When I was just six years old, my grandma (Gandie) introduced me to the movie 'Anne of Green Gables'.
Fast forward twenty years later, and our shared love of that high-spirited, spunky red-head Anne Shirley has become one of the many ties that bind my Gandie and me. Meaning to serve Raspberry cordial; a tasty beverage, to her 'bosom friend' Diana at a school-girlish tea party, poor Anne accidently plies her pal with Currant wine, thus setting her completely drunk. It's a much favored movie scene and a special memory for all kindred spirits.
