Great cuppa - the aroma is more of a roasty, toasty cocoa nib scent than a deep, rich chocolate, but it's still lovely. I really enjoy honeybush, and it made a good base for this tea. I have a feeling this one will be in regular rotation in this house.

Smelled good dry and steeped, but not much like chocolate-- more of a honey scent. And, it tastes okay, perhaps even good, but the chocolate is definitely weak. I'm sure it can be tasty and useful in blends, but i won't be drinking it on its own very often. Perhaps if it had a different name more indicative of its taste I might think more highly of it. Right now I'd consider it an overreaching poser. ;)

I was a little nervous with this one, sometimes the chocolate flavor can be a little fake, but I was so wrong. Absolutely love this, great rich flavor. So yummy.

Love the chocolate in this Honeybush blend. Yummy! My go to tea when I want to indulge without the sugar.

★★★☆☆

Even though it is a faint chocolate taste, I really like it as a substitute for my regular chocolate tea that has caffeine in it. It really helps for those nights when I get a chocolate tea craving!

★★★★☆

Of all the chocolate teas I've had from here so far, this one is the best. The chocolate flavor is still pretty light, but I'd keep this around.

Incredibly rich chocolate scent and flavor, it’s almost like a cup of hot chocolate. Love this tea.

Really nice chocolatey uncaffeinated tea for my young daughter who wants to enjoy a hot beverage with us.

I wish the chocolate was a bit more pronounced, but still a good tea. It adds a little extra depth to an already good honeybush tea.

★★★☆☆

If you like honeybush this is a good tea, the chocolate comes through strongly in scent, but not in taste. I'm going to try steeping at different temperatures to see if that makes any difference.

This is a tea made for after a semi busy day, the coldest chill of the year outside, cozy blanket with a good nighttime view or a movie. However, it’s a little too black, not much of chocolate flavor, but enough to taste afterwards.

I was looking for some caffein free options. This one fit the bill. Not phenomenal, but it has a good flavor.

This is a nice honeybush tea with a light chocolate flavor. The honeybush is sweet on its own and the chocolate isn't that artificial chocolate flavor you get in some other chocolate teas. I enjoyed this as a nice cup at the end of the night!

This is a decadent chocolate tea. I like it with a little oat milk. It’s a great after dinner treat.

The chocolate came through strongly in my cup, and paired well I think with the Honeybush tea. Drank in the afternoon (no caffeine!) With milk and sugar.

I had this one warm and with honey. The smell was more like a milk chocolatey type of chocolate than anything and yet the taste of it ended up pretty mild in the cup, even with a sweetener added in. Might have to steep this one longer to taste it more. Otherwise, expect it to be pretty simple!

The cocoa nibs are very prominent it has a very strong cocoa flavor it would probably taste better with a sweetener

I was a bit disappointed in this one. The chocolate flavor was very minimal. Perhaps having a fudge brownie served with it caused the flavor to hide but then upon the second round it didn’t really add more flavor. It was okay. 212 for 5 minutes 3.1 g for 12 oz.

This is a good tea. Though I find that I enjoy other flavors of honeybush more.

This tea is sweet and delicious, and reminds me of a whipped chocolate honey in taste. The natural sweetness of the honeybush is stronger than the chocolate, but it's still present and was most noted when hot.

Cozy, toasted-sugary honeybush flavor pairs nicely with mild cocoa in this blend. This blend is simple and not particularly sweet, contrasting some of Adagio’s other chocolate blends.

Chocolate in a cup. Perfect for at night when you don’t want the caffeine and of course sugar free. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star is I prefer the cocoa mint one better.

This is a staple in our tea drawer. Rarely drink it straight (although quite good), but use it for blending with other teas for some decaf chocolate drinking pleasure.

I really like Honeybush tea and this was a nice blend. The only slight drawback for me was that I would have liked more chocolate flavor in it.

The chocolate really comes through on this one. I like that this dessert tea is decaf and the honeybush gives it a nice base.

Just another average 'chocolate flavored' tea. This is drinkable, caffeine free, and nothing to write home about.

So I loved this! So surprised because I thought 'i'm just going to write again how I don't like chocolate teas or honeybush' but I liked this! Chocolate wasn't too artificial tasting, honebyush mildness blended well with chocolate. Steeped for 5 min anda dded 1/2 tsp coconut sugar. It got cold quickly after 5 min but it's lovely

Enjoyed HB choco today in CommuniTEA! It's cozy and scrumptious! Add just a scooch of sugar or creme for an heightened flav experience. A wondrous caffeine-free dessert tea option. Probably in my top 3 fav Honeybush flavors...

I usually like honeybush. I would try this chocolate blend again with a pinch of ginger or cinnamon. It needs something. Not sure what.

November 19th, 2022 CommuniTea. My packet didn’t appear to have any cocoa nibs in it visually. Taste-wise, there was only a slight chocolate flavor to the tea, so I suspect it would have beeb more forefront if my packet had had a cocoa nib in it. XD It was alright!

I usually have a hard time getting strong chocolate flavor from most chocolate teas without a sweetener, but the honeybush works so well on its own to bring out the chocolate in this one. If you want a really nice chocolate tea, I highly recommend this one.

The honeybush tea is the strongest flavor presnt, fallowed by the faintest whisper of chocolate. Honeybush lovers may enjoy this tea, I personally did not.

This is a tasty chocolate tea for evening sipping when caffeine is a no-no. The Honeybush provides enough sweetness to balance with the dark chocolate without any additions. I only gave it four stars because it is not my favorite chocolate tea to have at night since Decaf Chocolate Truffle became available.

I'm starting to really love Honeybush tea as my go to decaf dessert tea. They are especially good for when I want something sweet after dinner. This tea was YUMMY! I enjoyed mine with a little added sweetner and a little cream.

A pleasant honeybush flavor. I was eagerly anticipating the chocolate, but it didn't really come through for me, very faint if anything.

The scent of this tea shouted CHOCOLATE! But the taste of chocolate was less than a whisper, to me.

Updated 11/19/22 - I let my tea steep longer and there was more chocolate flavor to it than before.

In the bag: Mainly the tan-to-dark-brown tea, finely chopped. Some scattered, tiny cocoa nibs.

On the nose (pre-steep): The light scent of hot chocolate. It's not overpowering - I can detect the honeybush beneath. Not very intense.

On the nose (post-steep): Scent is very faint. Balance between milk chocolate and honeybush. A touch of sweetness.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): A hint of hot chocolate on the front of my tongue. Honeybush is more prominent on the sides and back. Mild. Still slightly sweet.

On the tongue (post-sweetener): No change.

Opinion: A satisfying yet simple tea. I enjoy the notes of hot chocolate and found the honeybush a pleasing partner. Easy to quaff and enjoy without much thought.

Preparation: 7 min @ 212 ℉, ½ tsp monk fruit sweetener

It’s basically as it’s name says. The honeybush is a little sweet and the cocoa nibs taste like chocolate.

I love the honeybush banana nut, so I tried the chocolate, hoping it would taste similar to the Numi brand chocolate rooibos. Although this doesn't have as full-bodied a taste, it is still very good, though nowhere as sweet as the banana nut.

This is a delicious dessert tea with no caffeine. The honeybush and dark chocolate complement one another perfectly. I added some sweetener and also tried it with a veggie creamer. Both tasted wonderful.

I wanted to love this, but it's hard to please a chocolate fanatic. This flavoring is strangely... perfumey. It gave me a bit of a headache instead of being the smooth, simply chocolatey treat I was hoping for. The search continues for that perfect chocolate flavored tea.
