Rooibos Cocomint Customer Reviews

Two classic flavors blended with sweet and mellow organic Rooibos herb. Very like chocolate peppermint bark candy.

Chocolatey teas are my weakness. This is a perfect non caffeinated tea when I need something late at night!

I have tried several chocolate mint flavored teas and this one stands out as one of the best. The flavors are strong, but not overpowering. Highly recommend!

Wow this one smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream. Absolutely delicious.

Absolutely adore this tea. It’s become my morning drink of choice. After I reduced my caffeine intake I had to find new teas for day to day. And this one just does it for me.

Chocolate mint is one of my favorite flavors so I knew I was going to love this tea. It is delicious with a bit of honey and cream added.

★★★★☆

I am not sure about this combo. It sounded good but both the smell and taste are not that satisfying, the taste is kind of strange.

★★★★★

This is a lovely way to end a day! The mint is very smooth and doesn't overpower the chocolate, and you still get a hint of the rooibos under, which I personally really enjoy.

★★★★☆

Again, bought for my daughter. She is a huge fan of chocolate and mint, her mother is not! :)
But she has been enjoying it.

This dry tisane has a delicious chocolate mint aroma. I could smell the packet all day. 5 min @ 212. It became mostly a minty rooibos smell. When sipped hot, it's more minty with a slight chocolate taste that goes well with the rooibos. It could use some more chocolate flavor to balance the mint. It became even more enjoyable as it cooled. A very pleasant blend that wasn't overwhelmingly minty. Poured this over ice and drank a half gallon, wonderfully delicious cold. Upgrade to 5 ⭐

This is a terrific indulgent evening tea! I'm a sugar fiend so I put a little sugar in it, but it's fantastic without too. It tastes like peppermint hot chocolate without that heavy feeling you get when you drink hot chocolate.

A very nice Rooibos with a lovely light Cocoa flavor and a hint of mint. A nice to sip on and enjoy.

Have you ever tried Fanny May Mint Meltaways? Well, this blend is just like them. Smooth, full of dark chocolate perfection and minty. The smell of coco-mint was delicious from opening my communiTEA to the last sip. Simply a wonderful blend.

I think this is one of the first “flavored” teas I tried from Adagio, some 10 years ago after mostly having plain black, green and white teas. I had just tried rooibos on its own and then a sample tin of this showed up and blew my mind. Sampling with CommuniTea all these years later (Sep 2021) and I still love the Thin Mint vibes and the way a cup of tea can transport us across time and space to revisit past memories, scents and flavors, and even help us process loss and heal old wounds. Magic in a cup.

Dry - this smelled like a peppermint patty, I could see the mint mixed with the rooibos. I expected to hate this tea, but it was ok. I brewed for about 10 minutes.

Its called cocomint but it's more mint and vanilla to me. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA September box.
Update be warned strong red rooibos flavor.(2023)

Full disclosure, I'm not a big fan of rooibos. The rooibos taste overpowers the chocolate. You can taste the mint, but it's not very strong.

Oh huh! Was not expecting to like this one as much as I did. Tastes enough like chocolate to offset the mint and enough like mint to really bring out the chocolate. Nice!

A tasty dessert tea that is good by itself or as a tea late.

I am absolutely not a chocomint person, and i'm not too huge on rooibos either. i imagine if you like these things, you'll like this, though!

Very pleasant; a classic flavor combo served best w a dash of milk and sugar

This is a nice combination of chocolate and mint. The chocolate isn't as strong as in some teas so it doesn't overwhelm the mint. The rooibos makes a good background tea letting the mint and chocolate flavors come through rather than pushing itself forward as a black tea will.

This tea smells exactly like you'd expect it to - Andes Mints! The flavour is more subtle than the aroma, which I think is a good thing. It was also a little weird at first to drink a chocolate mint tea that was red, but hey, it's tasty so you'll get over that pretty quick. Rooibos made a nice base for this blend since it's not an overpowering tea to begin with.

