I consider rooibos to be an old reliable. It's a bit sweet, a bit savory, not caffeinated, delicious hot or iced. Add a few slices of fruit to a pitcher of the iced if you like, or drink as is. Lovely.
This is my favorite type of tea. So I cannot say enough about just plain rooibos and its many different variations. If you haven't tried any rooibos tea, I implore you to give it a go. You won't regret it.

I wanted to find a tea that was caffeine free and had anti-oxidant properties. This tea, which is grown in South Africa, has the flavor of black tea because it is fermented. It is a deep red color when brewed and has not caffeine. YEAH!

Good flavor, a lot like black tea. Somewhat bitter if used to herbals, and it needs to be sweetened to bring out its fullest flavor

I have never tried any sort of rooibos, so I figured I would try this. Not really great on it's own, but I tried adding a little mint from my garden. This takes other flavors and turns FANTASTIC!

It's pretty good as far as rooibos goes. I don't much care for straight rooibos unless it's been mixed with something, so I added honey to mine and drank it with a few shortbread cookies. Delicious!

More than just great this is a super tea! Since I sold my coffee shop and my tea supplier folded I have been looking for a place to get Rooibos. This is the place! Adagio has a fine Rooibos that has a wonderful aroma and taste. Rooibos is a super tea that over the 5 years I have been drinking it has boosted my immune system and overall made me feel better. I highly recommend this tea to anyone, especially since it is caffine free. It has helped me with my menopause symptom of sleeplessness as well.

this is just plain rooibos and it has a great smell and taste as it is, I like to combine some herbal tea to accompany it every once in a while but they're totally not needed to enjoy this tea!
Classic woody cedar sweetness. Steep as long as you want and it's fine - I've left it for 1/2 an hour and it's still great.
I haven't tried a billion types of rooibos. I bought this one to use as a base for some other (more potently flavored) teas. It smells of tobacco but tastes nice and smooth. It's perfect for me because of the lack of caffeine and its ability to create a smooth background for blends.

Great rooibos tea! I often make this by the pot and sometimes use it in combination with the Adagio flavored varieties like rooibos earl grey or rooibos jasmine for a slightly more subtle flavor.

I was looking for a basic rooibos so I wouldn't have to spend so much money at my local tearoom for a single cup of tea. this works nicely as a substitute.
I've never had pure rooibos, it's always been in a mix with something else or heavily flavored, so finally experiencing the true flavor was enjoyable. Dry, it smells decidedly herbal, almost medicinal, with a tang of orange peel. Brewing results in a deep burnt orange liquor with an almost overpowering aroma of honey without the sweetness. The citrus element is still there, bright and lemony. The flavor is somewhere in between, soft and woody, with orange peel and honey underlying it all. Use a very fine mesh when brewing this as the particulars are much smaller than normal.
Adagio Rooibos is yummy and yields a beautiful, ruby-red liquor.

This red tea is crisp and brews very dark which is a plus. I enjoyed it more than rooibos vanilla chai. You never have to worry about over brewing it. I boiled water and poured it over the tea almost immediately and sometimes let it steep for up to 8 minutes. I initially ordered only a few ounces and now have a 20 oz. bag stocked. When I add more ingredients to my tea cabinet, I hope to use this for a coconut rooibos chai mix. A

I got this one for my mother and she liked it, which is what I suppose matters. I personally thought it didn't taste like anything in particular. I think I'll try it with honey next time.

OMG!!! This is my newest favorite tea! Granted, when I first tried it, I was put off by the strong tobacco smell and taste. But it grew quickly on me! Now I can't do a day without it. In fact I ran out of my sample size and am about to order the biggest size they have! Thanks yet again Adagio!
