I like honeybush and I love chocolate, but I'm not really getting the chocolate in this honeybush chocolate tisane. It's good, don't get me wrong, just not what I was hoping for.

Should be called 'Honeybush cocoa powder'. oes not taste like milk chocolate but rather unsweetened cocoa powder used for baking. cceptable if you like a bitter, unsweetened chocolate flavor...otherwise, you may not be happy.
Will be adding this as a favorite! The chocolate is subtle, but more pronounced than the Chocolate Chai. The honeybush flavor is wonderful. In fact this smells so heavenly both in the pouch and while brewing. Not bitter at all, and would pair nicely with a bit of cream. If you're looking for a subtle sweet treat, then pick this up. :)
I just sampled this tea, and I have to say that I was pleased with the chocolate tones. Subtle, but delightful. Will definitely order a larger bag.
I like this one much better mixed with a fruity tea - like the blood orange.
While this tea doesn't quite have the chocolately richness of the other chocolate teas, the flavor is still good. I tend to steep it a little longer than usual, but beware of bitterness. Overall, it's pretty light, and a good solution for a sweet tooth when there's nothing else.
This is wonderful with a little sugar and cream. Next time I will try it mixed with rooibus caramel!
efinitely a sweeter tea. The chocolate flavor does come through, especially if you add honey or sugar to draw it out more. Overall a good dessert/bedtime blend since it's caffeine free. I might try mixing it with the hazelnut honeybush too. The only weird thing about this tea is that the flavor/mouthfeel on the end reminds me of a sweet flavor hookah tobacco smoke. Odd?
Mild, light chocolate flavor highlights this honeybush. Good tea. Very calming and relaxing. Good flavor.
Smells nice, but a bit weak. I doubled the recommended amount of tea and it ended up tasting a bit like hot cocoa.

One of my go-to honeybush blends! It takes a while and multiple drinking sessions to get a feel for the chocolate in the blend, but it is there. Just kind of hard to distinguish from the actual honeybush flavor.
Tastes unpleasantly like cheap chocolate coffee. The chocolate flavor is faint and artificial.
This tea smells wonderfully chocolate-y, and tastes just as good! I've never had honeybush before, but this tea was a great one to start with. It's really light, and leaves the perfect subtle chocolate aftertaste.

This tea is unbelievable! So many flavored teas have an artificial taste - but this was warm and wonderful real chocolate flavor - delicious!
Rich chocolate flavor, and the natural sweetness of the honeybush melds well. Don't expect something as decadent as the chocolate or chocolate chip black teas, though. This has a much more delicate taste. Perfect if you want something slightly sweet before bed.
It has a nice, smooth chocolate taste. If you're expecting something like hot chocolate, don't bother getting this tea. It's not- it's tea. It helps with the chocolate cravings :D I liked it sweeter than what I normally drink and with some milk.
Although the description says dark chocolate, I get a creamier milk chocolate taste here, very much like a mild and smooth cocoa. Usually I prefer the darker, more bitter chocolate taste (which I've found in the chocolate chip tea), but this is unexpectedly soothing and pleasant. I especially love the fact it's caffeine free! I haven't added anything to it, and it tastes lovely. It won't be replacing my chocolate chip tea anytime soon, but I suspect it will create a before-bedtime niche all its own.
Great way to enjoy a healthy chocolate drink. Just wish there was a little more chocolate :)
I've never had honeybush tea before, so I don't really know what to compare to. It was sweet, though it definitely still needed the milk (doesn't all tea?)
This was good, not great. I am new to honeybush tea and I really like it, but I think I prefer the rooibos cocmint to this one. Something about the mint, I guess.
I can honestly say that this REALLY is my favourite of all the teas I have tried that are flavoured like chocolate. The plain chocolate and chocolate chip teas were all right, but very faint. This one had just the right amount of chocolate flavouring, but not overkill to give it that classic 'watered down hot cocoa' taste I was so familiar with when trying chocolate teas before I found the site.
A good, sweet evening tea. The chocolate flavour seemed mild to me. Now I want to try it with the hazelnut.
A stocking stuffer for my Mom. She can't have real chocolate or any sort of caffeine so I'm hoping something with just 'natural chocolate flavour' is fine and dandy for her.

This tea isn't much to look at, but has a rich, dark, chocolate smell to it. It makes a pretty dark cup of tea. I don't have much experience with honeybush teas (but want to try more!), so I'm definitely not an expert. This smells of honey and chocolate and tastes about the same, although not strongly so. I bet it would be nice with some rice milk added to it. Definitely a nice dessert tea.
This is great mixed with black teas, especially if you want to cut back on your caffeine intake. A great smooth taste with a little bit of chocolate. If you're just starting to try flavored teas, this is a nice easy start.
My sister loves this, since she is trying to find an alternative to coffee. She loves the strong smell and taste.
This was my first time trying this tea and it's pretty good. The chocolate is not really stton but it's great when mixed with other teas. I love it with the vanilla rooibos.
My 12 year old son loves this tea! It has a rich, chocolately taste (you need to add a bit more than the recommended 1 scoop). He will make himself a cup in the evening when doing homework.
On its own, it's not overly impressive, but it is delicious when mixed with honeybush hazelnut! The combo tastes a bit like Nutella.
Add a bit of cream and this is a low-cal chocolate dessert. Yum! I use a lower brew temp and steep a longer time than recommended. I am always happy with the outcome.

Oh yes. Now this is chocolate. With a generous helping of milk it becomes a great hot cocoa alternative, and it's sugar and caffeine free! LOVE this!
Decent tea. Not my favorite, but has a relaxing sort of flavour. Can't taste the chocolate that much, but it is still enjoyable.

The first cup I had had a delicious chocolate flavor, but I could tell that the silky taste prone to honeybush implied that this tea would work best with blending. The second time I could barely taste it - so this tea might be very sensitive to brewing style to bring out the majority of its chocolatey goodness(Aside from the influence of other foods I was eating at the time). Trying this was helpful because it made me realize that I prefer honeybush in blends with black teas - it tastes a bit weak on its own to me. This is nice and sweet with a hint of chocolate, but not much body.

It is ok by itself, has a little cocoa flavor to it. Mix it with honeybush hazelnut and it tastes way better.
I was unsure whether I would like this tea as I'd never had any honeybush teas and I'm not overly fond of chocolate teas, but I was pleasantly surprised with this. It's naturally sweet, smooth and the chocolate flavor was perfectly balanced. Even my husband who is very new to hot teas loved this and said he'd drink a cup any time I make this :)
So thanks to adagio, I've discovered that I REALLY love honeybush teas! I like mine lightly sweetened, and they're also a good alternative to using water in pancake mix! Honeybush chocolate is good on its own, and especially good combined with honeybush hazelnut!
Plenty of rich, chocolatey flavor, but somehow off-putting. It may blend well with other varieties. Some experimentation is in order.
A nice caffeine free tea. The chocolate taste could be a little stronger. I like this for mixing with other teas.

I got this as a free sample in my order. I do not like the taste of chocolate in my tea. Fruit, and slightly floral are my favorite.
