Rooibos Cocomint Customer Reviews

Two classic flavors blended with sweet and mellow organic Rooibos herb. Very like chocolate peppermint bark candy.

extremely pleasant! the rooibos flavor was not as strong as i expected. didn’t get much chocolate flavor at first, but adding some sweetener helped with that

I'm not a huge fan of peppermint or rooibos teas, but if that's your thing, then you'll probably like it

I found that the mint flavor in this tea nicely covered the red rooibos taste, which I am not fond of. The chocolate flavor was there but could have been stronger for my taste. I steeped at 212 degrees for 5 minutes and added sweetener.

This tastes like a chocolate mint candy. Nice with a little honey. Beautiful dark auburn color. Nice dessert tea.

I was pleasantly surprised by this blend as I don't really like anything with mint, so I was worried about the peppermint. For those with similar tastes, this is actually a good drink - whilst the peppermint is definitely there, it isn't overwhelming or the defining taste. It's more of a foundational taste - supporting the chocolate. Both the roiboos and chocolate are light, but it's a nice lightness.

Good cold or hot brewed. It is chocolate and mint flavored what's not to love plus no caffeine. Flavor profile cover rooibos so anyone can enjoy!

What a fun experience! I love mint and chocolate together- so fresh yet decadent. This tea feels great… warm going into the belly while leaving a cool aftereffect. I would sip it again and share it with friends.

I really like this one. Usually I don't overly care much for mint as I find it overpowering in a lot of blends but this taste like an Andes mint if you add just a smidge of sweetener.
212 for 5 minutes, tiny bit of Splenda

This tea was ok. There was a bit of an aftertaste.

UPDATED 9-24-22: Today's CommuniTEA is Rooibos Cocomint. Today, I made it slightly different by adding cocoa nibs and chocolate honey. It was DELICIOUS! This is definitely a great tea and I would highly recommend it!

ORIGINAL: I brewed my Rooibos Cocomint hot with some cocoa nibs and rock sugar. It was only slightly minty, but very good! I would highly recommend this tea!

Chocolate and mint are an obvious combination, and this tea puts them in perfect harmony. The mint is not too overwhelming and you can definitely get the chocolate notes. The rooibos flavor blends nicely, too, so you can still tell you're drinking tea. I'm definitely getting more of this.

A red rooibos magickal joy! Probably my fav one of the red rooibos realm. I wouldn't need to run to put this in my stash, right away per se...but..perhaps the mood shall stike, sometime to add this for a rooibie caffiene-free treat!

I typically don't like red rooibos, so I was prepared to hate this, but it was surprisingly nice! When brewed according to the instructions, it smelled but didn't taste medicinal. I didn't get much chocolate, but loved the mint - not too overpowering. A soothing and easy on the stomach tea that (I'm shocked to say) I would definitely drink again!

Recommended steeped; 5 minutes at 212°F. I steeped for the recommended at the recommended time at 200°F, to stave off potential bitterness from the cocoa nibs, in 11oz of water with 1.5 tsp of tea/rock sugar.

Upon opening the unmistakable aroma of rooibos rose from the packet, with a very faint underpinning of mint. All ingredients appeared to be present as far as I could tell. At first hot sip, all I tasted was the rooibos, with maybe a very faint hint of the mint. No chocolate flavor was noted at this time. As the blend continued to cool, more of a minty flavor made itself now with perhaps a hint of chocolate. The chocolate comes out more, the more the tea cools and blends well with the mint and the rooibos, although the rooibos does hold a bit of an upper hand. All in all an enjoyable sip that I would not mind having again. 4.5 stars from me.

Cocoa felt lonely...
Oh so lonesome he could cry
He wanted some friends

He went to the park
Rooibos and Mint were both there
They became best friends!

They hang out often
And can be seen everywhere
Having a great time!

I didn’t mind it but I didn’t hate it either. The rooibos was very prominent and could have done with more of the cocoa/mint combo.

I like the cocoa nibs. Unfortunately, they are overshadowed by the rooibos.

