Quite a good winter warmer with the addition of the vanilla. I would have rated this as great, but I like the caramel version a lot more.
Rich vanilla and sweet, lightly fruity Rooibos herb. Warm sugar cookies, mellow flavor, smooth finish. Yum!

Quite a good winter warmer with the addition of the vanilla. I would have rated this as great, but I like the caramel version a lot more.
This tea is good for every occasion. Subtle and delicious and easily sweetened, but not necessarily in need of sweetening.
Had this tea on board Lufthansa back in'08. Amazing flavor
This is the best rooibos flavor I've had yet. The vanilla compliments it.
Hot, I find this tea to be a pretty solid 'okay'. Not bad, but not the best I've had and not something I absolutely have to have. Iced, on the other hand . . . well I've pretty much fallen in love with this tea iced. I take a big travel mug of it to work with me and the day just seems to go better.
Very interesting blend for sure. I don't think I have mastered steeping it yet because it has had a slightly different taste everytime but practice makes perfect
This tea smells wonderful and tastes just as nice as it smells. I think this is a great afternoon tea.
This tea is excellent for those times when you're not sure if you'll be able to finish your cup before it starts cooling. It smells amazing all throughout its 'lifespan,' and I find that more flavors come out as the tea cools. In fact, sometimes I let it cool intentionally. An excellent rooibos tea with vanilla undertones.
I'm not that biggest fan of rooibos but this was pretty good!
A very mild and pleasing vanilla flavor really melds well with the taste of the rooibos. One of the better flavored rooibos teas I've had.
Going to have to update this one, because right now I'm drinking it blended with the rooibos cinnamon apple, and I like the hint of vanilla it adds. Whether I'll like it on its own or not, I'm not sure - but it's definitely adding something to my blend!
Rooibos is not my cup o tea. Felt oily and didn't have much vanilla taste.
Madagascar vanilla in a cup. Absolutely perfect. There is no better vanilla tea on this site.
Wow. Where do I even start? This stuff smells FANTASTIC. It smells like a cigar or pipe tobacco like others said. It has that nice flavor that rooibos seems to always include, and the vanilla is light but smooth and rich.
I LOVE this tea. I ordered it since there was a strawberry rooibos tea I used to love, and I thought the vanilla would pair nicely. Of all my samples, this was the last one I tried, and it should have been the first! Earthy and sweet, I don't even add honey.
Hard to describe the flavor here, I think the closest thing I could come up with is boxed vanilla pudding. It's a very thick vanilla flavor, that's not for the vanilla skeptics. It's probably quite capable of holding its own in blends with other strong flavors though. If you're already familiar with rooibos (and like it) then this is a solid unique tea... if not, be warned that the flavor is quite distinct.
Other comments about 'sugar cookie'flavors are right! Mellow aroma, but the taste is sweet vanilla. I'm not big on milk in tea, but think it would be just the thing to put this tea over the top.
I have tried several different brands of rooibos vanilla tea, and I'm sad to say this isn't my favorite -- but it *is* the one I'll continue purchasing from now on because it is organic, and pretty much farm-to-mug! The only reason it didn't blow me out of the boiling water was because of how weak the flavor was compared to others I have had. Even when brewing with more tea per cup and longer, I couldn't get the strength I like. Vanilla Rooibos tea is *the* favorite tea in our family, so we prefer it strong.
I've come to the realization that Rooibos tea is my favorite. This particular tea is smooth and sweet - with a strong vanilla flavor. Love it.
This tea is so warm and comforting. It's one of my favorite teas to drink at the end of a long day and it blends really well too. It's also great with homemade cookies or donuts.
I am a huge fan of the rooibos blends, and this one is my absolute favorite!
Love this tea! No caffeine and wonderful taste-what more could you want? Give it a try!
Besides the Rooibos Jasmine, this is THE most delicious rooibos tea I've EVER had. Needless to say, the only way either tea is improved is by blending them together, something I wholeheartedly recommend!
Great flavor, adds a hint of vanilla to some of my favorite flavors.
Love it!!! The best nighttime tea. My kids like it, too and it makes them relaxed for bed.
This is a tasty, but simple tea. It's good by itself or with a little bit of sugar and milk. I like to drink it at the end of the day to wind down.
It's not very sweet, but not bitter, either. I think this might be more of an earthy taste? Despite my sweet tooth, I actually preferred this tea with less sugar than I usually use. Seems like a very good base for a blend.
