A nice orange aroma came to life when I opened the packet. The taste was a mild orange tang that resteeped well. A nice end to a long day.

The orange really shines bright. Adding milk gives it a nice earthy creamsicle vibe.

I am not the biggest fan of rooibos on its own, I don't like its dry quality, but mixed with orange it is really nice! It has a sweet juicy taste that is not too fake and candy like. Reminds a bit of Sunny D but tea and not the heartburn that usually accompanies orange juice.

Strong aroma from the Rooibos of which I am not overly fond. I do enjoy quite a few Rooibos teas so I was still hopeful about this tea. However I didn’t taste any orange. I recognized nothing in my packet other than Rooibos and I could not detect any orange flavor. It is a good Rooibos tea but I was expecting more.

It’s very juicy orange, as described. The orange flavor is best and most present when the tea is hot. Rooibos takes over when it cools.

I really really really hate rooibos, so this tea was doomed from the start for me sadly. Though I am SURE its a lovely tea if you like rooibos <3

Nice balance of rooibos and orange flavor, with a refreshing and pleasant taste. Orange flavors were a bit more forward as the cup cooled. Very nice tea overall.

This is a nice and orange-y tea caffeine free tea. Although I'm not a huge fan of rooibos in general, I actually like this better than the decaf orange (which has less orange flavor than this) and blood orange (which is a little on the acidic/tart side thanks to the hibiscus). I will be using this for my evening orange teas from now on.

Nice when I want a rooibos with just a touch of citrus. The orange stays sweet and quiet and works well with the rooibos flavor.

Really lovely orange and citrus flavor that went wonderfully with the rooibos's sweetness. This will become one of the permanent additions to my rotations of decaf teas on hand.

A pleasant, citrusy cup! WIth milk and sugar, this tastes very much like an orange creamsicle. @adagioteas

i don't think rooibos is my jam. had a medicinal aromoa to it. Taste and mouth feel was a basic boring bland orange water.

Live Adagio rooibos flavored teas. The orange is just the right amount for a change of pace.

I like this rooibos blended with the herbal blood orange tea.

★★★★☆

Loose tea smells very strongly of orange, like orange zest but also a hint of a creme smell too.

It was good cold. Definitely a fan of rooibos tea. Be careful how long you brew it because it can get bitter

Two of my favorites in one cup. I love this one. A real winner! @adagioteas

I adore the orange rooibos with the nice burst of smooth citrus stimulating my tastebuds.. I use 1 and a half tsp of honey to bring out all the orange flavor as possible. @adagioteas

I love mixing this tea with other black flavored tea. I have a black tea with orange snd honey flavor. This goes wonderful in a mix.

The orange flavours come through nicely, though not as sharp as the Blood Orange. In addition, there's a nutty, woody flavour to it. A good orange-flavoured tea.

Loved it! I initially ordered this tea as a replacement for a rooibos orange from another brand that was out of stock and ended up being pleasantly surprised with the quality of this tea. Highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite evening teas. Sweet, mild orange flavor.

Orange flavor not as strong as I expected, but the aroma is quite nice. As always, the base rooibos Adagio uses is quite good.

Technically orange flavored, but not a kind of orange I like. Did not even smell good.

will buy this again but a larger quantity next time.. I brewed the entire sample package so that I could have several glasses at one brewing.

This smells amazing when you open the bag. Once brewed, the orange flavor gets stronger as the tea cools, so I suspect this would make an excellent iced tea.

Today's packet smelled gave off a mild orange aroma. Steeping with the black tea button on the VelociTEA maker worked easily to steep for 5 mins at 212ºF. The resulting rooibos tisane was a nice deep shade of reddish orange.

When piping hot, the orange aromas wafted up alongside the steam. The first sip was definitely the most orange flavored one, yet it was still pretty strong with the rooibos woodiness. (How wonderful that it's woody and not tinny at all... 🦶😜) The rooibos was earthy and seemed actually a bit more enhanced by the zesty orange flavors. As the tea cooled, the rooibos took center stage and orange seemed nowhere to be found.

