Celtic Wisdom Tree tea is smart little fusion of 40% Chestnut & 60% Hazelnut Black Ceylon Teas. Rich and nutty, it's a downright addictive blend that gets it's name from it's ingredients- both of which were regarded as sacred providers of wisdom and teachers to the ancient Celtic tribes in the Ireland region. Chestnuts and hazelnuts have long been revered for their medicinal properties, and many cultures used them in this capacity; they are also seen as life givers of sustenance. Whether you're looking for a little wisdom gained, or just a good cup of tea- Celtic Wisdom Tree Tea will quickly become one of your favorite blends. It is good enough to drink in any season, but particularly decadent when sipped on those chilly winter nights when you're curled up with a good book, in search of a little wisdom yourself.

To the ancient Celtic Tribes, trees were sacred providers & teachers. Hazelnut & Chestnut trees were among the most revered; both of which were seen as Trees of Wisdom. Celtic tribes believed Chestnut trees symbolized longevity, provision, fertility & abundance. The annual dropping of the sweet chestnuts from their branches indicated to the tribes that it was harvest time; but more importantly, it signified the end of the warm growing seasons, and that it was imperative for them to begin stocking up food to carry them through the winter months. When times were hard and food was scarce, Chestnuts served as life saving sustenance- and travelers were always given some to protect & carry them through their journey. Hazel Trees were literally regarded as the Tree of Knowledge- providers of sustenance, home to the native owls of the region (who themselves were sacred symbols of wisdom); it was also the 9th tree of the Celtic Tree Calendar. It was closely affiliated with the Triple Goddess (whose name varied from tribe to tribe), and believed to rule over wisdom, poetry, science & music. Both Hazel & Chestnut Trees served as medicinal plants as well, and were used for making tools of divination and guidance.
