautiful and delicate-looking, she loves it.
I love this pot, it shows off the beautiful colors of my oolongs. Graceful lines, nice fine mesh infuser. Very nice.
More effective than, but not as pretty as, the all-glass infuser that comes with the glass mugs & teapots.

Looks great, though it can be hard to clean (tea stains don't look so great). While the glass seems thin and flimsy, it has had up very well for me even though I am not all that gentle with it.
Very cute looking teapot. Being a 1st time loose-tea brewer, I loved everything about this.
It's easy to clean and makes a perfect amount of tea. My favorite part was that it's clear glass. Not only does it match the cups I got, but being able to see the subtle differencs between the tea makes the experience that much more fun.
I highly recommend this if you're just coming off of bags.
This is a wonderful teapot and it looks great in my dining room's glass cabinet! I did notice, as everyone else has, that there are some problems with the lid. It fits just fine when the infuser is in the pot, but when you take the infuser out it is loose. Since I can't imagine serving the tea with the infuser still in it, this can be problematic. Still, it's no biggie: just keep a finger or two on the knob and it stays.
Perhaps if this ever gets a redesign, they could create a lid with two lips underneath it rather than the one. That way the inner lip will fit the infuser, and the outer lip will fit with the teapot when the infuser is not in.
One other thing: the spout on mine had the tiniest chip at the very end. It's not really visible when the teapot is in use and it doesn't interfere with the stream, but it's there nevertheless.
This teapot stands up to the microwave but the lid is fragile. Wonderful for display teas.

Stronger than I expected, given some of the other reviews. Cleans well in the dishwasher and is just the right size for about three cups of tea. Very useful, and attractive.
It looks great, especially when paired with the glass teapot warmer, and I like being able to see the color of the tea. It's a good size if I want multiple mugs of tea, and I find it easy to clean. However, the lid's especially fragile and doesn't fit that well - I feel that despite my best efforts, I'll end up breaking it at some point. Also, the metal strainer's a bit awkward to remove, due to both the heat and the lack of a handle. I like the pot overall despite these weaknesses, but you do have to take a little care in using it.
Pretty descent on the whole. Cleaning is easy, and watching the tea steep is hypnotic - perfectly smooth glass. A bit on the fragile side, so be careful with soapy hands.
As the other reviewers said, the lid just falls right off. I promptly broke mine despite extra efforts to protect it. I don't really like the infuser; a friend has an older version of this pot with a glass infuser which was very cool and seemed to work a bit better.

This is not as sturdy as it looks in the picture. I'm constantly worried that I'm going to bump it and break the pot. The strainer could use holes in the bottom as it holds water in the bottom when you lift it out. The strainer could also use a handle to lift it out to make it less clumsy. It's only saving grace is that it is very very pretty with the tea warmer. This would make a great centerpiece on a tea table in a sitting room if you don't use it often.
This looks really fragile, but as long as one takes care of how they handle the pot, it should last a very long time.
An excellent alternative to the ingenuiTEA pot when there's two or more for tea. Works well and looks gorgeous on the table!
Highly recommended to steep all those high quality teas that Adagio offers. My wife loves the way this teapots looks in our kitchen and I love the way the tea tastes. It really allows the tea leaves to open up for full flavor. It's the perfect size teapot.