To test out the suggestion that others had about adding sweetener, I tried a few options. First, I added some plain rock sugar to see if it would enhance the orange flavor components. The rock sugar dialed back the woody rooibos flavor just enough so the orange could peek forward more, though not as much as I'd originally hoped. The sweetness of the rock sugar gave a neutral lift to the orange, just close enough to a fresh sweet piece of orange, if the woody rooibos hadn't interjected in the mix. With the last half of this cup, I added some half & half cream to test out the 'orange creamsicle' experiment that others had tried. With just enough cream and the right amount of rock sugar, it came relatively close. The woody rooibos had to be tamed down with a bit more sweetener to get it closer to the desired effect. It came close, but not exactly like a creamsicle. However, I remembered that I wanted to drink an herbal tea not a melted orange creamsicle with all it's extra calories and sugar. So, the experiment was a decent success in my opinion and for my level of expectations.

Next, I tried some amber mountain forest honey. This sweetener brought out the orange again, but added more of it's own floral bee pollen flavor. Perhaps it's like an orange flower? Again, the woody rooibos was tamed down enough, but already the flavor seemed to stray far away from orange creamsicle territory. Sure enough, after adding some cream it wasn't at all like a creamsicle. However, the cream did pair well with the honey and orange rooibos to bring out some vanilla notes alongside the now flowery orange tastes.

The third sweetener I tested was agave nectar. This time there was a nice balance with the rooibos as before, yet bringing out more nutty flavors alongside the orange. The sweetness was different than a true orange slice, and leaned more towards a darker demerara sugar or almost maple syrup-like quality, mixed with a hint of orange and the now nutty rooibos (Although 'nutty' is a tinny word, the flavor is quite good actually). Adding cream to the agave sweetened cup gave an interesting creamy sweet result, but still not enough orange to bring it close to an orange creamsicle. This one had the the sweetness and cream part just right, with a thick mouthfeel just like the melted vanilla ice cream, however no tangy orange to be found.

Next, I tried the 'PureVia' stevia based sweetener which I added about an eighth of a packet to a half cup of the tisane. This time, the sweetness level was off the charts! I had to add a bit more of the rooibos orange liquid to tame down that sweetness so I could taste anything but the stevia. This time the vanilla notes and nuttiness of the rooibos were enhanced again, but it was still cloyingly sweet. Orange was still hiding behind the woody and nutty rooibos. Not enough natural fruit sweetness to give the illusion of a fresh orange slice, just the stevia sweetness. Adding cream made this one strangely close to the type of frozen ice & diluted sugar flavor that you get from a popsicle. However, the orange was still hiding too far behind rooibos flavors, so not close enough to an orange creamsicle other than the diluted frozen ice & sweetness aspect.

Finally, I tried maple syrup. This one I didn't expect to come close to creamsicle flavor, but instead it might impart some interesting flavors like the agave nectar did. Sure enough, the maple sweetened the tisane enough to balance the rooibos' earthy and woody notes, and imparted a maple candy like quality. The orange was a bit enhanced, but not as noticeable as the maple and nutty rooibos. This one was almost like drinking a maple pecan tea of some kind. Adding some cream made it taste like a maple pecan ice cream pretty closely. Still nowhere close to orange creamsicle, but actually quite good in it's own way.

Overall, this tisane was a pleasant surprise and the rooibos forward flavor lent itself well to the sweetener experiments, producing some surprising yet enjoyable results. I didn't have enough rooibos tisane liquid left to do any experiments with ALL the milks & creamers ('For the love of God... We have enough milks now!' 😜)

For a Rooibos Orange herbal tea, the orange wasn't nearly as present in the blend, and depending on the sweetener and temperature it completely disappeared behind other rooibos flavor components. As a plain tisane, it wasn't really anything to write home about so I'm giving it an OK rating simply on the pure Rooibos Orange blend label. However, don't let this stop you from trying all the sweeteners (... and ALL the milks!) It's quite enjoyable with the agave nectar and maple syrup, and the cream does some interesting things to it. As a plain tisane, if you like woody rooibos with a hint of something else, this one's for you. If you instead prefer ('tinny'?) teas and tisanes without a hint of woodiness, then make like a caribou and make yourself 'gorn' (gallop away from the croquet hoops?).

This is very rooibos forward with orange on the tail-end. For me, rooibos tastes faintly caramel-like, so with a little sugar and/or milk, this takes on a creamsicle-caramel flavor. Very dessert-y.

