The earl grey and rooibos flavors play together much better than I originally expected. It is a little heavier on the rooibos than the bergamot of the earl grey, but that does not detract from the overall taste.

Rooibos Earl Grey is a delightful twist on a classic tea. It’s comforting, flavorful, and perfect for those looking for a caffeine-free alternative with a sophisticated edge.

The earl grey flavor is very nice, but I don't love the combination with the rooibos flavor.

This is one of my favorite Adagio teas. It is an excellent cup of decaf and the earl grey is just subtle enough to not be overpowering.

★★★★★

Amazingly flavorful & soothing. Great quality tea that I would buy on repeat.

My favorite tea on Adagio that I have tried so far. The flavor is just right. The smell is very strong when you open the pouch, but the flavor is mellow. I love that Adagio puts the blue cornflower petals in the tea, other brands don’t for their Rooibos Earl Grey.

★★★☆☆

Too much Grey, not enough rooibos for me unfortunately. Rooibos has grown on me, Earl Grey however has not. 😖

★★★★☆

Earl Gray is my go to tea, so being able to make this late at night and not working about being up all night was a huge selling point. This is a great option for a late night chai.

★★★★☆

The citrus flavor really overpowers the rooibos in this one. That's alright, because the Earl Grey flavor is great! The herbs are very pretty and colorful. This one tastes good hot or cold. If you love bergamot, this is a good tea for you.

I wasn't sure if I'd like bergamot in other tea's but it's become a new favorite. And I can drink it before bed without any worries.

Lovely staple to any inventory. I prefer it with a touch of added sweetener. I don’t reach for it weekly but it’s certainly 1-2 times a month.

Rooibos Earl Grey is a great herbal tea! First time to try it

I love bergamot and want to decrease my caffeine. This tea completes the picture for me. Rooibos' are a favorite as well. 2/6/24: Since writing the above, I have ordered more and this tea and the Rooibos Chaga Chai have caused palpitations of my heart. I am wondering if it was processed in a factory with soy as I am gluten sensitive?

It's great to be able to enjoy earl grey flavor without the caffeine

I like this tea. It’s not the same as black earl grey tea, but it’s reminiscent. It’s strong, so I use less tea per cup.

An uplifting spin on 2 different tastes. The Earl Grey pairs incredibly well with the rooibos, and each mellow the other out. A great alternative to early morning caffein when you still need your cup-o-grey but don't want to be wired.

**Tea Name: Rooibos Earl Grey**

**Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)**

---

**Aromatic Appeal:**

Rooibos Earl Grey opens with a unique blend of earthy rooibos and the classic citrusy scent of bergamot. The aroma is intriguing and pleasant, though not as strong as traditional Earl Grey.

**Flavor Profile:**

The flavor of this tea is a blend of sweet, earthy rooibos with the distinctive, slightly tangy notes of bergamot. While the combination is interesting, the bergamot flavor is somewhat muted, making the overall taste less vibrant than expected.

**Brewing Experience:**

Brewing Rooibos Earl Grey is simple and straightforward. A steeping time of 5-7 minutes at 212°F produces a deep red infusion. The aroma during brewing is pleasant but lacks the intensity typical of Earl Grey.

**Quality and Freshness:**

The quality of the tea is evident in the whole rooibos leaves and the natural bergamot oil used. The ingredients are fresh and well-preserved, contributing to a smooth and clean taste, though the bergamot could be more pronounced.

**Value for Money:**

Rooibos Earl Grey offers reasonable value for money. It’s a good choice for those who enjoy rooibos and want to try a variation with bergamot, but it might not fully satisfy traditional Earl Grey enthusiasts due to its milder flavor.

**Overall Experience:**

In summary, Rooibos Earl Grey from Adagio Teas is an interesting twist on the classic blend. Its unique combination of rooibos and bergamot provides a different tea experience. However, the muted bergamot flavor leaves it falling short of the boldness expected in an Earl Grey.

Recommended for those looking to explore new rooibos blends, but traditional Earl Grey lovers might find it lacking. Enjoy the unique twist of Rooibos Earl Grey!

I guess Earl grey is just too perfumery for me—bergamot is overpowering.

I have bought to date at least 6 or 7 bags of this tea. I love Earl Grey, but have to limit how much to drink because of caffeine, but with the Earl Grey Rooibos I get all the joy of traditional Earl Grey without the caffeine. This was recommended to me by a die hard Earl Grey drinker that also can’t have lot of caffeine.

Earl Grey is an absolute favorite of mine and this makes it okay for me to drink it without ruining my bedtime! Love this.

I think i still prefer black earl grey, but trying to get away from caffeine and this is a great alternative.

I don't like Bergamot. Rooibos is a mild tea compared to back teas and the bergamot is robust here. I can't drink it. I'll leave this one for the bergamot fans.

Interesting! I think this is definitely more of a 'rooibos with an interesting, citrusy flavor addition', rather than an Earl Grey that happens to not have caffeine. As a rooibos, I quite like it -- the bergamot makes an interesting counterpoint to the almost-medicinal herbiness of the rooibos, and if you like rooibos, I recommend this. If you are looking for a traditional Earl Grey that happens to be caffeine-free, this might not be the right beverage for you, as the rooibos is quite strong and gives it a very different flavor profile than black tea.

I really enjoyed this decaffeinated tea. Long day. This was refreshing with the citrusy flavour. Loved the color. Beautiful orange. I added honey. This will definitely be on my order list.

I normally like Earl Grey and Rooibus but unfortunately this mix ended smelling and tasting of soap or perfume. I would swear there is lavender but it must be the bergamot. I suppose I am just not a fan of Adagio's bergamot flavor in this one.

I am not an earl grey fan. I love the smell of bergamot as it steeps, but not the actual flavor, I couldn't do more than one sip. If you are a fan of grey's it may be worth a try, the bouquet from the package and as it steeped was quite nice, the strength of the bergamot along with the woodiness of the rooibos, and a hint of sweetness were lovely and filled my office with a bit of citrusy sunshine on an otherwise dreary day.

This blend looks and smells beautiful. However, I just can't drink it. Earls give me a headache. I think it is a great caffeine-free option. *communitea sample*

This probably would have gotten a 5 and I probably would have loved this tea, but earl grey teas have a soapy taste to me. The rooibus blended well with this tea and I had less of the soapy taste from this tea than I normally get from earl Grey's, but it was still there. I love the fact that it is decaf and different.

When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I was met with strong aromas of bergamot. I steeped the tea for 3 minutes. This tea has a strong earl grey flavor, but it is supported well by the rooibos base. It is smooth and has a nice hint of citrus. I really enjoy this version of earl grey!

CommuniTEA Sample: I'm not normally a bit fan of Rooibos or Earl Grey, but this combination works well together. The floral notes tame the woody notes of the Rooibos and it blends well with the citrus notes.

I gravitate to anything earl grey, and this one certainly has the necessary components of an earl, but it would not be my favorite earl that Adagio has to offer. This is by no means a bad tea, I like it. The rooibos and bergamot are not fighting each other, like some of the black earl teas tend to do. The citrus and woodsy profiles blend seamlessly, and it's a good caffeine alternative.

This is an absolutely delicious tea. I am a big earl grey fan but don’t always want to drink black tea at night. This is such a fabulous alternative to have in the evening since it’s caffeine free.

Tastes like oolong but the early grey doesn't seem to come through. I really appreciated the moonlight earl gay and was hoping for a decaffeinated tea with similar flavor and was disappointed.
