★★★☆☆

Definitely not awful or undrinkable, but a bit of a letdown compared to other rooibos teas I've had. The caramel flavour is there but nowhere near as well-executed as the black tea version. I'll likely finish my sample, but I wouldn't recommend it personally.

Rich and smooth, great with a touch of cream . Nice after dinner cup.

★★★★★

Very nice, smooth tasting. And I’m not a big fan of rooibos!

★★★★★

I love to add this to my hot tea combinations in the fall and winter. It just adds so much extra flavor!

★★★★★

Fantastic! They kind of smell and taste like Caramel rice cakes. I absolutely adore this tea

★★★★☆

I like this tea, but it could have a bit more of a caramel taste to it.

★★★★★

Very round and good caramel tea! One of my favorites

★★★★☆

I like this one! It has a nice, smooth flavor, perfect for after dinner.

I've had this flavor from another merchant, and loved it. This was disappointing. The caramel was almost indecipherable.

I think this tea is very good! I did look up the benefits of rooibos and it can help you sleep so im happy im drinking this. I did add a little sugar in it because I really like sweet teas but it tastes like there could be no sugar in it and it will be good regardless.

This has a cozy caramel scent with a light caramel flavor. I prefer green rooibos over red, but this tea blends particularly well using 1 part rooibos caramel to 2 parts white ayurvedic chai, steeped at 212 for 5 minutes.

This is one of the least tasty teas I’ve had from adagio.

This tea is pretty good. I am usually wary of red rooibos since some can have a strong earthy taste that I am not fond of, but found that when I was in South Africa, their rooibos did not have any of that earthy taste, so I have become more adventurous at trying red rooibos teas from different places. This one did have a slight earthy taste, but it was not too strong. I added a bit of chocolate syrup and it made the tea taste incredible.

I really wanted to love this tea (especially since I am a huge fan of rooibos teas in general), but I just could not taste the caramel flavor. I tried brewing it with 1.5 teaspoons/cup as well, thinking the flavor might be stronger but it still just tasted like a slightly earthy rooibos tea. Not bad overall, but not caramel.

Pretty strong rooibos flavor. The caramel was subtle in this tea.

Rooibos with a hint of caramel flavor. It's a little ho-hum by itself, but plays so nice with a lot of other teas, particularly the honeybush chocolate and vanilla and even the decaf cin creme.

★★★★☆

Great rooibos flavor. Strong caramel scent of of the package, but didn't translate to the cup.

★★★★★

So delicious and Carmel tasted is great! Gives good anount of steeps!

Forgive the terse review as there’s not much to say: this is red rooibos with a faux caramel flavor. If you don’t like these components already the tea is probably not for you. I finished my CommuniTEA cup. It’s not bad, not great, just fine.

The blend of rooibos and caramel was very tasty. I love the red color too.

I like caramel, I don’t like rooibos. So the tea balances it out.

Rooibos isn’t my favorite, but it pairs well with the caramel!

I love red rooibos tea. Flavorings can be tricky but this one does not disappoint. I brewed at 212 F x 5 min and created a deep red-brown tea. I could have left it at that but I added 1/2 tsp of monk fruit sweetener and 1/2 tsp of Italian cream just to intensify the caramel flavor and to be decadent. It was delicious! This is perfect as a caffeine-free, low-cal night time dessert tea. This particular rooibos works well to mix with other flavored teas as well.

Not a rooibos fan in general but this is pretty good. Caramel flavor comes through nicely.

★★★★☆

I don't tend to like rooibos or Adagio's caramel flavor so I was happily surprised that I enjoyed this tea. Particularly good and dessert-y with a splash of oat milk creamer.

★★★★★

I was pretty sure I would mot like this tea. Caramel is not really a favorite of mine, when it comes to tea. I was so surprised when I loved it. Rooibos and caramel works really well together and produce a delicious cup of tea.

Lovely tea, nice caramel flavor! I may have added a bit too much sweetener personally. But overall a very nice cup.

I tried a sample of this through the CommuniTEA. I really can't stand rooibos at all, and this has no redeeming qualities. I wasn't able to get past the rancid rooibos flavor to taste any caramel. My kids seem to enjoy red tea, so I gave it to them!

My CommuniTea packet had the strong, familiar scent of rooibos about it - a little medicinal, a little woody. It steeped a beautiful red color. The caramel flavor came through stronger once it cooled a bit - warm and smooth, goes very well with the woody, sweet flavor of rooibos. I added sugar and milk.

The woodyness of the rooibos balances the sweetness of the caramel. The tea has a slightly buttery mouthfeel

★★★★★

Very good roobios. With this tea I feel like you can skip any added sugars it's mighty sweet on its own. Added a dot of vegan creamer to give it a more creamy texture. It was very indulgent tasting. Not an everyday tea but a delicious every once in a while treat.

I was initially excited for this tea because I tend to love flavored rooibos teas. This tea was just blah upon drinking though. I didn’t get a strong caramel taste as I would expect from the scent.