Absolutely love this one. I tend to be a rooibos fan anyway, but the rooibos flavor of this one just goes so well with the chocolate and mint flavor. Steeped to a beautiful color, it smells like an Andes mint layered on top of the nice scent of rooibos. A perfect dessert tea :)

I love rooibos teas but was hesitant over chocolate and mint - no hesitation was needed. Minty smell upon opening packet but that subsided with steeping. Was able to get a second steep as well. 212 3.5 min first, 212 6 min second

cough syrup or jagermeister-ish notes - couldn't do it.

★★★★★

Delicious! This rooibos was blended so well with mint and cocoa flavors that I hardly recognized it as a rooibos. Mint chocolate chip ice cream essence in a tea :)

I can usually do OK with rooibos, I sort of like its flavor, however, this one tasted like Pepto Bismol

Delicious tea! There are notes of mint and just enough chocolate to taste like candy. I brewed with extra water to lighten the mint flavor and taste more of the chocolate.

This has a profile very similar to the 'mint to be' tea, striking chocolate and mint flavors blended with smooth rooibos

I wasn’t much of a rooibos fan until I got a sample of this bad boy. I love the flavor, it’s fresh and healthy but also full bodied. I will definitely keep this one on tap.

I agree with the other reviews describing it as closest to a Thin Mint cookie or York Peppermint Patty candy, no sweetener needed; the chocolate is definitely dominant, at least in my first cup I just finished. I keep finding that Adagio's chocolate flavor/additions are a bit too dark for me by themselves, but when blended with other distinct flavors like cinnamon, strawberry, cherry, or this tea's mint it sort of takes the edge off the chocolate flavor and becomes something I like much better. An excellent dessert replacement, I'll definitely be coming back for this one when I finish the big bag of caramel rooibos in my kitchen!

This is now my favorite herbal tea from Adagio. It is delicious. I agree with other reviews who write that it reminds them of a peppermint patty.

★★★★★

I wanted a replacement for the Teavana White Chocolate Peppermint, and I got one. It's not the exact same, but it's pretty darn close. And even without the comparison, it's still a great tea. The chocolate and mint pair very well together. Highly recommend.

★★★★★

Great chocolate mint flavor. My 4-year-old daughter loves this caffeine-free option, and I like it too before bed.

★★★☆☆

The rooibos flavor is very strong. I am not adverse to it, but I was hoping for more mint. Good for when I really feel like rooibos.

★★★★★

This is such a decadent dessert tea! The natural sweetness of the rooibos pairs beautifully with the chocolate and mint combination. Perfect end of the day treat!

I love this tea so much I ordered a big bag. The chocolate and mint smell amazing when you open the bag, and taste just as amazing in the cup. I add a splash of oatmilk to elevate the flavor.

Are you wondering what brought me to this tea? Even if you weren't I am going to tell you. Through the CommuniTea I fell in love with Cocomint Green. So when I saw this I knew I had to try it since I loved the green tea version and I love rooibos tea. The verdict? This tea is even better then the Cocomint Green. This will be bought again.

A tasty, caffeine free treat for when you want dessert but know it’s too late for sweets. Highly enjoyed this tea

It smells like hot chocolate but tastes like a Girl Scout Thin Mint cookie! Warm and sweet--perfect for satisfying your cravings in the evening while dodging the more fattening desserts. I recommend adding a bit of sweetener, such as cocoa nibs or chocolate chips, to really bring out those accents in the tea; otherwise, the mint can be overly strong by comparison.

This tea tasted just like a Girl Scout thin mint cookie to me. The flavors blended well and I enjoyed that it was fewer calories than eating the full sleeve of cookies at once! (3,56 g at 212 for 5 minutes 14 oz).

CommuniTEA portion: Steeped at 212 for 5 minutes. My packet seemed to be prominently rooibos with only very subtle chocolate and mint. Would have preferred more! Still not a bad sip.

Giving 4 stars because its not the tea's fault that rooibos is a no go for me. Wish I could enjoy this, chocolate and mint go so well together!

I was expecting more from this tea so I was surprised to find that the only flavor I could identify was mint. I couldn’t taste any chocolate, and the red Rooibos taste that I love was MIA. At first the mint was a little strong for me but after letting it sit a couple of minutes, it was milder. This experience may have been only the effect of the fact that it’s a small packet and might not have gotten all the ingredients represented as planned. I brewed it at 195F for 3 minutes.
