I bought mine about 8 years (?) Ago.....came with a lid.

At the top it says it hold 4 cups which is 32oz but the description says it holds 40oz. What is the correct amount of water to use when using this for your iced tea pouches, 32 or 40 oz?

It holds 40 total ounces, the extra space is meant for ice added to the tea.
