It's funny how after trying a lot of flavored rooibos teas (rooibos vanilla especially) the original somehow seemed to have the best taste. It reminds me of old tobacco stores from childhood, maybe that's why.

I adore rooibos tea. This sampler is a great way to familiarize yourself with it and get to know the different kinds. I could drink rooibos all day and not get bored.

I had tried a number of flavored Rooibos teas before but this was my first experience with the plain Rooibos.

In the flavored varieties, the base flavor helps bring out the added flavors. Without those aded flavors though, it's a but overpowering. Sort of like chicory with coffee. Ever had straight chicory?

I really enjoy the smokey flavor of this tea. This is a tea I plan to drink for the rest of my life.

I purchased this because vanilla rooibos was unavailable. It was ok but I really prefer the vanilla. It does taste good when mixed with peppermint. I also brew with fresh lemon balm for a great iced tea.

I really enjoy this tea. I like it on its own, and sometimes I mix in an herbal tea (my favorite being strawberry), which also makes it delicious iced.

Because of its dusty consistency and tendency to floar, this is one tea - fine though it may be - that I actually prefer in a bag.

Has a kind of earthy taste I was not pleased with. My family loves it iced though.

Rooibos has great flavor and it's completely caffiene free, which I love. It also helps me get to sleep easier at night.

Great night time brew. Helps me fall asleep faster and more soundly then Chamomile. And does not aggrivate my allergies like chamomile can.

A great change from the ordinary tea, will definitely order more.

Great organic product, great price, would be nice if Adagio could carry the green organic Rooibos as well

My first experience with Rooibos and I find the flavor a bit lacking -- not bad, just not the 'tea flavor' I was expecting. I find the flavored Rooibos much more enjoyable.

The batch I received was mellow, with very little tabacco flavor (my girlfriend's favorite rooibus, she said it tasted 'clean'). Great to drink at night.

Great tea. I have at least one cup a day. It has a rooty taste but not overpowering.

Wonderful taste!!Love it--especially when I'm in the mood for something plain...but still has a wonderful scent and flavour for the spirit and tastebuds.

I'm not a fan of herbal teas (they remind me too much of the smell of freshly mown grass) but I thought that the rooibos was worth a try. I've decided that I like TEA, not tea substitutes. I ended up throwing out the whole tin.

This was good, but I prefer it when mixed with another tea, perhaps a fruit, peppermint or vanilla. This is my first time trying plain rooibos tea, and now I understand why it's always mixed with vanilla or another flavor. Plain rooibos is definitely an acquired taste.

I purchased this for my brother-in-law. He loves it and when anyone asks if they can have any, he says 'no that's the special stuff just for me'.

This really tastes like real tea. Offers a nice base for added flavors too.

An excellent exaple of rooibos tea, best mixed with another flavor (try cinammmon, or fruit). Makes a great bedtime drink due to lack of caffine.

This rooibos is every bit as good as any you'll find and it is far more cost effective here than in bags at the grocery store.

Loose rooibos is so much better than that in a bag. This tea is great for evenings to unwind, as there is no caffeine in it.

An interesting alternative to standard teas. Makes a pleasant reddish cup with an almost tobacco-ish flavor, mixes well with chamomile too.

I preferred the Rooibos with the small amount of peppermint added, however i still did enjoy it.

Rooibos was a new experience for me. I had only had it one other time. It's not bad and a good nighttime drink

Excellent rooibos tea and the best I've tried yet. Equally good as hot tea and as iced tea. I recommend adding a cinnamon stick while brewing for a little extra spice.

This is the only tea from Adagio that I just couldn't drink. Maybe it was just a weird interaction between my particular palate and the rooibos sample, but it tasted bitter, and just generally unpleasant.

Wonderful rooibos! Balanced, and satisfying after dinner or evening tea. No need for milk or sugar, it can stand on its own.

Tastes better to me when it's cooled to room temperature. I'd get it again.

Rooibos is one of those (non)teas which varies quite a bit from different sources. This one was earthy, with not as much of a tobacco taste as others I have tried.

I love rooibos. It's perfect before bed. It's difficult to describe, you must try it. A slightly sweet taste, slightly citric, I don't think that one can "overbrewed" it--it never grows bitter.

definitely a different taste. not quite like tea, if that's what you're expecting. i mix it with fruit medley to make a great tasting decaf iced tea.

This tea has the flavor of black tea but with an extraordinary smoothness. It has no caffeine and is very relaxing to drink.

I didn't believe it, but it's true--this really does taste a lot like "real" tea, just a little milder and sweeter. Highly recommended for those evenings when you don't want caffeine but can't face an herbal.

Rooibos tastes much different than black tea. It has a burgundy hue and a subtle sweet-bark flavor, almost like root beer without the nip. The taste might take some getting used to but I think it is a very nice tea, and probably tastes very nice iced as well because it doesn?t have the ?edge? many black teas have.

Very unusual and took a while to get used to, an aquired taste, but did enjoy very much!

I use the Rooibos and Chamomile and Peppermint to make my own foxtrot and it is great!!

I don't know if I did something wrong, or simply don't have the taste for Rooibos, but the one pot I brewed before I passed the sample on tasted like dirt and hay. Simply not appealing.

This one smells odd and doesn't taste much better.

I bought this for my father. I don't know that he liked it so much, as he is more a traditional tea drinker, and rooibos is nothing like black tea. If you try not to compare or have expectations of it, however, and enjoy it on its own terms, rooibos can be an interesting change. Some of the fruit flavors are better than others--I didn't care for vanilla and like the peach best. This is a good way to sample rooibos if you are curious.

Excellent! Actually, somewhat sweet; nice to blend with bitter teas to make iced tea.

Although tea-like in some ways, Rooibos has an almost citrusy quality I enjoyed very much. I'm ordering a larger quantity this time.

I tried this sample because when I read about Rooibos I couldn't imagine it being compaired to tea. The slender reddish needles looked so alien to me. It was really good. A bedtime treat, and a nice alternative to the caffeine
