Pu-Erh Hazelberry has become my go-to tea when I need a cup that truly satisfies. You really wouldnt imagine that the earthy, unique flavor of pu-erh would make for a good base for a flavored tea but it is perfect for this unusual combination of flavors. The sip starts with heavy notes of cream with nutty undertones and it ends with tart strawberry. It reminds me of strawberry ice cream in a waffle cone.

When it is dry, you can smell the hazelnut with just a hint of strawberry in the background. Wet, it can be a little fishy but a rinse takes care of that.

Overall, this tea is absolutely bomb. I reach for pu-erh hazelberry every morning because of how delicious it is and the kick of energy it provides.

Even if you dont like pu-erh, you HAVE to try this blend! You will be pleasantly surprised.

Of the Pu-erh flavors I ve sampled, this one is my favorite so far. Flavorful and rich, and with milk added brings out a mellow sweetness and creamy texture.

This is one of my boyfriend’s favorites! A tasty fruity tea with a hint of hazelnut.

★★★★★

This has become my favorite tea ever, forever, ever! I like it best with some milk, no sweetener. The fruit flavor is mild but tangible, and it makes the most perfect cup of tea for the morning.

I love this tea. Smells like cake batter and tastes like strawberry cake.

This was my gateway to pu’erh, and it’s nice. It has the full-bodied, earthy flavor of pu’erh with a lighter fruity and nutty, a hint of cocoa and cream component that dovetails nicely into the flavor profile. Very enjoyable, especially on a chilly day.

The Pu-erh tea is very earthy, and is supported by the strawberry and hazelnut flavors in the first steep. A second steep highlights the pu-erh in the cup, where the strawberry flavor is more of an afternote after its supporting role in the first steep, but there is still some hazelnut married with the pu-erh. A third steep was just the earthy and full bodied pu-erh flavors, and was the last steep for me. It is a delicious journey. I also just love the flavor of this tea, even in blends.

Very good, smooth, earthy taste. Wish they sold it in a larger size!

★★★☆☆

This one seemed kind of bland to me. I didn't taste more than a faint hint of strawberry or hazelnut, and the entire flavor seemed somewhat watered down. I used the same amount of tea as I always do, so maybe this one needs more for the same size cup? (But I got the sample packet, so I only had a few tries with it, and I'm not interested in getting it again to keep testing.)

This tea is unique and kind of addictive! The fruit-and-nut combination works well and complements the pu-erh.

When you open the tea container, the scent of chocolate, strawberries, and nuts permeates the air. Brewed, there's a smooth, earthy taste that brings more to mind the cocoa nibs, the hazelnut flavor, and the creme flavor rather than the strawberry.

The second steeping is a little thinner on the taste but otherwise tastes the same.

A very pleasurable cup!

Another favorite blend.
The first tea I tried and it is my everyday go to.

This is pretty good stuff, I like to mix it with the strawberry black tea or tiramisu tea. It could use a little more berry in the hazelberry flavor but I add freeze dried strawberry or wild strawberry to it and it's perfect.

This by far one of my most favorite teas. Simple, flavorful, and comforting.

One of my favorite teas. Mellow but flavorful, and a bit sweet. I usually add a little sugar, too. Plus you can steep it for a LONG time and it still comes out great!

Oh my gosh I love this tea so much. I wish it were decaf so I could have it at night. I m so much ordering this again.

★★★★★

This is a lovely blend - smooth and sweet that goes great as a morning or evening tea! Creamy and just a tad of fruit flavor.

★★★★☆

It s still pretty earthy, but the added flavors do really balance it out.

I’m not a huge fan of this blend. I’ve brewed it a different temps and I’m still not wowed by this blend.

I decided to try this because the flavors seemed right up my alley... and, as expected, this is absolutely delicious. This is a beautiful mix of fruity, nutty, and creamy flavors that tastes amazing with a few rock sugar crystals. I'm sure it would taste nice with a bit of milk, as well.

This is my absolute favorite tea. The earthiness of the pu-erh balances out the berry flavors, making it both sweet and mellow.

