This smells amazing when you open the tin but the flavor once it's brewed takes a little getting used to. It's sharper and more tangy than the scent of the blend promises, but that's all to the good. The word smoky doesn't really apply but it's not completely inaccurate. It's a bit peppery but without any burn at all and the mint is very smooth underneath the sharper notes of the anise and lemon grass. A spoonful of sugar soothes the tongue but it still retains its bite even with the added sweetness.
