I love this tea. I love earl grey black tea, but when I try to avoid drinking ten cups of black tea a day, I reach for this buddy. Tastes just like earl grey to me, but a bit lighter and much easier on the body to have in mass quantities. It smells really strong in the bag, almost too strong like perfume straight up your nostrils, but when you brew this baby, he mellows out. Gorgeous tea!

It has a unique but pleasant taste with a hint of Earl Grey.
I have a 20 oz cast iron tetsubin and used 2 measured teaspoons of leaves with boiling water then placed it over a tealight candle warmer.
Was piping hot through the entire pot and enjoyed every bit of it.

There is a strange caramel like flavor that shouldn't be in an earl grey mixture

Absolutely delicious! I thought I'd never have earl grey again, giving up caffeine. This tea brings the flavors of a classic earl grey, and the smoothness of rooibos. Definitely a pantry permanent!

I love rooibos tea, so take that into consideration :) I love this tea. My favorite tea is Earl Grey so I am so happy to have this tea for night time, it puts me to sleep and rooibos helps with my headaches and migraines. Love! Still LOVE!

Has a warm, full-bodied flavor. Smell is closer to real Earl Grey than the flavor, but it is still really great. The bergamont tames the bitterness of the Rooibis. Highly recommend!

The bergamot wasn't an appealing combination with the Rooibos. A deeper, mellow flavor would be preferred with the red tea.
★★★★☆
I little more citrusy than the regular earl grey. It is smoother.

Tastes very strange. I can't put my finger on it but it tasted pretty awful
★★★☆☆
Perfect if you want a lighter flavor than a regular Earl Gray and less caffeination too

I am a big fan of regular earl grey tea but I'm a nighttime tea drinker and as such I need a caffeine free or decaf tea to drink and this is a great compromise between the Earl Grey and a caffeine free tea. While not a strong this is a softer version of Earl Grey and just a great night time tea for fans of Earl Grey
★★☆☆☆
I was expecting a less sweet tea, maybe with some softer notes of rooibos and ear grey. Instead, it was saccharine. I definitely didn't enjoy it much. I typically like stronger black teas.
★★★☆☆
Takes a little getting used to as it's not quite like the black tea earl grey.
★★★★☆
Bought this for a friend. Not sure how it tastes, but liked the description.
★★★★☆
This tea is good, but not as good as the lavender earl grey.
★★★★☆
Simply put, this is a delicious combination of rooibos and earl grey teas. It's the best of both worlds!
★★★★★
the earl grey flavoring is intense!! A nice alternative for a non-caffeinated yet strong tea
★★★☆☆
I'm finding I'm not a fan of rooibos tea. Has the earl grey taste but it's a little strong for me. I like the flavor combined with a black tea.
★★★★★
Lovely tea! I was searching for a caffeine free tea that was 'safe' to drink while pregnant. This Bergamont flavored tea really hit the spot! Hot or Iced it was great! Wonderful citrus aroma and flavor.
★★★★★
I love this one so much! I gave up black and green teas for religious reasons, and I've missed Earl Grey so much- but this is an incredibly good herbal version of it! Very earthy, refreshing, almost a hint of mint- I really love this!

Incredible earl grey flavor and rooibos decaf! I never appreciated the taste of earl grey tea before having this great variety.
★★★★★
I can drink this all day. I love this tea and I will be ordering it all year 'round. There is something about the citrus/earl grey combo I enjoy.
★★★★★
Love Ear Grays, rich color to this make it a standout.

This tea is brilliant. Rather than simply dumping Earl Grey flavoring onto Rooibos, the Adagio folks figured out that it tastes even better with a little orange rind and blue flower petals. Delicious, and pretty too! Excellent hot, or as a pitcher of iced tea -- so satisfying with nonfat milk in cold tea that it's helping me lose weight because it's rich enough to relieve hunger.
★★★☆☆
Not my favorite. Definitely smells wonderful, but the taste is a bit off in my opinion. It has a bit of a medicinal taste. I did use sugar in mine which tends to bring out the flavors of the tea more. I'll try my next pot without the sugar and see if that improves it.

