This tea was good. Cardamom wasn’t as strong as I thought it might be. But I was happy about that.
The richness of toasted almond is decadent and soul-affirming, balanced lovingly by the perky, uplifting notes of cardamom and a touch of sweet cinnamon in our caffeine-free rooibos.

This tea was good. Cardamom wasn’t as strong as I thought it might be. But I was happy about that.
Good quality but not my favorite. The spices were a bit too strong for my taste.
This tea tastes like a beautifully baked dessert! I will definitely be purchasing more!
This really does taste like cake! Something about the honeybush adds that heartiness a good cake needs, and the almond flavor is as sweet as a pastry.
Mixed with Cream its fabulous. Alone is good but Cream smooths it out
I add this tea to my mocha nut mate. It adds hints of nutty and spice flavors. Making my morning tea feel like a morning coffee. It add a smooth rich flavor.
I really wanted to like this because it has all the elements that appeal to me - however, something in the aroma was off-putting to me.
This tea feels like a nice treat! I love almond. Since it's not caffeinated it's nice for after dinner.
Strong almond and cardamom flavors to this tea. It has natural sweetness to it so you don't need to add sweetener or only need to add a little. That said, this tea isn't for me, I think maybe too strong of flavors.
I love this tea. It is my favorite Adagio tea. It is great for an after dinner tea as it doesn’t have caffeine.
Delicious. Taste like a spice cake but not as spicy as like a chai tea
Whenever I have a sweet tooth I go for a cup of this and it satisfies it right away.
I liked this tea enough, but it's not the best thing I've ever had - hence the 3 stars. It's sweet, but nothing special
Very delicious and the cardamom is not too much- perfect balance.
I love almond, I love cardamom, and I love cake, but they don't come together for me in this tea. The rooibos is the overwhelming flavor, sadly. This one was good to try but won't be reordered in our house.
this tea is sweet, spicy, aromatic, and cozy. If you like a tea with warmth to it, while also being very desserty i would say this one if def for you. Rooibos is strong on taste, but the almond shines through in the aroma
The flavors are delicious, but it can be a bit too strong for me. I brew a lighter tea ball for less time, otherwise I get a bit overwhelmed from the spices.
Delicious! One of our favorites, like a dessert with a splash of creamer. Caffeine free so it’s good for a relaxing evening cup.
One of my first adagio teas - this is a perfect winter tea - if you enjoy an almond flavor I would give this one a try. I drink most of my teas plain, and at night - I recommend it!
The loose tea smells strongly of almond. The taste is also strongly of almond and a bit of cardamom.
Almond Cardamom Cake did not live up to my expectations. I think it was the rooibos that I didn't care for.
A delicious fall-forward caffeine-free tea. This tastes of nuts and spices. I tend to extend the steep to 5+ minutes as I feel this brings forward the cardamom flavor.
Love this! It's a pleasant 'off-the-beaten-path' dessert cup with the almond and cardamom flavors nicely balanced. IMO, to shine best it needs both a creamer & sweetener; otherwise one may find the rooibos notes to be more 'medicinal' in nature. I do a long steep and am decently liberal with my use of honey & half-n-half to allow the warm, toasty notes of this tea to come forward.
Such a delightful fall/winter blend: the combo of almond and cardamom is one I always enjoy, and this tea is a lovely example of how well these flavours go together.
The smell is yummy! Loved the spice and warmth, reminded me of winter day in front of fire place,
Absolutely love this tea, it is similar to a tea from David's tea that I used to love. it smells like Christmas in a cup
Only tea I've ever gotten from Adagio that I threw straight in the trash. No even sure how to describe it - just a lot of weird flavors that don't go together,
I was very excited for this one, and it smells AMAZING when you open the bag. It really nails the almond cake smell. I brewed it for the recommended time and sweetened with a bit of sugar. First sip I was not impressed with the taste, and then the awful aftertaste hit. I truly have never tried a tea from here that I couldn’t finish a cup of, until this one. I took one more sip and then dumped it out. The aftertaste is horrible. I struggle to think what could be the ingredient to cause it, but figure it must be the rooibos itself. Rooibos isn’t my favorite type of tea but I have other samples that I’ve liked so this is just unusual. I wholeheartedly agree with the other reviews that this would be so much better paired with oolong or a black tea instead of rooibos, and I really hope Adagio blends this with another tea in the future. I’ll give it one extra star for the dry leaves smelling so good, but I would not recommend, would not buy again, and I might just throw out the rest of my sample. That’s how bad the aftertaste is.
