This was the first time I've ever tried rooibos. I love it!! It's so flavorful. One of my new favorites.
Rooibos, sometimes known as "Red Tea" (although not from the actual tea bush), is an herb that grows only in South Africa. Our rooibos is slightly fruity and smooth with a mild, herbal texture. Very forgiving - won't over-steep.

This was the first time I've ever tried rooibos. I love it!! It's so flavorful. One of my new favorites.
I am extremely satisfied with the Rooibos tea.
I steep it and mix other flavors with it occasionally.
Have not found one I didn't like.
Such a great herbal tea. Best after 4pm because it is caffeine free.
One of my favorite Adagio teas so far. Even though it is an herbal, and I like my teas to give me a bit of a boost, I didn't mind winding down with this tea and a muffin. This is one of the first teas that I liked to drink without any additives like agave or honey. This will be a tea that I will definitely always have on my shelf.
This is a solid rooibos. That being said, there is nothing super special about it. It makes a nice cup of red tea, as it's also called, that has a deep color and strong aroma. My girlfriend said the smell reminded her of cough syrup from when she was a child, but I didn't get that impression. That being said, she did like the taste and drank it, and even refilled. The beauty of rooibos is how hardy it is, it's very difficult to oversteep or burn it.
very good taste. I enjoy mixing it with other teas
Solid rooibos tea. I really like it either iced with sugar or hot with milk and sugar, even though I normally drink my tea black.
Very smooth and earthy- reminds me of how a garden smells after it rains. Blends very well with a bit of chamomile.
I love rooibos tea, and so does my significant other. This is perfect and clean tasting with a sweet aftertaste that in my opinion makes a great iced tea.
This rooibos is among the best I've tasted, well-priced, and its inclusion in the Roots campaign is great. I make vats of it iced each week and add other herbs, flavors, or teas as it strikes me.
This was my first time with straight rooibos and I was worried that I wouldn't like it, but I found it really pleasant.
Wonderful tea!! Add a little honey and cream for an evening treat.
This decaf tea is so delicious. It was introduced to me by my uncle who is from South Africa and I have never gone back!
I've done some research into scientific studies. It seems like rooibos has lots of great health benefits, so it's a good alternative in the afternoon/evening for caffeinated tea.
Never had a rooibos before, but wanted to give it a try. Not a real exciting tea for my tastes, but it was fine.
I really like this and honeybush. Nice when you would rather not have any caffeine.
I normally have done hot brewing: spring water at 190F followed by steeping for 6 minutes. I do 32-34 ounces at a time in a tea bag with 4 Teaspoons of Rooibos. Cold brewing with 'acidic' spring did not work. But just recently I have returned to cold brewing: 'alkaline' spring water like Absopure with a 7.5pH. I put 32-34 ounces in a jar, add a tea bag with 6 Teaspoons (not 4) of Rooibos and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 18 hrs. That's right 18 hrs. With the more alkaline spring water the cold brewing is great. It is easier, less time consuming, no need to watch the stove for the water to get up to 190F, no gas or electricity. Alkaline water seems to leach out the ingredients in the Rooibos. At the end of 18 hours I also 'mash' the tea bag with a wooden potato masher and that forces out more ingredients. Rooibos fights body cell decay, brain cell decay and definitely helps you sleep better at night. I am large volume tea drinker, at least 64 ounces per day of tea only, not milk, juice, coffee, soda or tap water. 32+ ounces per day of Yerba Mate, 16 ounces of Guarana and 16 ounces of Rooibos every day with alkaline water. Traditional drinks mentioned above have absolutely not health value whatsoever.
So why drink them when you can drink tea, make it at home and it is a lot cheaper. I only use Coconut Palm Sugar in my 32+ ounces containers and use only 8 teaspoons or 4% sugar by volume. Coconut sugar is like taking a multivitamin: 16 amino acids and 4 kickass minerals. Far more healthier than white refined sugar.
Sweet and fulfilling. One of the best rooibos teas I've had.
I'm not a huge fan of rooibos, but I gave this a try since Adagio sent it to me. It's good if you like rooibos tea, but sadly for me, not that great if you aren't a fan.
