In the late 70's I was a rock and roll singer living in Amsterdam, touring and making records. Near my house was a dark little shop that specialized in teas. The shop had been there since the 1600's. It was full of little wooden drawers and big, hand-blown glass jars that contained tea flavors and types not to be found anywhere I had ever seen or heard of before. When I was back home, tired from touring, this was the favorite blend of tea they used to put together for me. Deeply aromatic, soothing, with a underlying citrusy bite.
