I am just getting into Pu-Erh teas. I did not care for the Orange flavored one, but this one was very good.

A nice, light flavor. It’s not my favorite, but I keep it in my morning tea rotation for variety.

My absolute favorite. I love the smooth flavor of it.

A new favorite! We love Valentines tea and this one is a close second! We love to have it for afternoon tea while we do nature study for school.

You every get tea drunk? Well ya should and here is the perfect tea to do it! It tastes sweet and is my absolute favorite!

★★★☆☆

A strong earthy smell and taste was present in this one. I couldn’t discern hazelnut or strawberry around the earthiness. This is the first tea of this type I’ve tried. It may just be I don’t care for pu-erh?

This is a little chocolate-y, a little nutty. Very enjoyable, and somewhat sweet.

It’s such a smooth and nutty tea! I love the hazelnut flavor combined with the Pur-Erh tea.

This is my favorite flavored pu erh so far!  I have a delicious sample pouch of this courtesy of Elizabeth R. that I'm slowly working through (I save this for days when I need/want a high caff treat!), and am glad for a chance to review it!  The richness of the pu erh really works well with this flavor combination, which I have to add was even better than I expected when I first tried it.  This tea smells heavenly dry, and tastes heavenly in the cup!  I like it with a little honey, and it's great with or without creamer.  I usually add vanilla almond milk.  (Since this is a pu erh, I usually do a 15 second steep, check the water for low tide aromas, and then toss the water or keep based on the smell.  For this, tea, I've never had to toss the rinse, and can just keep on steeping.)

This was a mellow Pu-erh. My first cup I tried without doing a rinse and although there was a slightly earthy flavor the berries were the front runner. The hazelnut was hiding a little in the back along with the earthy flavors.

The hazelnut and cocoa flavors were apparent as soon as I opened the communitea packet this morning. I didn't smell any strawberry, and didn't taste any either once I'd made the tea. The combination of hazelnut and cream was smooth and nutty, with a hint of sweetness that could be attributed to fruit. While I didn't get any strong fruit flavor it might be because I didn't happen to get any strawberry pieces in the little packet. This is going on my wish list for sure!

Brewed 212F for 5 minutes with brown sugar added
This tea was rather delicious. I ended up brewing it twice. Round one was a a little too strong bodied for me so I ended up adding milk to. The result gave a nice strawberries and crème effect. Round two was less heavy on the pu-erh and allowed the fruit and crème notes to really come forward so I drank that with only the brown sugar. Even without the milk for round two, I was still given that delicious strawberries and crème flavor. This definitely a tea that I would love to purchase in the future!

This one tasted a bit funky, even after a rinse. I had no strawberry or chocolate taste. I honestly don't know how pu-erh tea or hazelnut flavor taste but I imagine one of those is the flavor shining through in my cup. I do know how the creme flavor tastes though and I do not like that one. I could smell it, but the flavor of it was barely there. My CommuniTEA packet today smelled awful and I considered not trying it, but it was surprisingly acceptable to drink. I tried resteeping it which resulted in a more pleasant cup. It lacked the flavors I thought were funky. I added some sugar and it was somewhat enjoyable. The resteep deserves a higher rating than the first try and a second resteep was pleasant as well with sugar, though a little weak. I didn't like the first cup but the resteeps were alright. I wouldn't buy this tea myself but I'd consider something that shares some of the same ingredients.

Delightful! Smooth, berry forward flavor with rich nutty fullness that fills in the initial flavors.

For how much I didn't like Pu-erh Dante I'm surprised I've liked all the flavored pu-erh's I've tried since, this one included. I did have some small strawberry bits, barely perceptible, in my CommuniTea packet, but I may toss in a few few freeze dried strawberries for the second steep.
I did a quick rinse (which I tossed), and carried on with the steep. When hot the earthy pu-erh mixes with the hazelnut flavors. As it warmed the strawberry came forward, helped along with a bit of sugar. Another good *flavored pu-erh.

Pu-erh hazelberry is surpassingly delicious! You’re greeted by the smoothest sip imaginable and delightful sweetness and strawberry immediately follows. A surprisingly robust, yet extraordinarily complimentary earth flavor lingers on the tongue. This stuff is seriously good and I’m adding it to my shopping cart.

