★★★★☆

I really enjoy this tea even though the banana flavor isn't super strong.

When I opened the packet this tea have a very banana nut bread smell. Drinking this tea also reminds me of banana bread. While I'm a fan of banana bread I don't really care for it as a tea.

★★★★★

Yum! This tea really tastes like banana bread with a hint of chocolate. This is dessert in a cup. Love it.

★★★★☆

This is a pleasantly sweet tea that isn't overpowering! I usually don't like banana flavour but this one is rounded out really well by the nutty-ness! A great dessert tea.

★★★★★

This tea heavily features banana (which I absolutely detest), so I personally wasn't enthused about it. However, I can 100% advocate this tea for people who even somewhat enjoy banana. I couldn't separate my distaste for the most distinctive of yellow fruits but if I could've I know I would have LOVED this tea.

I enjoyed this tea. It's warming, sweet and nutty. Like others have said, this definitely tastes like banana bread.

Delish. Tasted just like banana bread. It was like drinking desert.

What a fantastic tasting tea that could be a dessert tea but isn’t too sweet and works during the day too. I prefer this tea hot and not iced. I could smell this tea all day long, it’s really delightful!

May 19, 2020 This tea was a real surprise to me. I really enjoyed it! It's like banana bread in a cup. I added a tiny bit of honey.
Feb 23, 2021 I love this tea! I sometimes add Butterscotch(tea) with cream and sugar...sooo good! Satisfies sweet tooth!

This was my first time drinking Honeybush tea. This tea tastes just like banana nut bread! It's like drinking a dessert! The more I drank it, the more the taste grew on me. I don't think it's a tea I'd purchase or drink regularly, but I enjoyed the novelty of it.

I don't really like banana flavored anything, so I gave this tea to someone else. They really enjoyed it, and agreed with the popular sentiment that it tasted like banana bread or pancakes.

The CommuniTEA packet for the day contained one of our favorites: honeybush banana nut! The scent of bananas and chestnut wafted out of the package like opening the oven after making banana bread.

Brewed as a standard herbal tea for 7 mins at 212°F made a toasty amber tisane. The flavor is a great blend of banana, chestnut, and honeybush. The flavors mingle together to form liquid banana bread!

This one is great when paired with actual banana bread too! It's such a calming and fully flavored honeybush blend, with zero caffeine so it's perfect for the afternoon or night. Now if only we still had some bananas lying around to make bread with...

This is a very flavorful tea, I find it delightful in the afternoons when I need to watch my caffeine intake. It also makes a great Latte with a bit of sugar or honey and some milk foam. A dash of cocoa on the top and your good to go!

★★★★★

Wow! I was surprised at how wonderful this tea was. It was a great late afternoon 'snack' since it tasted of banana bread, and for once I was grateful to have something decaf as it was a good afternoon tea for me.

★★★★☆

Bananas are not my favorite, but I do love honeybush. This tisane is naturally sweet and a little nutty flavored. The banana flavoring isn't overpowering, so was quite nice.

I must admit I was skeptical about banana flavor in a tea, especially since banana flavoring rarely lives up to the actual fruit. But this tea didn't disappoint!

The dry tea does smell convincingly of banana bread, and after a 5 minute steep the reddish brew has toasty, sweet, and nutty aromas. Honeybush is the perfect base for this tea, providing a sweet smoothness that doesn't get in the way of the main flavors. The banana surprisingly tastes of actual banana, totally different from the flavoring found in banana candies and such. Chestnut comes through as a chewy nuttiness that also tastes natural. The whole package has that fresh-baked flavor, which is like magic to find in a cup of tea that has never seen an oven!

I found this tea sweet enough to need no added sugar, making it a perfect candidate for a guilt-free dessert drink. The 'bakedness'™ of this blend will fool you into thinking it's a cup of real banana bread!

It's easy to see why this tea seems so popular. I don't love banana bread, but this tea really hits the spot. Both the banana flavor and the nutty flavor are clearly present and complement each other.