A lot smoother than the black earl grey, naturally. Great alternative to the caffeinated teas.

I don't particularly care for rooibos but received this as a free sample. I think bergamot blends much better with black tea.
★★★★☆
I think I prefer a black tea-based earl grey, but this was a surprisingly nice and light alternative.

Iam not a lover of rooibos or earl grey. I love to experience all adagio tea flavors. I Just give it ok, because the earl grey took over from the rooibos. For a tea party, I would use this tea for my guest.

Maybe I just don't like rooibos teas but this tasted like straw .

I just don't like Earl Grey. I had hoped that a rooibos version would make a difference (rooibos is my favorite type of tea), but it didn't. I'm sorry. it just isn't my thing.

I didn't expect this flavor combination to work, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Rooibos is like sunshine in a cup and EG is an old favorite, so the combo puts this at the top of my list!

I'm not an Earl Grey lover/purist, but I found this tea to be good. After only drinking rooibos/honeybush/herbal for the last year, it was a bit of a nostalgia trip back to before I got into loose leaf tea. I've never had any of Adagio's other Earl Greys, so I can't compare to those, but I will say that this is very sharply different from all the other Rooibos flavors Adagio offers. To me, it tasted like a fairly classic Earl Grey.

This is one of my new favorite teas! I am a rooibos fan in general. This was the perfect cup of tea. I was definitely able to pick up the orange flavors. It smells fabulous upon opening the bag as well as during and after brewing. I'll be buying this in the full size bag soon!

You can drink this any time of day! It's beautiful. I have this tea displayed in a glass container
★★★★☆
This earl grey really works for making earl grey iced tea, because you can steep it for a long time and make a nice concentrate.
★★★★☆
nice balance of both earl grey and rooibos, but I think the are better rooibos
★★☆☆☆
I used to love this tea. The slight smokiness of rooibos matched with the wonderful flavor of bergamot. I don't know what happened with last order but it's awful. It tastes strongly of maple, of all things, with a herbal finish on the tongue. Not a hint of bergamot or orange peel to be found by taste. Dry - it smells just like the old tea. Brewed, it's a disgusting maple/herb mess. Very disappointed.

It's not awful, but the flavor doesn't impress me. Just not something I enjoy drinking.
★★★★★
Great tea. Nice to drink during the day with some sweets or fruits.
★★★★☆
What it says on the tin. It is just like the black tea version, but without caffeine. I had hoped that the flavor of rooibos would come out, but the earl grey part is by far the dominant flavor. It also has a really strong smell of earl grey when you open the bag.
★★★★★
I got this originally because my roommate loves the smell of earl grey but can't handle caffeine. Unfortunately, I may end up finishing this all off myself. The bergamot and naturally sweet/spicy flavor of the rooibos really highlight each other. Great without milk or sugar but I might try steeping it in milk next time.
★★★★☆
I've been kind of overkilled on rooibos recently, but this Earl red was exactly as advertised - Earl Grey but instead of ceylon it was rooibos. Definitely a nice change from the usual cuppa.
★★★★★
I'm not sure Earl Grey is really Earl Grey without the black tea. I understand the concept: all of the flavors that are added to black tea to make Earl Grey, are here as well, but...it just isn't Earl Grey to me. Tasty, but they should rename it.
Updated 2-Apr-14, upgraded from good to great. The more I drink it the more I'm enjoying it. Just ordered another 3oz. Still, needs a different name because it's so different from classical Earl Grey--

Great Earl Grey taste but without the caffeine or any root harshness.

This is now my favorite blend of Rooibos. The balance between the Earl Grey and the Rooibos flavor is perfect! I can drink this at night when I desperately need my Earl Grey.:)

Nice tea with a mild floral quality to it. The rooibos flavor overpowers every thing else. Not a horrible tea, but I'll stick to the black earl grey teas.