I was so looking forward to this tea, since so many people think so highly of it. My packet had plenty of leaves but nothing else in it. I did a quick 15 second rinse (the rinse was consumed since it was fine), and brewed at 200 degrees for 4.5 minutes. I found the taste very earthy with a side of nuts. I got absolutely no strawberry or any other berry flavors or scents from this brew. I also had a lot of trouble finding chocolate notes, probably it was overshadowed by the earthiness of the pu ehr base. The hazelnut did come through, and was quietly in each sip alongside the earthy flavour. Although this cup tasted a little bit like dirt, it was a strange kind of pleasant dirt, the kind you sort of get from working a long sunny day in the garden. This tea was nice enough for a change, but it is not something I would reach for daily, and if I were in the mood for an earthy tea, I preferred the pu ehr chorange much more than this one.

Yum! Sweet strawberries and cream were the dominant flavors in my packet. Very decadent tea.

This was a delightful earthy Pu-erh tea that mainly smelled and tasted of strawberries. Upon opening the CommuniTEA packet today a sweet strawberry aroma emerged. There was a sprinkling of strawberry pieces and cocoa nibs found amongst the dark tea leaves in the tea mix. The hazelnuts were harder to see and may have been crushed or ground before being added.

The heavenly strawberry bouquet became more subdued and gave way to an earthy aroma when the tea was steeped at 204F for 5 minutes. Although I didn't do a customary Pu-erh tea rinse, I didn’t experience any fishy smell or flavor and the tea had no bitterness or notable astringency after brewing.

The taste of the tea upon first sip was gently earthy and strawberry flavored with a subtle creamy smoothness. As the tea cooled to warm, chocolate notes were detected with a light nutty taste upon the finish. A second steep of this tea was just as enjoyable as the first. I drank the first cup plain and added milk and tupelo honey to the second one. The dairy and sweetener adds gave the tea a richer strawberry flavor and gentled the earthiness of the Pu-erh. This was a very tasty and soothing tea and a nice way to visit Strawberry Fields on a cold winter's day.

Pouring out my CommuniTEA packet onto a napkin first to take inventory: I received no strawberry pieces or creme flavor chips at all and one large cocoa nib, so it’s no surprise I’m missing the flavors advertised. Pu-erh is new to me. Per member advice I did a rinse and I’m glad for it as that steep water was in fact very fishy! My actual steep was 5min at 212F. At first I tasted nothing. Strange. Again and again while hot, nothing. I let my cup cool a bit. When warm it smelled and tasted only like hazelnut. When completely cool there was an added mustiness to the hazelnut that I did not find pleasant. I imagine this might have been quite a different experience if strawberry pieces were present. Interesting that there was no astringency whatsoever with the pu-erh, though I’d have preferred that over the musty flavor and odor that developed.

This pureh doesnt have the foshyness to it that most do. The strawberry and cream flavors are pronounced and delightful

★★★★☆

I took advice of other reviewers with 15 second hot rinse before steeping to reduce usual fishiness of Pu Erh. This is so yummy! I love hazelnut love strawberry this is delish with touch of honey to bring out fruit flavors and splash of cream. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA January Box.

Today's Communitea was quite enjoyable. Very earthy and nutty though I wasn't really picking up on the strawberry. I would definitely like to try this tea again

★★★★★

This was great! The tea equivalent of an ice cream sundae with scoops of strawberry and chocolate ice creams, loaded with whipped cream, and sprinkled with chopped hazelnuts. At once creamy and not overly bitter, strawberry just outwinning the chocolate for the most predominant flavor. The hazelnut is noticeable but is just a backround character to support the ice cream goodness. Excellent!

I love hazelnut and strawberry, and wanted to love this tea, but didn't. The pu-erh base, while smooth, tasted too much of damp earth for my liking. The first steep had mild hazelnut and strawberry flavors which were pleasant, but they were completely gone in the second steep. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 5 min @ 200F)

Beautifully blended. I never expected pu-erh and strawberries go well this much! Slight bitterness of cacao nibs support it. Also nutty aftertaste is very nice. Moreish.

I rinsed this just because I didn't want to have to bring a fishy cup of tea in my car and be stuck with it. I steeped at 195 for 4 min 30 sec hoping that too would somehow help. ( I generally do not like Pu-erh teas.) I added 1/2 tsp of Monkfruit sweetener. The second steep was for 5 min and I also added a splash of heavy whipping cream. I preferred the second steep. This is meh for me. I think what allowed for four stars instead of 3 was the strawberry and hazelnut, not the tea itself.

This was a fun blend! Opening the packet, the tea smelled almost like coco puffs cereal. There were a couple of strawberry pieces in the packet. Brewed at 200 degrees for 3 minutes the aroma of hazelnut, chocolate, and strawberry smell wafted from the cup. A beautiful, almost rose gold color was produced. Adding a touch of cream and sugar brought forth a light fruity flavor wrapped up in the nutty chocolate blend. This was a delicious blend!

