Set your kettle on high, not your oven to enjoy this banana bread tasting treat. The recipe includes honeybush tea, a few cocoa nibs, a sprinkling of marigold flowers, and chunky little apple pieces that piggyback flavors cinnamon, banana, and chestnut. Set all in a mug with infuser. Do not grease infuser. Pour boiling water over all and wait for at least 5 minutes before enjoying this wonderful banana bread in a cup. The beautiful auburn liquor can be sipped plain or topped with favorite dairy, whipped if you like, and sweetener just like a real cake. Dessert first anyone?

Wow! What a home run full of flavor! This delightful blend tastes exactly like banana nut bread. Sweet, comforting, and nutty, although I did not get any nuance of chocolate. (Honestly, it wasn’t needed, and I’m a girl who always adds chocolate chips to my banana bread recipe!) This one will definitely be added to my tea collection. A perfect guilt free, caffeine free treat!

At first smell was over powering and I wasn't sure about drinking that much sweetness but after 1st sip I'm a fan. Suger free, really, tastes like a million calories!! yum

Far Out! A freshly-baked banana nut bread aroma smacked me right in the face upon opening my communiTEA packet this morning. This tea is one of my favorite Adagio desert blends. I’ve had it in my tea pantry for quite some time. My taste buds were salivating!

In the past, I have found that using one and a half teaspoons of tea for a four minute steep at 212°F was perfect for making a 12-ounce cup of this tea.

When hot, moderate baked apple and banana flavors were noted.

When warm, the combination of cocoa nibs, sweet flavors from the added sugar and Honeybush provided an overall buttery-smooth mouthfeel. Mild spicy flavors were noted from the cinnamon. The chestnut and banana flavorings held the whole process together by providing a true bread vibe, and making this blend “the real deal!”

Yep, what we had here was a buttered slice of banana nut bread in a cup! A very pleasant experience indeed! A second steep proved to be milder in flavors, but still very tasty. (¼ tsp sugar)

I steeped my CommuniTEA portion for 5 and a half minutes with simmering water. It was a bit weak but the banana flavor is definitely there as well as whatever makes it muffin-like. Sugar seems to have blended those 2 flavors together, which actually wasn't as good when hot. When cooled, it was a delightful dessert. I resteeped for 8 minutes with less water. When hot, all I could taste was banana. as it cooled, it just seemed like warm water. I already bought a bag of this one to have around.

This tea is wonderful. The flavors are definitely reminiscent of banana bread. The cinnamon also comes through. A honeybush tea that I stand behind! I definitely like honeybush tea more than rooibos but both are much better as part of a complex flavor than plain.

This is a dessert tea. Very comforting to drink and perfect on a winter’s day. The tea tasted a bit like banana pancakes with maple syrup too if you use your imagination.

Served hot, with a splash of vanilla syrup, it tastes just like hot banana bread! Yum!

Pretty good tea that is made best with a teaspoon of honey or sugar. Good for warming a chilly morning.

This is a great honeybush tea. It tastes exactly like banana bread. I don’t typically sweeten my teas but this one seems to call for it. It makes an amazing caffeine-free treat for a cold afternoon.

Unique flavor but awesome. Great for anytime, don't need a cookie or muff---- have it already in the cup.

It tastes very nice, surprisingly so, but I can t quite get past what an odd flavor this is for a liquid to have. Very much a dessert tea, especially with its lack of caffeine, and I m not sure why the apples were necessary, since they don t really add flavor. Make sure you have a VERY fine strainer so the bits don t escape into your cup.

I'm not traditionally a big fan of overly flavored teas. But this one tastes exactly how it sounds! And it is a delicious treat at the end of a day with no caffeine and no calories. :-)

The banana nut tea is very good. It has notes of banana and apple and finishes with cinnamon nuttyness, it tastes like a cup full of baked goods. I felt the longer it steeped the better it tastes, didn't feel like it really got bitter.

The first time I brewed this, I am pretty sure that I accidentally didn t brew enough of it...so the flavor didnt really come through well. The next time I brewed this I ensured that I was making it stronger and the flavor really came out. It smells just like its description and it really does taste like banana bread. I sweetened it with honey.

This one was a good choice if you're craving something sweet or want dessert without the guilt.

Truly dessert in a cup! I enjoy this as an evening sip, and I don't bother with any sweeteners because it tastes decadent enough on its own. The banana flavor is a tad artificial tasting but it doesn't take away from the quality.

This tea is fantastic! I added some dried banana chips while it was steeping and it brought out the banana flavour! Smells like heaven, tastes like heaven.

Repurchased for a friend. I have never tried it, but she loves it.

Good stuff! I made a huge pot of it and knocked off the whole sample bag in a weekend with a friend.

Warm sweet and comforting. Like a hug in a cup! Makes a lovely late afternoon or dessert tea.

The smell of this tea had me hooked. I will be ordering more of this one for sure.

Smells incredible and tastes exactly as advertised. I only removed a star because of personal preference as I found this tea to be so sweet that it bordered on tasting artificially so. I was looking for a dessert tea and this certainly delivered, but it's more from an overwhelming honey flavor (I know, I know, it's in the name so I should have expected it).

Update: So after having it both hot and cold the past few days, this flavor has really grown on me to become one of my new favorites. I'll often mix this with a bland black tea and it gives it a wonderful flavor and aroma.
