I don’t care for almonds, so this wasn’t a hit for me. Personal preference!
Savory almond with the bright, sweet taste of Rooibos herb. Smooth and almost marzipan sweet, soft finish.

I don’t care for almonds, so this wasn’t a hit for me. Personal preference!
I just can’t do red rooibos. This is a personal preference on taste, nothing against the quality of the tea. I feel like the aroma dry was ok but once the water hit it the medicinal red rooibos took over everything. I definitely prefer the oolong almond.
I cold brewed. The almond flavoring blended well with the syrupy flavor of the rooibos. I added some rocks and it was like a Disaronno mocktail.
Nice almond taste combines well with the woodsy rooibos flavors. Yummy cup of tea!
CommuniTea sample review: First I really don't like red rooibos so really this is a 2 star for me...but since that's my issue and not the teas...I added a star. 😃 I suppose if you like red rooibos and almond this is your tea and it's ok.
Sipping along with the CommuniTEA: Strong sweet almond liqueur-like fragrance from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 5 mins at 212° F, I notice prominent honey-almond notes from my cup. When I take a sip, I receive an initial hit of medicinal rooibos, followed by strong marzipan flavors that linger for a very long time on the palate. I believe that this tea is best used in a blend, as the almond flavoring is a bit strong, even for this huge marzipan lover.
I tried. I really did. But I just can't get past the chemically taste of red rooibos. If this were a green rooibos almond or a honeybush almond this probably would be a very different review. But I just can't deal with cough syrup tea, even if it is almond flavored.
CommuniTEA Sample: Not being a big fan of red Rooibos, this isn’t really the tea for me. The almond does nothing to hide the Rooibos. If you like red Rooibos, it’s probably a decent tea for you.
A lovely almond flavored tea. The flavor was reminiscent of the almond cookies I loved to get, so having this was a treat.
If you enjoy rooibos, you'll like this blend. I'm not a fan of rooibos, but the almond flavoring and some cream helped tone it.
If you love almond baked goods, this is the tea for you. Much sweeter and with more almond flavor than the almond oolong, this almond version puts me in mind of the Dutch almond pastries I was fed while going to school in Orange City, Iowa. A dessert tea, I would say.
Marzipan aromas burst forth out of the packet as it opened. A full herbal steep at 212°F for 7 minutes created a reddish orange tisane.
Almond and marzipan flavors permeated each sip to take center stage. The mildly woody rooibos blended well with the nutty amaretti flavors. The mouthfeel is smooth and silky with an almond tinged edge and finish.
If you like almonds and rooibos, this one's definitely for you! It's got plenty of those and each flavor stands strong on it's own. A nice smooth caffeine free sip.
I am delighted to have discovered Rooibos teas. They are beautiful in a teacup, they have no caffeine but do leave a slight aftertaste that some enjoy and others don’t. Today’s tea pairs the almond with Rooibos giving the a sweet nutty dessert like taste needing no extra sweeteners.
This is a wonderful almond flavored tea. Woody rooibos pairs well with the distinct taste of almond. Sweetening with honey made this tea delicious although it was pleasant enough unsweetened. I didn’t try a dairy add but can imagine one would subdue the woody taste for tea drinkers on the fence. Since the health benefits of rooibos are many and I like the bone support it offers; I’ve learned to cozy up to this woody tea. Flavored ones are favorites and I adore almond no matter the tea base.
My CT packet had 3 g/2 tsp of red rooibos tea leaves with a strong almond/woody aroma. The tea brewed into a lovely caramel color after steeping 12 oz. at 212*F for 5 minutes and I resteeped 7 oz for about 15 minutes. The tea had a much gentler scent than that of the dry tea and the almond flavor held all the way through the cup. I first had this tea in a fandom created by tea friend, Maryjo Bedford, called Vanilla Almond Hint of Chocolate. She liked to brew it at 200*F for 5 min. It sure was a tasty introduction to a nice mix of rooibos teas including this one.
This is a very stong almond flavored tea in my opinion. I do like it but there is just a hint of the almond flavor that has an artificial tinge to it that reminds me of a flavor I've had in the past. I still did enjoy the tea. I do really love rooibos in general as well.
The only thing this tea does for me is solidify my dislike of rooibos
I just havnt been a fan of red roobios lately. It's okay and would drink it if offered but not one I would go search for on my own.
Very enjoyable tea! It's full of flavor and quite sweet on it's own. A really wonderful caffeine free option.
The best thing I can say about this tea is that the almond flavor wasn't as overwhelming as I thought it was going to be. Unfortunately, part of the reason for that was how strongly the rooibos smelled and tasted like cough syrup. I guess rooibos and I will just never be friends!
This would make a great dessert tea. It is sweet, a little nutty, just like an almond pastry. Yum!
This is a delicious blend you get a nice heady scent of almond and the Smoky finish of the rooibos. Once brewed the Almond is toned down and mellow enough to fall right into that Smoky tea. I really enjoy the natural sweetness.
