Half of the flavors must be dried licorice root. I could not find it on here. The chestnuts accentuates the nutty flavor of the oolong while bringing out the unique sweet and nutty after taste of the licorice. The vanilla also serves to bring the sweet flavor closer to the tip of the tongue

My friends and I got our hands on some licorice root one day and boiled it out of curiosity. When we drank it there was no flavor except a curious nutty sweet after taste that wasn't quite there. The flavor was so light it was more like smelling it. I went home and began throwing things together that I had in my pantry. A few grains of salt at the finish (and I mean a FEW) brings an explosively sweet and nutty flavor to life.