Nice to try and I like the cardamom flavor but tastes a tad like cherry cough syrup to me - would probably not order again.
I like thos, but the nutty flavor is a bit strong.
This beautiful red tea has a very strong aroma, and delicious almond and cardamom flavor. It's good hot or iced.
Not a fan of this tea personally. Really heavy on the cardamom, and feels like it’s missing something. It’s alright as a tiny sample but not worth buying a whole bag.
Nice almond/ameretto flavor with a bit of spice! Delightful dessert tea. Wish it was a bit stronger but I guess I could add an extra scoop for more flavor.
A little too generous with the cardamom, otherwise it's fine. The almond and cinnamon notes come through. It's best with milk and a little bit of sweetener (highly recommend honey or maple syrup for a more autumnal drink).
An okay flavor, but it sort of had a weird mouthfeel to me. I'd maybe get this again as a small sample.
An absolute delight. It's like having an almond pastry in a cup! A smidge of sugar or honey really bring out al the complexity.
This is not my favorite tea. I am thinking of mixing it with something else to give it a little more kick. Still a nice warm autumnal tea.
Nice nutty flavor as expected with a name like almond cardamom cake. Does have an almost savory flavor, but not unpleasant.
Did not like the flavor at all. Didn’t even finish the glass.
A nice warm slice of Almond Cardamon Cake in a tea. I traditionally add just a bit of a sweetner to it to give it the more traditional cake flavor.
While pleasant, this tea was a little too astringent for my tastes. The aroma was nice. I was hoping it might be a good tea for milk and honey, but no, not really.
In the bag: About 50% rooibos. The rest is an even blend of white cornflower, cardamom seeds, cocoa nibs, and cinnamon chips.
On the nose (pre-steep): Slightly sweet, slightly spicy cake with a faint almond. It's a baking spice kind of spicy. Vaguely adjacent to nut bread.
On the nose (post-steep): Spices are more potent. Distinct whiffs of cinnamon and cardamom. Vanilla has departed. Intense.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Classic rooibos up front. Hints of cardamom, almond, and cake bread in the aftertaste. No cinnamon.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): Similar to pre-sweetener, but I get cinnamon on the tip of my tongue.
Opinion: An excellent and unique flavor. You have to be Team Rooibos to appreciate, and I am. Best with sweetener to bring out all the spices. Reminds me of spiced cake breads, so the blender nailed it.
Preparation: First steep 5 min, second steep 10 min. Both @ 212 °F. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.
This one is different but good- use as a cup of tea at night!
A kitchen witch's tea cake! I love this toasty-sweet, slighly herbal blend for after dinner; cardamom is so good for the tummy.
Cardamom is my favorite sweet spice and this tea doesn't disappoint. The combination with almond hits the mark. So good!
This tea smells amazing! Strong almond and cake-like flavors and scents. The cardamom is present as well, but isn't overpowering. This works well both hot and iced.
Exactly like it sounds! It's not super 'cakey' but I actually like that as I feel like cake would be a hard flavor to add to a tea without a lot of artificial stuff. Almondy cardamom-y goodness. Very comforting in the evening or on a cold day.
This was a decent cup but you should like rooibos. The flavors are there but more subtle than I expected.
Wow what a great tea. Tasted like eating a cinnamon cookie. Great flavor. a nice subtle almond flavoring throughout the tea