Honestly I tried but two of my least favorite flavors in the word are red rooibos and mint. If you would have thrown in cauliflower in this tea, you would have hit all three. I appreciate there are many that would love this but if ever there was a tea not meant for me, this is it. Sorry.

This tea smells wonderful. Unfortunately I am unable to drink rooibos.

UPDATED from 9/28/2: The ingredients smell like mint and chocolate, and it steeps into a bright, clear reddish amber. Yummy seems like an understatement for this tea. Honestly, it is DIVINE! It is delicious hot or cold. My mouth was tricked into thinking I had just eaten Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream (or, as others have suggested, a York Peppermint Patty)- yet NO calories. This tea is wonderful just as it is, plain. Adding 1/4 teaspoon of sweetener to 10 oz of tea, makes it even more delicious (I love dark chocolate, though). I add a dribble of heavy whipping cream and this is now a great dessert tea. Honestly, this is such a lovely, CAFFEINE FREE cup of tea! Best part is you can drink it anytime. I am happy I bought a large bag of this, as it is my “go to” tea whenever I am not sure what to drink. Also, rooibos is forgiving if you over steep it. (5 mins @ 212ºF).

Loved the chocolate flavor of this tea. However I didn’t taste any mint. Maybe that was just my packet though. Even without the mint it is a very good.

Really does make me think of a York Peppermint Patty in the best possible way. Such a good cool undertone from the mint, but not overpowering the chocolate flavor. So smooth and satisfying.

Ever so slightly artificial in taste, but very reminiscent of an after dinner chocolate mint. The flavor shows up more clearly against the rooibos versus a black tea.

★★★★★

This one was pretty good. Rooibos does well with cocomint.

VERY comparable to the teavanna chocolate peppermint that I was obsessed with! I just wish it had the chunky pieces in it

★★★☆☆

I wish both the coconut and the mint were stronger in this -- you do get some hints of both, but only just enough to make you unsatisfied.

★★★☆☆

I want to like this tea but the peppermint is just too strong. I think putting both peppermint flavoring and peppermint leaves was overkill as the smell is like minty-chemicals.

I love this tea! Just the right amount of mint, tastes like a delicious candy treat. I love to blend it with Cream tea. It’s my favorite way to relax at the end of a winter day!

I'm a little bummed about this one. There really isn't much chocolate flavor, if any, &the mint is like a toothpaste-y mint.

I don't like this blend. I don't get any chocolate flavors, just a very medicinal mint. It reminds me of mint cough syrup.

This is my household's favorite tea. It's sweet and earthy and perfect for winter nights.

★★★★★

Unexpectedly, the redness of the rooibos is a clean enough palette for the chocolate-mint, and nothing clashes. Flavorful without being too sweet.

★★★★★

I loved this tea. Reminded me a little of York Peppermint patties! It was like drinking a dessert but healthier! So Yummy!

★★★★★

This fullfils my need for something sweet before bed as I watch TV or read. Perfect with a gingerbread
cookie. It has know become my go-to evening tea.

★★★★★

This was the lightest of the teas that I bought samples of. It was very smooth.

★★★★★

So good. You can taste both the chocolate and the mint in a way that's balanced and very smooth. I add some maple and almond milk and it's an amazing way to start my day!

★★★★★

Great smell and flavor, I like to brew it half strength, one full tsp. is a little too strong. See if you can pick up some cocoa nibs from the Pantry section - I like to add more to the bag for more chocolate flavor. Or you could dice up a melting chocolate wafer and throw it into the cup. Doesn't need milk or sweetner when it's half-strength, could need it at full strength.

This tea doesn't have the same peppermint chocolate hit of the OG White Chocolate Peppermint from Tea Ana, but it's not a bad tea. It's just kind of bland in my opinion. I'm not super impressed with it. I'm used to a more peppermint warmth in my stomach and this tea is completely lost when sugar or cream is added to it. I've adjusted brew times and just can't seem to coax more flavor out. Even the bags being left in the cup didn't help. Not a bad tea, just not what I was looking for.
