I am a little disappointed, but it is still pretty good.
Rooibos, sometimes known as "Red Tea" (although not from the actual tea bush), is an herb that grows only in South Africa. Our rooibos is slightly fruity and smooth with a mild, herbal texture. Very forgiving - won't over-steep.

I am a little disappointed, but it is still pretty good.
I am not a huge rooibos fan. By itself it is quite bland but mixed with other teas it is not so bad.
With a very weak, almost undetectable flavor, and an aroma that strongly reminded me of medicine, I do not particularly like this tea.
I receive this on 'auto delivery' because it is so perfect for me. The flavor is full, with just the right amount of subtle sour twinge to it. The color is a beautiful, deep amber, and the lack of caffeine makes this perfect for a late night cup. I highly recommend this tea!
Naturally caffeine free with subtle flavors of vanilla and hint of tobacco, makes this great for night time tea drinking. This tea is very fine so remember to use a fine meshed tea strainer or those paper filter bags when you try it for the first time!
Very good quality rooibos with a nice vanilla undertone
i was a bit nervous to try this for some reason, but i am glad i did. i found that you need to brew it for 6-7 minutes because it is a very weak tea. i love the smell too
A very pleasant herbal tea. The aroma reminds me of horse leather (not in a bad way). Just a small bit of astringency, depending on how long the infusion is. A great bedtime tea - I will be ordering more.
I love this rooibos tea! I'm a big fan of rooibos anyway, and using the loose tea version of it just ramps up the flavor.
I love this tea. Make it a little thick and put some milk in it. Perfect.
Sweet and refreshing, I am very pleased with this rooibos. It is on par with the best I have, though I also recommend trying the green rooibos from Adagio.
Sharp, bold, bright taste. A bit more kick than regular black tea.
I ordered this as a gift, so will claim the points by writing a review.
Love this, its great for when you just feel like going back to the basics
Full bodied dry straw accord with a lingering, somewhat off-putting herbal or medicinal twinge on the back end. Vibrant amber brew with well rounded woodsy body. Thin, yet silky in the mouth. Not suitable for all. Try a sample pack before jumping in head first.
Very good! This rooibos may have changed my opinion on rooibos teas forever. Before this any rooibos i got tasted stale and the needles were as dry as dust but this one looked great in the bag and tasted just as good.
Would've preferred a slightly stronger taste, the Rooibos is decent quality. Mixes ok with a splash of milk. Doesn't turn bitter if you steep for too long which is nice. Not sure if I'll purchase again, but that is more because I'm not sure Rooibos is for me.
Rooibos is a great herbal tea. It's flavor is difficult to describe, so if you haven't tried this tea, take a chance.
If I were to go on looks alone, I would never have tried this one. The flavor, however, is surprisingly good. This is one of our favorites.
Bought this tea from another supplier several months ago and loved the taste. Just brewed my first pot from Adagio and WOW, excellent product. Lived in farm area for 6 years as a child in 1950s, spending summer days playing in the high grass fields. When I drink this Rooibos red tea, the smell and taste makes me think of those childhood memories...it's clean, smooth and for some reason makes me think of freshly cut hay.
This is a nice rooibos. It tastes completely different from most teas and it supposedly has a lot of health benefits, so I recommend it.
Bought it to see what the fuss is about. Not a fan of the rooibos flavor at all. Tastes like herbal medicine.
Lots of good health benefits, so I like to drink it, but I usually have to blend it with something else. I prefer the Rooibos vanilla.
Good for breakfast, relaxing or just with a snack!
I love Adagio rooibos. It is rich in taste compared to other brands you can buy in a store.
This tea we drink before going to bed. Tastes great and is relaxing.
I feel like I've had stronger (or perhaps quicker to brew) rooibos before, but this is good stuff! Rooibos is my favorite, I drink it all day, and I'm glad to have finally found filters fine enough to use loose 'leaf.'
The flavor is a little weird when compared to traditional teas, but it will grow on you, and it's great to help you go to sleep at night.
This has become my favorite evening tea. I like the smooth and present flavor. I have found that brewing is quite forgiving -- I enjoy a cup whether it has brewed for a couple of minutes or a half-hour (I get distracted sometimes).
I like the smoothness of rooibos. It is very relaxing, a nice end of the day ritual.
subtle scent and beautiful color of tea perfect for guests!
Rooibos is my favorite tea for winding down for bed, the subtle woody flavor is balanced perfectly by the sweet notes which get stronger the longer it is brewed, you can not over-brew this tea.
Great way to get good antioxidants and not have to worry about caffine.
Might be my personal favorite. So good that I'm trying other Rooibos teas!
This is a true winner. Very smooth tea- iced or hot
Not bad this was my first taste of adagio teas. It is a little to dry and tasteless. I will now try some other favors and go from there!
Rooibos takes a little getting used to if you're accustomed to black tea, but definitely worth a try. This tea has a wonderful calming effect (along with its other benefits) and is great for nighttime.
I usually don't like rooibos, but the one from adagio has a really nice almost vanilla-like flavor.
i'm sure some people really like this tea, but to me, it tasted and smelled like the bark mulch you put on the flower bed. It could very well taste better flavored, but I didn't like this alone at all.
I'm one of those who actually enjoys rooibos. I've found Adagios quality to be consistently high. This is enjoyable 'neat' as well as steeped with various herbs etc.
This was the first time I tried Rooibos and I loved it!
I love the basic flavor of this tea. It's woodsy and wonderful.
I was originally worried about this one, but really, this tea is a great example of the rich, earthy flavor of Rooibos. Very forgiving, as over-steeping it just makes it taste better, in my opinion. Great when paired with Honeybush.
Full bodied, rich, but mellow flavor. You can drink it day or night.
This is...a very strange tea. It kind of tastes like tree branches. Not that grassy 'planty' kind of taste, but something more like tree bark. Not my favorite, but certainly interesting.
This is good stuff, in more ways than one. I've been brewing it with green or black tea, and using fruit juice for sweetener. Tastes GREAT with white grape juice as iced tea.
And with all the antioxidants in rooibos, I get the added benefit off something that's good for me.
I am not a huge fan of herbal teas and haven't tried rooibos from any other source. I found it to be okay, but rather medicinal in smell and taste.
I really enjoy this tea, it is great by itself or mixed with one of the fruit blends.
I'm hooked on rooibos. Has no caffeine and has a distinct earthy flavor. Very soothing.
I was highly skeptical and did not expect much, but this tea is freakin' great. Has great 'black tea' flavor with no hint of bitterness, very light to drink. I recommend this to anyone who wants to avoid caffeine, very good.