I'm giving this five stars because I did think it was very good, but I can't say it's my favorite way to enjoy rooibos tea. The caramel flavoring added a nice sweetness to the tea, but I found it came through more in aroma than actual taste. I've found other flavors to have more punch to them when paired with rooibos. Still, this is a fun option, great with a spot of sugar, and would probably make a passable version of a iced caramel latte in the summer.

I left this tea steeping for a full 10 minutes and the result is what I expected. It still tastes clearly like rooibos but the woody sawdust flavor is minimized by the caramel. A bit of honey smoothed out the flavor but took attention away from the caramel flavor too. I'm unsure if I like it more before or after adding honey. I would drink this one again, but it's not something I'd drink often.

I love all sorts of flavored rooibos teas, especially caramel! This is a great tea on its own and blended with other flavors. Today I added a pinch of salt, vanilla creamer, and monk fruit to the caramel rooibos. So delicious. Such a great dessert tea. The caramel was very strong once I added the salt. 200 for 5 minutes.

An Ode to Rooibos
Oh Rooibos, thou art a fickle complex blend. I’ve tried so hard to like you! Whether blended with fruit, or with spices, or with dessert-y flavors, your woody base notes just don’t bring pleasure to my heathen tastebuds. You try to win over the stubborn critics with your beautiful ruby red aura, but when you try to hide amongst your flavor cousin caramel, you almost manage to blend into the scenery. I sipped, I tasted, I sampled, but in the end I shared with someone who was sophisticated enough to appreciate you for the masterpiece you try to be. I’ve tried, really I have, but it’s just not going to happen. It’s not you...it’s me.

The caramel flavor comes through nicely in this tea blend, but the Rooibos flavor dominates. If Rooibos meets your sophisticated palate, then definitely give this caramel blend a try.

My past experience with rooibos has been with bigger blends. While this has the caramel flavoring added, it's probably the most 'raw' rooibos I've tried to date. It's really lovely. A good soothing afternoon or evening tea on a really cold and wet day. I like that this has a more traditional tea flavor versus a tisane for those nights I want something caffeine free, but am not feeling a fruit or floral taste. I wish I had a serving more to try a tip in the communiTEA chat and add a pinch of salt to bring out the caramel flavor!

This tea made me realize that I am not a fan of roobios on its own. While the caramel was well balanced the flavor was slightly off-putting.

This really just tasted like rooibos and synthetic caramel flavor, meeting my high expectations!

Full disclosure- I am not a red rooibos fan. I brewed this up as per the instructions and the cup is a lovely reddish/amber colour. I find that I taste mostly woody but with a slight hint of sweetness behind it. I have not enjoyed a lot of the fruity rooibos teas as I don't love the base that rooibos lends to a fruit type of tea. I found this to be a decent mix, and although I could not tell that the flavour was supposed to be caramel without reading the label, I did find it had a sweetness that was well suited to the rooibos base. It was only upon the addition of some honey, that I was able to discern the caramel itself, which was nice, but I usually take my teas straight.
Although I would not buy this for myself as it is not really my preferred taste, I can see that some people may enjoy the sweetness and caffeine free option it would offer as a nice evening tea.

Rooibos is almost always a hit or miss with me. It's got this distinct...medicine-y smell as it's brewing and I have to fight myself to get past it to appreciate the flavor. Rooibos is good IF it's buried in another blend but by itself, I just can't do it.

It wasn't terrible, but I couldn't really taste caramel, just the weirdness of rooibos.

I really like most red rooibos teas, and this one didn't disappoint. There was no bitterness and the addition of sweetener only enhanced the caramel taste. With no caffeine, it is a great alternative when you're craving a bit of late night sweetness.

I generally don't like the flavor of red rooibos at all, but I decided to give this one a try since it was in my CommuniTEA box. Without any cream or sugar it just tasted like straight rooibos, I couldn't get any caramel flavor from it. When I added some sugar the caramel came through and mellowed the rooibos flavor a bit. Adding milk helped it even further, bringing out more of the sweetness and toning down the rooibos flavor substantially.

Yum. Very tasty. Smooth. Buttery. This was very enjoyable 5 min 212F. Added a small amount of sweetener

My CommuniTEA packet smelled sweet, but I didn't notice a caramel flavor overall once I steeped my tea. The normally astringent rooibos was slightly mellowed by it, but was still the overwhelming flavor.

★★★★★

I used to think I did not like rooibos teas, but the CommuniTEA packs set me straight. This rooibos has a subtle caramel flavor that pairs perfectly with the woodiness of the rooibos. I'm definitely a rooibos convert.

The dry tea definitely smelled woody, but the taste wasn't too woody after steeping. The caramel flavor complemented the rooibos perfectly.

Today's CommuniTEA packet smelled of caramel. Brewed as an herbal tea for 7 minutes at 212ºF created a rich auburn rooibos tisane.

The flavor is just like it smelled, caramel richness with hints of vanilla and the woody almost nutty rooibos. A great little afternoon sip to go with treats!

This tea was nice, I think I'm just over rooibos. It had a simple, sweet, caramel flavor.
