Of all the rooibos flavors, I think the original one is still the best. Great when you don't want caffeine.
Rooibos, sometimes known as "Red Tea" (although not from the actual tea bush), is an herb that grows only in South Africa. Our rooibos is slightly fruity and smooth with a mild, herbal texture. Very forgiving - won't over-steep.

Of all the rooibos flavors, I think the original one is still the best. Great when you don't want caffeine.
Nice alternative to a mug of black tea, goes great with milk.
Great quality rooibos. My wife drinks this all the time. We steep it for 10 minutes instead of the suggested 7 and it really brings something else out.
Reminds me of tabacco. I enjoyed trying this, but will probably not order any more
I found it soothing, particulary in the evening when I want something warm but wish to avoid caffeine.
My Rooibos sampler ran out, and it wasn't my favorite, but I miss it sometimes. It has a good, unique barky flavor.
This tea is so consistenly robust and flavorful, you forget your drinking tea! i put it in my espresso machine, drip coffee maker, cast iron, tea ball, inginuitea, the WORKS, its amazing with milk, without, with sugar, with foamed milk, latte style, iced, i mean, what other tea's can you say that with? it doesnt have too much of a super sweet taste, which is great, because you can just drink it all year!
This is delightful rooibos. I make up a mix of chamomile, rooibos, and a touch of spearmint for my bedtime tisane.
This is one of the better quality rooiboses I've had (I used it in a homebrew beer)
I like the plain rooibos best. I can add my own spices and zest to add extra flavor
I was advised to try rooibos, so I got a sample of it. I'm not impressed at all. The smell and taste remind me of tobacco, which is a huge turn off. Maybe a flavored rooibos would be better.
perhaps i'm not brewing it right, but it just doesn't quite taste... correct.
Everyone raves about the vanilla rooibos, but I love the plain most of all. My best friend is South African (where rooibos comes from) and I made some of this for him. It met with his total approval. You really MUST give rooibos a try and don't give up until you've experimented with it a bit if you don't love it right away. This has become a real staple in our home. Even my wife, an inveterate New Yorker coffee drinker, loves the stuff!
This was a great red tea. However, rooibos has a distinct taste that a alot of people don't like, so get a sample first! For me its a good replacement for coffee; there is something about it's strange flavor that reminds me of a sweet coffee.
Suprisingly, while it smells aweful, it tastes quite good. It was my first rooibos tea, and I recommend it as an OK introduction to rooibos teas (if you can get past the smell)
Smooth tea with no caffeine. Great tea to sip at midnight!
Delicious, with just a hint of sweetness. A great everyday tea. I like to make large quantities of this tea in the morning and sip it all day long.
Nice, simple everyday tisane. Especially before bedtime.
Rooibos (a.k.a. 'Red Tea') is always a great option for those that want to avoid caffiene or just try something outside of the tea norm. Rooibos has a warm, earthy, nutty flavor/aroma that light tea drinkers may find offensive, but that black tea, oolong, or even coffee drinkers can certainly appreciate.
If you are a red tea fan you will love this tea.
I didn't expect the 'peppery' taste to be that strong (or I'm really sensitive to the flavor). The tea didn't have as much body behind it as I would've liked.
I've only had rooibos in teabags in the past. This was a wonderful change...a great sipping tea.
This is my first time trying rooibos. Very interesting taste, almost like unsweetened black grass jelly if you know what I mean.
This tea was okay but not my favorite. I think that I just don't like rooibos tea.
What can you say? Rooibos is an awesome caffeine-free alternative to tea, and tastes great. Great hot or iced...many possibilities. Adagio's offering does not disapoint.
This was the first time that I ever had red tea. It had a strong earthy flavor and a great smell.
I've tried other brands of rooibos tea and didnt expect this to be much different, but surprisingly it was. To truely try red tea you must order it from here.
whats more to say, it's red tea done, well red. Delicious.
First time trying this tisane, found it to be rather a nutty flavor, but good. Will probably order again
I guess the rooibos taste just does not work for me, at least in a straight form. My friends do like it, so I will keep it jsut to entertain them.
Wonderful tea to use in blends with other flavors/herbs.
I loved this tea. It's a very versatile tea that you can drink iced, hot and at any time of day.
Very earthy taste. Reminiscent of something very familiar but unable to place. Great by itself but also plays well with others.
Not one of my favourites, but interesting. Probably won't buy again, but I like keeping it around in case someone else wants to try it - it does seem to be slipping into mainstream. My husband almost liked it (he doesn't like tea), especially when infused with a bit of Jasmine #12. (I found it better that way, too, but then, I love Jasmines.)
I am used to drinking flavored rooibos tea, so it was nice to try plain for a change. It is quite nice. Oakey/honey/vanilla flavors, kind of reminds me of autumn. Tannins are light to moderate depending on the steap time. I tend to steap for 6-7 minutes/boiling fresh water.
My husband prefers this to any decaf that he's had for that 'late night' cup.
i LOVE this tea! it's rich, slightly sweet taste is just perfect for any time of day or night. add a little agave nectar, and it is a lovely treat.
Great flavor. A little goes a long way with this tea.
Rooibos is a great deal to replace black tea when I'm trying to go low on caffeine. It tastes sweeter and goes well solo or with milk. I like to add flavor to it, though, depending on my mood, like peppermint, blood orange, berries, spices...
not used to this type of tea. the flavor seems bark-like to me. may be better flavored.
Rooibos is a nice change from other teas. Has a nice, unique flavor that is earthy and slightly vanilla.
My rating in no way relate to the quality of tea - Adagio s the best I've found. I just am not a rooibos fan.
Rooibos was OK, but my system did not agree with this tea. I could could tell from the first cup that there was something that cause my body not to agree with this tea. It cause a lot of gas and heartburn. I would rate it OK, but I would not try it again, because of the affect it has on my body.
While rooibos is interesting to drink, it seems to get a bit mawkish after a while.
This is nice if you add some honey to it, otherwise it's really bland. If you want some good flavor do rooibos mango.
I'm addicted to iced rooibos. I make a pitcher of it every morning, and it's gone by the end of the day.
Very nice mellow tea. This is a favorite evening tea.
great tea!! better than yogi's brand. the taste is awesome!!
I'm am fairly new to the tea community but this is certainly one of my favorite teas.
I'm not that much of a fan of this flavor, but many of my friends do enjoy rooibos.
I hate the cough syrup smell and I was having my doubts about this tea. When I tasted it I was really surprised at how good it is and I was really happy with it until there was a bit of an aftertaste. I'm going to give it another shot, though...