You have to be a fan of rooibos to enjoy this one, I think. I like woody, mildly sweet rooibos, but I think black tea makes a better base for this sweet almond flavor (think almond extract--not eating almonds!). This blend is gently sweet and tastes about equally of that almond flavor and rooibos.
I enjoyed it, but I probably wouldn't buy this one again.
I love the taste of the sweet almond in this tea, but I would prefer the much nuttier almond oolong over this. I do recommend this to rooibos lovers.
I’m just not a rooibos fan. There’s always some weird astringent note at the end that kills it for me. The almond does add a nice vanilla/cherry note at the beginning which is lovely.
Marzipan isn’t my favorite, and neither is rooibos. But this tea works, neither flavor is too intense. I still prefer almond oolong over this tea though.
Oh the marzipan flavor of this tea is scrumptious! Really enjoying this tea combination. What a fabulous calorie free dessert in a cup. Another new favorite decaf tea.
When I first encountered Adagio’s almond flavoring I didn’t know what to make of it. However, now I find I really like it, especially with some sweetener added. I have to watch my caffeine, so this blend is perfect for my needs. It’s a treat but isn’t overly sweet or cloying. I find it hits all the right notes for a caffeine free, end of day sip. I definitely will be ordering a pound bag of this soon! Happy Sipping!
I'm not a rooibos tea lover but I do love the many different flavors they combine. Coconut is one of my favorite but unfortunately it was not strong enough to drown out the unique taste of rooibos.
The almond flavor and one packet of splenda gave back the magic to my enjoyment of rooibos.
17 Oct 20 communiTEA review: First observation and notes about rooibos herbal teas: To prevent fine rooibos bits from getting into my cup; I poured my steeped brew through a fine mesh strainer on its way into the cup.
Heavy duty sweet almond aromas were noted in the bag. When hot, a beautiful deep-red liquor was noticed in my cup. I added some honey and experienced moderate marzipan flavors. When warm, moderate woodsy flavors from the rooibos were noted. Strong marzipan flavors were noted at this point. An overall cloyingly sweet cherry-like aftertaste was noted on my palate. I did a small second steep without adding honey. This made the drink more pleasant tasting. Bottom line, don’t add any honey sweeting as Rooibos adds some of that on it’s own. This tea would be best used in a blend. (5 mins @ 212ºF, 1/4 tsp honey)

Very good, such a unique cup of tea, flavors blend well. From the scent to the flavor, super distinctive for a blend!
Smells deliciously marzipan-y in the packet, but brews up very mild. This admittedly could have been my fault, steeping in too much water. I got almost no almond flavor. Fortunately I like rooibos, so it wasn't a total miss for me. 5+ minutes at 212°F. Four stars because I would try it again and play with variables like tea quantity and steep time.
Almonds are such a big love of mine. I'd drink even more of this if i could and i didn't break out any time i consumed almond products.
This is perfect! Warm, delicious rooibos with the perfect amount of warm, slightly toasted almond flavor! Yes, please!
This is a nice caffeine free version of an almond oolong. I added some roobios honey and milk and flower petals for a latte verison. My second steep was just the plan tea and it was amazing too. As others have stated if you like marzipan you will like this tea.
Great tea!
Usually not a fan of the Rooibos teas but this was really nice. Make sure your strainer is very fine because I found that some of the tea made it's way into my cup. Not a deal breaker and I probably would order this again
Love this tea in the evening. Almond steam coming from my cup...Hmmmm... relaxing.
Great in place of dessert. One of my sister gave me some almond cookie tea, just okay. This one is so scrumptious!! A dessert tea for sure.
Mild, pleasant aroma and flavor made this an almond-lover's treat.
Delicious almond flavor. I enjoyed this tea and will be ordering it again.
This one was really light and pleasant, had my partner try it and the consensus was it tasted almost like more of a vanilla bean than an almond, but I really liked that the almond was not overpowering. It had a grain-like quality to it because of the rooibos element. Overall probably would get it again, although I am still a fan of the vanilla rooibos for a plainer rooibos, and some of the others for more flavorful ones.
I use this in a warm tea concoction that I love to create in the fall/winter.
The naturally sweet, earthy rooibos is the perfect background for almond flavor. This brews up into a smooth, silky cup with no bitterness or astringency and a round, full almond flavor and aroma. A really nice cup!
I'm giving this three stars due to the almond taste, it tastes artifical & if steeped to long its very overwhelming
I got this for my husband for Christmas, and we've both enjoyed it. The flavor is good, and it goes well with a splash of amaretto. 😇 Yeah, I'm not ashamed to admit that.
I can't tell you how many people I have told about this amazing tea. It is like drinking an almond cookie. The almond flavor is delicate rather than in your face. I enjoy it in the evenings like a dessert with a teaspoon of sweetened condensed milk.
In the bag, strong marzipan/almond smell. I love marzipan, so I was excited to try this! Once brewed, it just tastes like rooibos. Tried hot and cold, and it just tastes like red rooibos. Kind of disappointing.
Love the subtleness of the almond. Makes a lovely latte.