After sampling both the rooibos and honeybush teas, I prefer the honeybush as it has a brighter and cleaner taste to me.
I had previously only tried the blue green rooibos, but this red is my favorite by itself or in combination with the pu erh spice. Very aromatic, and I drink it all day long.

I use this to mix a big batch and mix with a little pomegrante juice for a delicious cold ice tea. Of course, it is great seeped and sipped right away.
I was a bit disappointed with this tea. I have had rooibos before but at the time I found it too weak. I was sure that this tea was going to be stronger, and it was, accept, the flavor was completely different. It was a little too sweet, and a little too tart and had another flavor that I just couldn't place. I actually really like the medicine like flavor of rooibos and it just wasn't really there.
Rooibos is always the best, this is really good tea
This tea not only taste great, it is a health investment!
Read on line the benefits of rooibos tea, you will make it
Part of your daily intake. Best gift for anyone!
One of the keepers from our sample pack!! Will order more.
This tea is delicate and soft, and you just want to wrap yourself up in it. It's great because it doesn't over-steep, and it goes with everything!
I enjoy rooibos in all its form. Can't ever go wrong with straight rooibos! I always find it of high quality from adagio and I never order from anywhere else.
This stuff is magic. It is a perfect dessert tea and a great remedy for the common cold.
I was skeptical about this tea at first because the aroma wasn't like the other teas I've tried. The flavor definitely tastes different than the aroma. I read that this tea is enjoyed in South Africa, with a little milk added. I like this tea and would recommend it if you are wanting to try something different.
Hello, my name is Mar and I'm a rooibos addict. There, I've said it. This is my first try of Adagio, and it's the FINEST tasting rooibos tea I've ever had. Fresh, potent taste. Will be buying all my tea here now. UPDATE -- still loving the rooibos!
I could drink this tea all day. It's so easy to drink. It has a very interesting flavor, sort of vanilla like.
Y'all this rooibos is just so good. The flavor is rich and the color is gorgeous. Highly recommended.
Plain flavor provides simplicity and experimenting. Great taste and can easily be paired.
I always buy this rooibos for myself and for my sister. I love the fact that it doesn't have caffeine and quite a few health benefits.
Heard about this tea in a book I was reading. Once I tried it I was instantly hooked. Great any time of the day but especially a nice cup at night as it has no caffeine.
Bought a large bag. I use it as a cold brew in mason jars, and as a blend with irish breakfast. Flavor is subtle but enjoyable.
I love this tea especially since it is caffeine free and I can drink it in the evenings.
Is comparable to other Rooibos teas have purchased from import shops.
Steeps well both with boiling water and with hot water from the water cooler. Very hard to over steep. I generally am able to get 1 good steeping, and 1-2 additional steepings of 1 quart from about 1 tablespoon.
Rooibos tea is my favorite and this stuff is delicious. There is no caffeine in it so I can drink it whenever I want. I have heard it goes well with honey and/or lemon which I would agree with even though I usually just drink it plain. So good and a really good deal. My go-to tea!
Quite strong flavor that's definitely bold. A unique experience for less experienced tea drinkers.
I absolutely love this red tea! Great as an iced tea, too!
Just a great basic flavor that is smooth and satisfying. When I can't decide on a flavor, I reach for this.
Can't say whether this is a great rooibos tea, but for me it wasn't the best. The tea leaves were also so small that they went through my tea infuser.
I had never tried rooibos before and unfortunately this one did not work for me. I greatly prefer the green rooibos bonita over this variant.
First time trying rooibos (outside of a blend, though I couldn't taste it well then), and overall I enjoyed it. It's a very mild tea, in the sense that I can't really say that it tastes like anything specific, but that makes it great for times when I just want something plain, earthy, and soothing to help me wind down. This also means that it takes on flavor really well - for example, I tried a cup with a splash of vanilla and it was delicious - but it also can easily be overpowered, so be careful. I'm excited to try other varieties of rooibos when I finish this sample, though, and I can see myself buying this again later on.
A nice rooibos. Not as much fun as my new favorite rooibos vanilla chai tea, but a pleasant change of pace for those quiet days when you just need a cuppa.
The flavor was good, but the pieces were too small so they mostly leaked out of my infuser!
