This tea is sweet, definitely tasting more like artificial almond/cherry flavor than nutty natural almond. I enjoy it, just not as much as more complex rooibos flavors like the Hugs and Kisses tea
Savory almond with the bright, sweet taste of Rooibos herb. Smooth and almost marzipan sweet, soft finish.

Lots of rooibos on the first taste, plenty of almond on the aftertaste. Flavors complement well bbut till rooibos. M'eh if 6 ever had one.
The first time I had this tea it didn't seem so roobios heavy the almond flavor really shined it was super sweet tasting to, this time however it's extremely medicinal to me. Almond creamer made it better but not much.
I really love to make this into a tea latte with vanilla soy! It's rich and creamy, I for sure recommend especially for fall.
Beautiful taste and an even nicer sent overall really enjoyed this one
This one pales in comparison to the black tea version here on Adagio, but definitely still a worthwhile get if you're trying to cut out a bit of caffeine.
Extremely pleasant and smooth flavor, one of my favorite non-chai's. So good and delightful
Absolutely delicious - went so well with the cherry coffee cake I made!
Not a fan -- the almond is too much for this tea.
I brewed my Rooibos Almond hot with some rock sugar. The almond and rooibos flavors were pleasantly mild and it was very sweet from the rock sugar. I really enjoyed it! I would highly recommend this tea!
I really like adagio's almond flavored teas, it's like hot liquid marzipan. Compared to adagio's black almond and oolong almond, this one is more subtle with the flavoring and the base rooibos comes through more than the other tea bases adagio uses. I love rooibos, but if you want a flavored rooibos where you can't taste it this one is not it.
Adagio recommended this as a replacement for Teavana's Caramel Almond Amaretti tea. Unfortunately, it doesn't taste like it at all.
I used to drink Celestial Seasonings Almond Sunset, but they changed the formulation and it lost its distinctive almond taste. This tea has that, but it is rather weak. After a cup or two, I found this boring.
Bought as a gift (I do that a lot) and well-received by the recipient.
I m sure this just comes down to taste, but I wasn t a fan. It has a weird cherry-like aftertaste. I was hoping it would taste more like actual raw almonds. My boyfriend said it smells like marzipan (an almond-based dessert), which I guess is very different.
I bought this for my mother bc a review said that this tasted like Spritz cookies and my mother confirmed to me that it does indeed taste like the cookies :D
I've been craving almond flavor and this satisfies. Adds a delicious richness to rooibos
Pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. I liked the almond flavor. It was nice and subtle, not too overwhelming.
I was hoping for more of a marzipan flavor, but to me this tea smells like almond extract. It's tasty but if you're looking for a natural almond flavor, you might be a little disappointed.
Smell strange (in a good way, ofcourse) i ordered this one for my mom, she said she like it a lot @adagioteas
Mmmmm! Almond and buttery! This cup of tea is as yummy as a spritz cookie! I purchased to enjoy the yummy almond flavor without the added calories of a cookie.
This is very nice! The almost is definitely the star! It has a sweet fragrance, an almost cherry-like note, and the rooibos imparts a bit of a hay-like quality. All together it's a very comforting cup of tea, with or without sweetener.
This tea is the perfect evening dessert alternative or when you want something cozy and feel-good. It makes a wonderful latte too.
I read this tea had the same flavor as Teavana Caramel almond amaretti, so I buyed this tea, the tea is good mainly, but flavor is not like caramel almond amaretti, I would like to find a similar tea like caramel almond amaretti from teavana, here in Adagio.
It’s hard to find good almond flavored tea but this is good
Dry tea smells mostly of the woody red rooibos, with a hint of almond. Once brewed, the resulting cup is a rusty brown color with the signature red rooibos scent. When hot, the almond flavor is dominant. When warm, more of the woodiness of the rooibos is apparent. The almond flavor is the star, but I can't make up my mind whether or not I like how it combines with the red rooibos woody notes. Both flavors carry into the finish. However, I can see this as a nice dessert tea without any pesky caffeine. Brewed at 212 for 5 minutes.
There is a reason I always try my communiTEA sample no matter if I think I am going to hate it or not. So far I have not been a big fan of the almond flavoring in tea. It just always tastes off to me with a weird after taste. I am also not a huge fan of red rooibos, but can enjoy it in the right blends. This tea surprised me and it takes the best of both teas and puts them together. Nice marzipan flavors without the weird aftertaste that I usually get. The flavors of the rooibos seem to be covering this up. I added just a wee bit of honey for rooibos and a few drops of cream. Marzipan dessert in a cup! Very comforting on this fall evening. Steeped 212º for 5 mins. Cheers!
