I bought a 3 oz bag to try as an alternative to drinking hot chocolate and to add to my sweet tea blends. I liked it so much I am buying the 16 oz bag and will continue to stock it as part of my tea stash!

I am a huge fan of chocolate and was really hoping this would become my favorite tea, but it wasn't very sweet, it is more of a natural chocolate in my opinion.

Wish it was a little stronger, but it's a fine decaf chocolate option for late at night. Maybe a 3.5!

I'm new to honeybush tea but this one is really really good

★★★★★

I brewed my Honeybush Chocolate hot with some cocoa nibs and rock sugar. 1st of all, the smell was AMAZING! WOW!! I could smell it well before I got anywhere near the cup to drink it. And every sip was so perfectly chocolatey and sweet. Absolutely amazing tea!!! I would highly recommend!

This is the best honeybush tea I've ever had. Honestly I don't think I'll find another that will top this. My favorite caffeine free drink!

A nice treat for the sweet tooth without the sugar.

I'm always a fan of the honeybush teas. They really capture the flavors. This was a yummy chocolate treat. Added a little cream for a hot chocolate feel without the guilt.

★★★★★

Caffeine free chocolate tea! Well, excluding the caffeine provided by the chocolate…

★★★☆☆

This flavor is not overwhelmingly chocolate, more of a chocolate undertone. I don't think I'll order it again, but it's worth a try.

Has hints of a coffee taste. A little bit sweet. It's a fantastic pick me up on a dark day.

★★★★★

Adagio's honeybush hazelnut is one of my favorite teas, and was instantly surpassed by this one as soon as I tried it. It is like actual dessert in a mug. Try this, even if you don't like rooibos! I happen to love it, but plain honeybush isn't my favorite but you can't even tell what kind of base is used in this anyway.

Move over Honeybush Vanilla! Honeybush Chocolate you are my new favorite nighttime tea.

★★★★★

More to my taste than the stronger chocolate black and truffle. Not as bitter. This is great for decaf blends.

★★★★★

great caffeine option, the chocolate flavor is very strong and not artificial-tasting.

★★★★☆

Wonderful chocolate treat when you dont want to have calories or caffeine. The honey flavor of the tea offsets any bitterness of the chocolate and overall turns into dessert.

★★★★★

It smells so nice! The chocolate taste is delicious. I definitely will be buying more.

This is such a smooth, delicious tea. It's my go to for a night time (caffeine-free) tea. The aroma is so enticing. I LOVE IT!

★★★★★

Really nice chocolate smell and creamy aftertaste.
I don’t have this with milk or sugar, and I don’t think this needs it honestly!

Really liked this! It was my first time trying a honeybush blend. I normally avoid dessert blends bc other sites I've gotten them from have not been what I expected, but I could really taste the subtle chocolate in this one, it was pleasant!

★★★★★

I tried mixing this with almond and coconut teas and it was super close to a liquid almond joy.

You can definitely taste the chocolate. Flavor is warm and yummy. Tastes great with a little cream

★★★★★

This tea is out of this world delicious!!I'm trying to cut back on the caffeine, and this tea is perfect.

★★★★★

Pretty mild but I really like it mixed with other teas. Not a chocolate-y as the Chocolate Chip black tea but still a nice flavor with light to medium body.

★★★☆☆

I generally enjoy honeybush tea, but I couldn't find myself coming back for this one. I don't taste the chocolate in it at all. I'll end up using up what I bought but probably wont go back for it again. All in all, there are better honeybush options out there.

★★★★☆

Chocolaty, slightly sweet tea that won't keep me up at night. What more could I want?

★★★★★

The Honeybush Chocolate tea didn't last long. Everybody loved it.

★★★★★

Wish it were a little richer however I quite enjoy this herbal tea with no caffeine which is great for dessert. I upgrade to 5 stars as I feel it is good on its' own but it is perfect for adding to blends when you want the chocolate without the caffeine. To get it to actually taste like drinking chocolate, I add a creamer (almond milk or protein shake with whey protein is my go to) and some chocolate flavored Stevia. I brewed for 212 for 5 minutes but I find you really cannot oversteep the honeybush teas. The second brew was less flavored and I don't think the third brew is worth the bother as it does not really taste like chocolate anymore. Honeybush tea is naturally sweet so you may find you do not need to add sweetener but I wanted to dial the chocolate up to 11 so I added it. I have not tried it unsweetened yet.

★★★☆☆

It's ok. Just a hint of chocolate. Not enough for this chocoholic.

★★★★★

This is one of my favorite honeybush/rooibos options from Adagio. The chocolate flavor is present but not overwhelming and blends really well with the natural earthiness of honeybusy. It's not overwhelmingly sweet but makes for a nice dessert tea--although personally, I love it in the morning with a splash of milk. I steep 1 tsp for about 3 minutes for the first cup, and then add about 1/4-1/2 tsp more of this or plain honeybush and steep it a little longer for a second cup. You can make a second cup without adding more tea, but it's a bit weak for my taste, so I've taken to stretching it by adding just a bit of fresh tea for each subsequent cup.

★★★★☆

I like honeybush and I like chocolate so this was an enjoyable tea for me. I would have liked it to be a little more chocolatey but this was good.

It totally hits the spot for that late night chocolate craving!

★★★★★

Not naturally sweet but has a nice, slightly toasty cacao flavor.

This makes a wonderful dessert tea and is a nice caffeine free night snack. I enjoy it with cream and sweetener and it's even better with spearmint mixed in.

I don’t care for this tea too much. To me it’s a weak and artificially flavored chocolate. I am not sure if I will even make the rest of my sample, but I don’t want to waste money.

Satisfies my chocolate craving in a much healthier way.

★★★★★

I use this tea more for blending with others in my pantry than on its own because it pairs so well with everything I like. The chocolate is very noticeable of course, and honeybush is just a wonderful gentle flavor that I prefer over black tea

Dessert flavored herbal tea. Great to curb your sweet tooth

Guilt free treat- great for an afternoon refresh!

★★★★☆

I tried some excellent blends with Honeybush Chocolate and ordered a sample to see how it was on it's own. I also just tried a sample of Chocolate Truffle, I actually think this Honeybush Chocolate is the better, stronger chocolate flavor. I really like it blended with other flavors (with Honeybush Hazelnut..mmmm!), but it's nice on it's own, too.

I love this tea! It is sweet and no caffeine! It is perfect!

This is such a great tea the flavour is So nice and not to over powering

★★☆☆☆

This one was pretty bland at normal steeping. I tried mixing it with other things and unfortunately that just made it more bland to me.

★★☆☆☆

I was hopeful this would be a tasty non-caffeinated dessert tea to satisfy the occasional chocolate craving. I tried this sweetened with almond milk and found the flavor weak and underwhelming even after an 8 minute steep.

Almost, but not quite, like a cup of cocoa for dessert. (Maybe with a little vanilla?)

I add this tea to my other chocolate teas for a bit of added sweetness. Honestly, I bought it for this purpose and it works beautifully. I don't add sugar to any tea, so I use other honeybush teas for the same purpose. Try it! It saves calories and doesn't spike your blood sugar.