★★★★★

This was really surprising! Normally I don't like banana nut bread (because I don't like nuts in things, although they're fine by themselves), but this was delicious! I would never have thought of banana in tea. It sounded weird. Smelled really good when I opened the package, just like fresh baked banana bread (which smells good, I just don't like the taste). It didn't disappoint when drinking, either. It still had that banana flavor, but not overwhelming, and not fake, with a light nuttiness in the background. This one's a keeper, but I'd advise sweetening this with your sweetener of choice to get that banana bread flavor.

★★★★★

Thanks to the CommuniTEA program, I am definitely a rooibos convert, particularly honeybush. This one is no exception - the banana is subtle but still very present, and the flavor definitely does invoke a banana nut muffin. Yum!

★★★★☆

I made this as a latte with vanilla milk and it tasted like a banana muffin.

I received this tea as part of the CommuniTEA box, and as such, teas in such a small portion might not be balanced. On with the proper review.

Upon opening the tea, it smells strongly of caramel and warm comfy notes. It seems nice and while I had been concerned about the banana flavor, it seems promising enough. I opted to steep it for the full five minutes at 212 degrees, and it steeped the usual red/orange of honeybush tea. It smells like a bakery in the cup, and tasting it seems much the same. It's warm and comfy, and reminds me of 'Felix Felicis' by Robert Pirlot, a tea we received earlier in the month with the CommuniTEA box.

A touch of sugar brightens it, but it's certainly not necessary, I don't think. It's perfectly enjoyable, and while I didn't add milk, I'm sure that would be nice as well.

I was sure I wasn't going to like this because all the reviews say it tastes just like banana nut bread which has always been a little too sweet for me, but this is delicious. I don't like banana, but I gotta be honest, this tea is making me want to try banana again to see if my tastebuds have changed or something, because this was really good!

I love honeybush tea, but I usually avoid anything banana flavored and I hate the typical pecan/walnut situation in banana bread; therefore, I avoided trying this tea. Mistakes were made. This tea is delicious and I could have been drinking it months ago, so now I will need to make up for lost time by ordering a large bag. As a person who doesn't love banana bread, I can say that this is still yummy despite having similarities to said baked goods. There is banana flavor, but as someone else stated it is not quite realistic and not quite fake. It is also not overly potent like most banana flavored things. There is a natural sweetness and earthiness from the honeybush. Bonus points for the chestnut flavor as the 'nut' component of this - it brings a nutty, woody flavor that is more caramel-like than nut-like, which makes it extra tasty. Together, the flavors meld into one yummy cup of tea. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 5 min @ 212F)

Holy cow this tea is good. Complex, full-bodied, genuinely banana-tasting (instead of fake-banana-tasting). I would have been really wary of this flavor if I'd seen it on a menu, but it's so much better even than it sounds.

I will admit this would probably have been the last tea I would buy. Somehow the thought of drinking Banana tea just did not sound good. But a friend said it was really good. So I got a sample size and now I wish had gotten a larger size. So I am excited that it is part of the community today giving me an extra severing.

This tea is sweet and nutty. It is smooth and a perfect tea for any time of the day. The banana flavor is not a fake candy flavor. It was a perfect tea to pair with some fresh hot banana bread.

OMG! this tea is amazeballs! From initially reading the ingredients to just smelling the tea packet I was already excited. Then taking the first sip and instantly having a piece of banana bread in my mouth! I'm usually skeptical when people say something taste just like something baked. But this seriously does taste just like banana bread or banana nut oatmeal. such a rich and smooth flavor I'm sad I can only give this 5 stars.

