I had previously bought the red rooibos sampler and loved the earthy taste of it. I didn't know what to expect with the green. I really enjoyed this as well! It has a fresher taste than the red, almost like a light green tea.

Interesting, but not substantially different from ordinary rooibos.

I didn't really like this one at all. The flavor wasn't what I was expecting.

★★★☆☆

Not very strongly flavored - I guess I prefer traditional rooibos to green.

★★★★☆

nice - not too sweet, not too bitter. Just enough of a 'tea' flavor to enjoy w/o extra flavors.

I love the light, woodsy notes to this tea. It reminds me of a green tea only without the caffeine. I like this tea first thing in the morning because of the low tannin levels; it never upsets my stomach. I'll be buying this one again.

This is a wonderful tasting tea. I think it has to grow on you, I didn't like it so much the first few times. I do like it better cold brewed.

I'm ordinarily a fan of the flavored teas but I find the green rooibos works great on its own. Update from Dina Kimmel: this is my favorite go to tea during the day when I want a caffeine free tea.

I like it! The dry leaf smells a bit like yerba mate. Has a complex taste. I was expecting it to taste lighter and more 'green,' if that makes sense, but it's interesting and a bit bold. Has the same smoothness as typical red rooibos.

very unpleasant taste. I'll stick with red rooibos

I really really dislike regular red rooibos. However, the green rooibos proves to be a delicious variety of the rooibos family. It actually tastes very similar to a white or green tea, without any of the grassy, leafy taste. I will probably be ordering this again, and probably some of the green rooibos flavored blends as well.

Very nice and lovely. More mild than the regular rooibos, but still has a flavor of its own.

My favorite Rooibos! I prefer this to the regular red rooibos because it is less oxidized, thus it retains more nutrients and anti-oxidants than its red counter-part! Tastes a lot like green tea, but has a low tannin level so it won't upset your stomach!!

I just came across this tea and it is amazing. It has an earthy scent and tastes good. I mostly drink this tea for its associated health benefits and because it is caffeine free.

I loved this. It's almost like rooibos and honeybush had a baby. It's sweeter like a honeybush but still has some of the earthier rooibos flavors intact.

Pretty similar to green tea but smoother and sweeter. I prefer this for the flavour and because it's caffeine free. A good everyday anytime sort of cup for me. Great on its own or mixed with some of the fruity herbals. Haven't tried it iced yet but I think it would be fantastic.

I found this just to be an ok tea. I ordered it more out of curiosity. Wasn't sure what to expect, I found it to just sort of bland but not in a bad way. Just sorta ok

The tea smells very grassy in the bag, but brews up much less so. It's very mild, but pleasant with a little agave to sweeten. It is perfect as the base for a chai modeled after Adagio's white chai.

I didn't care for this. It had a much more grassy/floral flavor than regular rooibos--almost like a mild chamomile. The leaves are also so thin that a decent amount of them worked their way out of my fine mesh strainer and into my cup.

★★★★☆

This is a bit more mild compared to the regular rooibos. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but I like regular rooibos better.

Just added this to my list of favorites - so smooth - flavors aren't competing with each other - great tea for anytime or yo blend with other favorites.

Tastes smoother, mellower and grassier (in a good way!) than red rooibos/honeybush, vaguely reminiscent of green tea. Never bitter, even after boiling in water too long. I like this on it's own or mixed in with other flavored herbal teas.

This tastes similar to red rooibos, but with an additional grassy flavor (that is a fairly faint flavor, though). I prefered the red rooibos to this tea.

Nice when you want something not sweet! I found this tea at a local restaurant!

★★☆☆☆

I don't know if I prepared it wrong or what, but it had almost no taste for me. I still have a few more cups left in my sample, so I will try brewing it with more leaves or at a higher temperature in hopes of getting some flavor out of it. It doesn't really smell like much in the bag either though.

★★★★☆

I really enjoyed the green rooibos! I usually enjoy white teas, but this is probably my favorite nighttime tea.

When I tasted after I ordered 6 package of the tea, I was very disappointed It does not like the original authentic green rooibos I had before that were imported from South Africa

good flavor, not too strong, fresh grassy smell. I enjoy this in afternoon and when not wanting too much caffeine.

I really like the green rooibos. I was hesitant at first because I really liked the red rooibos and figured why mess with a good thing. I'm glad I tried it!

I had pretty high expectations for this tea after trying the plain rooibos. I found this to be very drinkable but underwhelming, even with a long steep. It was missing the rich earthiness I found with the red. It's worth a try with a sampler to see for yourself which rooibos you prefer.

Pretty good starter, I add mint from my garden. It doesn't stand up on its own. Great that it's caffeine-free though. Good option if you want to experiment. It is sweet, but not cavity sweet. Fun way to experiment with adding different things.

Soothing on its own, great possibilities for mixing (consider lemon, vanilla, rose, ginger or other spices). I was less satisfied when I brewed the tea in a tea-ball, but prepared stove-top it's delicious.

An updated review... I wasn't too impressed with this one upon my first try. however, after sampling it again, I think my tastes may have changed. I find green rooibos to be less 'in-your-face' with that medicinal flavor that standard rooibos has, but instead it has a very pleasant level of smooth sweetness (reminiscent of barley and alfalfa) that I find quite good! Perhaps I got a sample from an inferior batch that first time, but now, I find this stuff to be very, very good!

This is a fine basic 'tea.' Not a big flavor, but a pleasant one that's suitable for blending with other teas. I especially like it iced. There's zero caffeine, so it's fine for the evening. And it's a bargain.

I'm generally not a fan of rooibos - its distinct flavor gets on my nerves at times. However, this green rooibos is great. It doesn't have much of that rooibos-y flavor, but it's still caffeine-free and low in tannins (both important to me). All in all, great!