This is something I'd tried before and just never realized. I love the blend and the way it hits my tongue. Its super satsifying and delicious. For the longest time I couldn't drink roobios teas because all I smelled was mulch, and it seems thats going away. I'm happy because I love drinking tea before bed.
This is such a wonderful, rich and warm rooibos! I used to get vanilla rooibos from Republic of Tea, but over time it just wasn't good enough quality...the rooibos was weak and the vanilla flavoring tasted artificial and saccharine. Adagio's version is so rich and robust, the vanilla is gentle and tastes real, the quality is infinitely better. I was drinking it so often that I ran out before I knew what happened! Now I have to wait for my new order to be delivered, sadness. The great thing about rooibos is that you never have to worry about over-steeping and bitterness, it just never happens. You can leave the bag in for an hour and it only enriches and deepens the flavor. I do love black tea (though I can't drink it often for health reasons), but I'm rather absent-minded and have ruined many a cuppa by forgetting to take the bag out. Not an issue with the rooibos. Love it with cream and sugar.
This tastes like a warm vanilla cookie. It is even a little rich tasting. I ended up adding a little bit of sugar to make it taste even more vanilla-y and rich. Best of all, after dinner I had a stomachache, and it helped! I think I'll really enjoy this tea often. It might even be good iced. Definitely a rebuy and the best vanilla rooibos I've tried yet.
liked this one mixed with other teas but by itself it was just alright for me
Quite simply delicious. The perfect flavor for relaxing on a cold night.
At first I was startled by the subtle tastes that came with the bold smell. While it smells strongly of rooibos vanilla, the taste holds a more subtle taste, the rooibos vanilla coming out more strongly in the aftertaste, though still not overpoweringly so. To me, the mix of strong scent and subtle taste was perfect.
Perfect nighttime tea. Great with a splash of milk. Relaxing and full-flavored.
I just received my sample of rooibos vanilla today, and it is absolutely delicious. The vanilla flavor is very noticeable, but is not too overwhelming. This is an excellent flavor of rooibos tea.
Really nice flavor, perfect before bedtime as it's very soothing, the vanilla flavor isn't too overwhelming.
Starbucks was actually the first time I had had Vanilla Rooibos. This surpasses Starbucks by far. It's a fantastic tea.
Tasted excellent. Only reason to downgrade from great to good was that the leaves/roots were a bit smaller than I anticipated which results in a bit of 'dirt' getting past the strainer and making it's way into the cup.
This was a really great tea. I had it with a some milk and sugar and the taste was exquisite.
Upon first opening my sample I thought it smelled strongly of flavored cough syrup, not very appealing. I made the tea and that sent definitely mellowed out, but lingered a bit in the after taste. I think if I drunk this often enough I might like it, but it is on to other flavors for now.
I like this rooibos, but I'm still looking for a nice, warm flavor blend that takes milk well. The vanilla can taste a bit flat in this tea. Still, my favorite of the Adagio flavored rooibos I've tried so far.
I just didn't get as much Vanilla as I was anticipating.
This is, so far, the best tea I've ever consumed from here or anywhere. Absolutely perfect. I like sweet teas, and this is pretty sweet. Other reviewers mentioned a cookie-like flavor, which I think is perfectly accurate. And, since I end up drinking tea a lot at night, I consume copious amounts of it!
Nice smooth vanilla taste. My first time trying rooibos tea. Didn't quite blow me away but it it has a nice taste. Might grow on me with time.
This smells and tastes exactly like my grandmother'svanilla pound cake, so it instantly makes me feel good. I love the warm sugary flavor of the vanilla here. It cuts the medicinal flavor of the rooibos and leaves the pleasant flavor of cake. This is lovely on its own but it would be ideal in blends when a soft sweetness is required. I want more of this tea already.
The smell is almost overwhelming and does not represent the taste of this tea in my humble opinion. It has a very strong, almost medicine-like odor but the taste is very warm and enjoyable. Despite the smell, I will probably purchase again in the future.
All time favorite tea. I try my best to stay away from caffeine. This tea is absolutely wonderful. (Coming from a coffee lover), this tea brews a dark red and it is a very good coffee substitute. I brew it for about 7 minutes and drink it black.
OH my goodness this was an amazing tea! It had a nice and smooth flavor going in then a creamy vanilla aftertaste. I would totally get this again!
After just one cup of this tea, I ordered the giant bag. It was that good. Versatile, no caffeine to keep you awake, and mix-able with other tea!
When you open the bag it really does smell like a cookie! The sweetness is subtle too. My only complaint is that the leaves in my bag were so tiny that they fell through the strainers I use.