Honestly it's not terrible and the orange accents the rooibos quite well. I'm not a huge rooibos fan and don't enjoy this one very much but I can see others liking it.

Smells like orange. The liquid brews up orange. Tastes like...rooibos. The orange flavor is subtle, but it's there if you get past the woodsy, cough syrupy taste. Full disclosure: I am not a red rooibos fan so my review is a bit biased. I cold brewed this (3oz tea/10oz water/10 hours) and I have noticed that this method does tone down the typical rooibos flavor a smidge, to the point where it becomes palatable. Following the suggestions of some of my fellow communitea members, I sweetened it with simple syrup and added milk. That further negates the rooibos taste and brings out the orange a little more. It's still not overwhelmingly orange, though, and if I didn't know what flavor it was I don't think I would have been able to guess. It's a pleasant enough cup on its own, but if you're looking at this for a blend, I might caution you to pick something else. I feel that the orange flavor would only get more lost among other teas and ingredients.

It tastes almost medicinal, a bitter flavor that's herbal and permeating. The orange is nice and subtle, a very wonderful scent, but the tea overall is not to my personal liking.

Maybe I put too much sugar in, but this is a lovely, subtle but sweet cup. The orange is light and citrusy, and the rooibos leaves me with a warm cozy feeling. Definitely ordering more of this!

If you like rooibos tea and orange, then you're likely to enjoy this blend. The smell of orange is quite strong when you open up the package, but the flavor upon brewing isn't quite as strong as the smell. I personally thought that the orange blended with the rooibos flavor quite well, and that I was able to taste both of them throughout. I brewed mine at 212 for 10 minutes, which is what I usually do with rooibos tea. I drank most of the cup while it was still hot. It was still good as it was cooling, but I didn't get to cool or cold before I was finished.

Rooibos usually has to be on the spot for me to really enjoy it, and this one qualifies. I actually really enjoyed the sourness of the orange. I drank this hot which was good, but would expect it to be good cold brewed too.

The smell of this tea is dominated by orange at first, but the taste of orange is very light. You have to like rooibos for this one. The rooibos ends up being the main flavor, with a hint of orange. It reminds me of orange blossoms, actually. I bet this would be good in a blend, or cold.

It might just be me, but I think I've fallen into the 'not a fan of rooibos' camp. The sampler of rooibos orange from the June '21 community gave me a medicinal and slightly metallic flavor... the woody, earthy rooibos was a quality one, but the orange blend just accented how much I don't like rooibos. I don't think herbals 'work' for me as much as traditional teas. To each his own!

Pleasant orange smells coming from the communiTEA packet as I slice it open today. I am slightly disappointed though that the orange smell does not carry over to the taste. Moderate to strong flavors of woody rooibos overpowers the subtle flavor of the orange. Added honey to help coax out the orange and still could not find it. Tried it iced and added fresh orange slices and still the rooibos was in the front seat driving. Would be happy at this point if the orange could be a passenger instead of locked in the trunk. Decided to try a second steep so I could try it with cream. I forgot about it and it steeped 10 mins. The orange popped a little more this time. I added 2tsp of honey (more than usual) and a bit of cream. This helped tremendously. The orange had now taken the passenger seat and fastened his seat belt. I did get a creamsicle vibe from this cup which wasn’t bad at all. Feel like I had to work too hard to get this tea palatable though. This will probably not end up in my cabinet, but could drink it with a lot of honey and cream if it did. 1st steep 212º for 5 mins. 2nd steep 212º for >10mins.

This tea smelled pretty strongly of orange when I opened it. After steeping, this tea had strong taste of rooibos with some orange notes. I added some sugar and this tea suddenly tasted like ribbon candy. It had a spiced orange flavor. I can't say that I loved it, but it was okay.

Tried this one as part of CommuniTea. I am not a fan of red rooibos but that is not the tea's fault. Tried this one sun brewed. It has the usual, woodsy characteristics of rooibos which I felt overpowered the orange. Fellow CommuniTea members who like this style tea seemed to pick up more on the orange and suggested adding cream and sugar for a creamsicle experience.

Love rooibos, but not a big orange fan - particularly not as a flavoring. The orange in this was noticeable, but it didn’t taste artificial, which I appreciated. I expected this to taste like Tang and instead it was bright and refreshing! You can tell it’s a rooibos, which for me was a good thing!