The dark tea made the taste very bold but too bold and blocked out the berry taste it supposedly had to it. Very disappointed - a green tea drinker

This is a mixed bag for me as I like pu-erh and strawberry but dislike hazelnut and chocolate in tea. Though I can see why people rave about this blend, especially if they love all the flavors.

Strawberry and hazelnut waft off of the dry tea, making a sweet and rich aroma. I did do a 15sec rinse, though more on a whim rather than necessity. The pu-erh provides a strong earthy base to the brewed tea, tasting almost a little gritty and dirty. The flavors of strawberry, hazelnut, and creme are much more present in the smell than in the taste. There's still a berry sweetness that comes through, with a smoothness provided by the creme. Sometimes I get a slight dark cocoa bitterness. The hazelnut is mostly lost in the nutty earth flavor of pu-erh, which is fine by me.

There are other pu-erhs out there for me, but for anyone who enjoys all the flavors this one is surely a winner.

Part of the January 2021 CommuniTEA box. The hazelnut gives it a toasty quality, and the strawberry sweetens the deal. It’s almost Valentine’s Day in a cup!

Through my CommuniTEA membership I have discovered I am a lover of Pu-Erh teas, and this tea is no exception. I found this tea to be very smooth and balanced without bitterness. The aroma is very nice and there is just a touch of strawberry and cocoa notes in the back.

The tea smells earthy and strawberry-ish. I gave it a quick hot rinse and once brewed the hazel nuts made their appearance with the berry in the background. This is a tea that has many layers of flavor.

I loved this tea! Great blend of flavors. The taste of strawberry, cocoa, hazelnut and creme are perfect.

I don't care for hazelnut, but this was a lovely balance. No fishy smell from the CommuniTEA packet was a nice change from previous pu-erh teas and this has a really nice strawberry aftertaste which was unexpected. I probably wouldn't purchase this, but credit where it's due, this was pretty good.

I’ve bought this tea for others multiple times, but this is the first time I’m trying it myself. The hazelnut gives a deep, grounded flavor, while the berry tickles with some sweetness. A nice combo, and a nice addition to an afternoon of reading.

I received this as part of the CommuniTEA. I am really enjoying the mix of hazelnut, chocolate, and strawberry. I can taste each flavor well. When I smelled the packet dry and after my 1st steep, I could smell something 'off' about this. Not really fishy as others have experienced. Just earthy like dirt. I could still smell it while the tea was very hot. That smell has gone away completely now that the tea has cooled. I don't taste it, which is good. The flavors were much more pronounced as the tea cooled, especially the strawberry. This tastes wonderful with a few drops of monk fruit and some milk. A tasty treat.

This one sounded and smelled delightful. I love hazelnut! I’m just not tasting it. Or strawberry. The tea is still OK, but I wanted to taste those flavors, not just the tea. I did a quick (5 sec) rinse with hot water based on other reviews and advice, then steeped for 5 minutes. Both first and second steeps tasted about the same. Tried adding honey to bring out flavors but then it just tasted like pu-erh tea with honey. Not sure if I’m missing something.

I think pu-erh is something that you either love or hate. For me, nothing makes the flavor any better--not rinsing, not adding other flavors, nothing. Even though the strawberry and cocoa nibs sounded delicious, they can't offset that pu-erh taste and smell.

★★★☆☆

In the bag, it's smell hazelnut and strawberries with chocolate and cream. At taste, it's delicate and I taste more puerh than the ingredients and the creamy texture is not there. I like puerh but I would have liked to taste the berries a little more than what I am currently tasting. (5 minutes @ 95°c; CommuniTEA Jan. 2021)

Today’s communiTea is a Pu-erh tea, yea! Hazleberry? oh goodness this tea smells absolutely amazing, it’s making me impatient, as I watch it steep into a pretty caramel color. A side note, a 30 sec rinse then begin my 1st steep, something I always do with, my favorite, pu-era tea. Finally my first sip, yum earthy pu-erh and a delicious smooth nutty taste. Hello hazleberry, you blend in perfectly with hints of strawberries popping in my cup at times, only flavor that over slept this morning seemed to be the Cocoa? Sipping on its own, hot, found myself going “mmmm” after each sip. But drinkers beware, do not let Cool down, cuz even after a rinse, even 2nd steep, when cooled a faint fishy taste and smell seems to sneak in your cuppa tea. Loved it, maybe a new staple in my tea drawer. (Steeped 4mins @ 200F)

I found the strawberry flavor of this tea to be a little synthetic tasting. Combined with earthy grain like flavor of the Pu-ERH it ended up tasting like a strawberry yogurt cereal bar. Not really what I'm looking for in a cup of tea