I got this as a CommuniTEA sample and made it even though I’d tried a cup of straight up rooibos before and didn’t really like it. It smelled really sweet when I first opened it up! I guess that’s what people mean by a marzipan scent; I’m not as familiar with marzipan but I liked it! I didn’t taste it as much in the tea itself though, and ended up adding some sugar to it, which made it taste nice. A pretty sweet taste; kind of similar to the other few almond teas I’ve tried, though not exactly like them, of course. There’s a flavor to it that I’m not particularly familiar with enough to place (probably the rooibos?). Not sure how much I’d want to try this again, but I enjoyed what I did have this time!
Very, very medicinal in taste. Rooibos tastes medicinal on its own, at least to me, but the inclusion of almond makes it all the stronger.
Not quite like drinking a cookie, but this tisane is sweet enough to send me off to bed with pleasant memories. The taste is more reminiscent of almond cookies and older recipes of marzipan rather than a nutty taste from the almond flavoring.
Smooth and inoffensive, a really great rooibos if you haven't had it before or aren't too into it. The almond is very delicate and faint, which I guess would be a bad thing, but overall the tea itself is light and smooth. Did not need any sweetener, but I bet it would be awesome if you added some.
I just can't get behind rooibos. Really not a fan. But it did taste like almonds so it achieved it's goal :)
Alone is one of my favorite nutty flavors and it pairs beautifully with red rooibos. It is a delicious caffeine free treat. Steeped 4 minutes at 185 degrees.
What a great balance: the almond flavoring is strong enough to mask the medicinal aspects of red rooibos, and the rooibos adds a natural sweetness to the almond. It's a match that is definitely after-dinner dessert-worthy! (212°F x 5 min)
Rooibos is always a toss-up for me but I did like this one. The almond flavor works well here and is actually nice and noticeable. I bet this would do great in blends.
Today's communiTea packet is almond-flavored rooibos. I'm not a rooibos fan, but I saw the suggestion to cold brew the tea earlier today in chat, which worked pretty well. It still tastes like rooibos and very sweet, but I don't find it as objectionable as I normally do. It's a pretty color, and my finum mesh strainer did a pretty good job catching dust. I'm not sure if this would only work cold brewing, or if brewing hot but drinking cold would also work to make it more palatable. If you like rooibos, you'll most likely like rooibos almond a lot, and if you don't like rooibos but have to drink it for some reason, try it cold. :-) Cold brewed in 12 ounces of cool water in the refrigerator for eight hours.
I enjoyed the sweet marzipan tasting almond flavor. A splash of vanilla creamer turns it into a dessert like treat!
Tried as a CommuniTEA sample. I don't care for red roobios but I like almond. The roobios flavor was very strong and this tea tasted a bit like cough syrup to me. Two stars without cream and 3 with cream (dulls the roobios).
If you enjoy Rooibos, this will be a wonderful tea. The subtle flavor of the almond goes well with it!
I always have a sweet tooth, so this tea was a deliciously sweet alternative! I enjoyed having this after dinner very much.
These two flavors compliment each other so well! I really enjoyed this tea!
Enjoyed this sweet almond rooibos tea. Pastry in a cup, no sweetener needed. Brewed at 212 for 5 minutes.
The almond really paired well with the red rooibos. This was an enjoyable cup of tea without caffeine. This tea would make a great base for a blend.
A delicious smell, but unfortunately the taste was mostly plain rooibos.
While I've had teas I dislike more, this tea just didn't do it for me. I like it enough to finish my single cup but not enough to be excited to do so. Very middling tea, and almost too sweet.
The fragrant scent of almonds wafted from the communiTEA package. When steeped, the tea was a beautiful golden colour. The tea itself tastes very almond-y, and a bit sweet.
I’m a big fan of Adagios Almond Oolong, but sadly can’t get behind this Rooibos blend. Adding a touch of sugar and cream made it drinkable, but not truly enjoyable. I think I’ll stick with the Oolong for my nutty fix!
CommuniTEA packet tasting, I dislike red rooibos most of the time. This has a nice almond flavor but the red rooibos ruined it for me. If you like red rooibos and almond flavor, this is your jam! Happy sipping!
This was a yummy tea. The almond complimented the rooibos well and helped highlight the best of both flavors.
The aroma leads you to believe that this a flavorful- but that is not the case. The tea has a very mild flavor, almost watered down. Definitely not a favorite.