Tasting along with the CommuniTEA today: For me this taste more like banana maple syrup without the sweetness. After steeping as recommended, initially I do smell something very close to my mother's homemade banana bread on the nose. However, when I take a sip I get more maple flavor than I do anything else. My packet also seems to be missing the cocoa nibs and cinnamon. This is one of those teas that leaves me smelling maple all day no matter what I do. It's not unpleasant, just not my cup of tea. :)

Tastes just like banana bread; i made a latte with it what a treat. Sweetener really brings out the flavor in this one. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA February Box. But buying this caffiene free option for my sister.

This is incredible!!! Like a liquid dessert... may be my new decaf favorite to replace my old favorite discontinued Yogi Tea, Tahitian Vanilla Hazelnut. Nice, soft banana flavor with a hint of nuttiness, reminiscent of banana bread.

I am so glad I gave this a try! I never would have selected a banana tea, but this is a delight! It's got a mellowness to it and it banana-y without being too saccharine or 'fake' tasting. I'm considering buying a larger sized sample. I can't imagine this would be a 'daily driver' for me, but I think it would be excellent with a buttery piece of toasted banana bread some Saturday morning.

Holy cow this is good! I love the banana bread and this is as good an imitation as a tea can get. A lovely nutty banana scent and flavor with hints of cinnamon and apple. I will definitely be gifting this to my fellow banana nut loving friends.

The smell of this tea is amazing. I didn't identify it as banana right away--it smelled like vanilla and chestnut. The taste has a faint hint of banana and warm cinnamon, but I think I had too many apples in my packet, because there is a tart apple flavor that I find very distracting from the illusion of banana bread! I might order a full size sample though, to see if I get a more balanced blend that way! I tried this without milk or sugar, but with those I bet it would be even better. I also want to try this blended with a chai.

Believe all these great reviews of Honeybush Banana Tea. A wide range of Adagio fans stand by its deliciousness. I’m one more.

Set your kettle on high, not your oven to enjoy this banana bread tasting treat. The recipe includes honeybush tea, a few cocoa nibs, a sprinkling of marigold flowers, and chunky little apple pieces that piggyback flavors cinnamon, banana, and chestnut. Set all in a mug with infuser. Do not grease infuser. Pour boiling water over all and wait for at least 5 minutes before enjoying this wonderful banana bread in a cup. The beautiful auburn liquor can be sipped plain or topped with favorite dairy, whipped if you like, and sweetener just like a real cake. Dessert first anyone?

Wow! What a home run full of flavor! This delightful blend tastes exactly like banana nut bread. Sweet, comforting, and nutty, although I did not get any nuance of chocolate. (Honestly, it wasn’t needed, and I’m a girl who always adds chocolate chips to my banana bread recipe!) This one will definitely be added to my tea collection. A perfect guilt free, caffeine free treat!

Far Out! A freshly-baked banana nut bread aroma smacked me right in the face upon opening my communiTEA packet this morning. This tea is one of my favorite Adagio desert blends. I’ve had it in my tea pantry for quite some time. My taste buds were salivating!

In the past, I have found that using one and a half teaspoons of tea for a four minute steep at 212°F was perfect for making a 12-ounce cup of this tea.

When hot, moderate baked apple and banana flavors were noted.

When warm, the combination of cocoa nibs, sweet flavors from the added sugar and Honeybush provided an overall buttery-smooth mouthfeel. Mild spicy flavors were noted from the cinnamon. The chestnut and banana flavorings held the whole process together by providing a true bread vibe, and making this blend “the real deal!”

Yep, what we had here was a buttered slice of banana nut bread in a cup! A very pleasant experience indeed! A second steep proved to be milder in flavors, but still very tasty. (¼ tsp sugar)

I steeped my CommuniTEA portion for 5 and a half minutes with simmering water. It was a bit weak but the banana flavor is definitely there as well as whatever makes it muffin-like. Sugar seems to have blended those 2 flavors together, which actually wasn't as good when hot. When cooled, it was a delightful dessert. I resteeped for 8 minutes with less water. When hot, all I could taste was banana. as it cooled, it just seemed like warm water. I already bought a bag of this one to have around.