I love how the Strawberry plays in the finish of the tea, while the earthy notes of the Pu-Erh play through. No sugar or Cream needed fo me. I find the strawberry notes come through a bit more if I leave my tea bag in the cup a bit longer, but still does not get bitter.

It's a real nice black tea. The tea isn't over powered by the other flavors, which are just enough to make me smile.

This was my first taste of Pu-Erh, aaand I was not a fan :( I can't give the greatest of takes on this tea as I think I just don't like Pu-Erh.

★★★★☆

It's a very nice tea. So far I have only been brewing it according to included directions, which gives me a result that tastes mainly of the Pu-Erh with an aftertaste of nuttiness. I Will definitely experiment to see if I can bring out the fruitier notes of the blend.

I had no idea what to expect from this tea, I got it for my husband but it is a great combination of chocolatey and fruity.

I really love the smell and smooth hint of sweetness of this tea

What an amazing combination of flavors. The earthiness of the puerh works well with the nutty hazelnut. The strawberry adds a sweet, fruity tone. One of my favorite puerhs!

★★☆☆☆

I tried the sample size of this and I was not impressed. I did not do a rinse and drank the first cup to try and get all flavors. I tasted hazelnut and Pu-ehr that was about it. No strawberry, no cream, cocoa flavors presented themselves. I am trying to find a Pu-ehr tea that I can tolerate and like on its own, as I do not like adding sugar or cream to beneficial teas. Hence, the reason I buy the teas. I guess I will have to keep looking.

Love this tea! It was delicious. Have never had a Pu-Erh before this one. Fortunately it did not need to be rinsed before the first steep, otherwise I may not have enjoyed it so much!

I don t get much berry flavor but just the Pu-erh mixed with hazelnut flavor is enough to make me love this.

★★★★★

This is an amazing, well balanced tea. All the flavors work very well together, I would highly recommend it! I had not had Pu-Erh tea often, and have started trying more because of how much I enjoyed this one.

★★★★★

Absolutely love this blend. It has an aroma which reminds me of black rice and has hints of the same flavor. It's a little nutty, mild in intensity yet robust in flavor. So far this is my favorite.

★★★★★

I've never tried pu-erh tea before this. Immediately upon opening the sample bag, I could smell a slight 'fishy' smell in amongst the sweet hazelnut and berry and woody smells. I still didnt rinse though because I wanted to preserve the flavors. And also I was curious how it would affect the overall flavor as I'm not that picky with darker teas and like to try new things.

Since I read that pu erh is fine to oversteep, I let it stay in my cup without timing until it cooled down enough to drink. (Not that it got cold, but cool enough it doesn't burn my tongue when drinking)

It was good, but not great, to me. The fishy smell did translate over into the flavor somewhat, but it wasn't enough for me to dislike it. I had somewhat expected this, and the complements of the hazelberry flavor helped.

Overall, this tea is decent but not going to be the first I reach for in my stash. However, I intend to experiment with it in the future when i get in the mood. (I want to try creams and sweeteners, rinsing, different steeping temps and times, ect). Will update my review then.

Update: after some experimenting, I do not like rinsing. As suspected many flavors went with the rinse. However, my tea seems a lot less 'fishy' now (maybe being exposed to the air?) and its grown on me immensely. Definitely reaching for this more now.

The earthy smoothness is a nice contrast to more common black teas. I would have preferred a stronger berry and cream flavours.

Strong hazelnut scent is the first thing I noticed from the communiTEA packet. Creme and pu-erh scents are also present. There are no pieces of strawberry in my blend, so I add two slices of freeze dried.

Steeped for 5 minutes at 212, the hot brew is strongly hazelnut with a slight hint of cacao. The berry flavor is not present despite my additions.

I put a slice a freeze-dried berry in my cup and it is a welcome addition to the nuttiness of the tea.

UPDATE: after learning a bit more about you, I complete 5-second hot rinse of this Pu-Erh before steeping. The more subtle flavors shine. It's excellent hot and iced.

i loved it 10/10 will stay in my favorites. I cant have sugar or like added sugar because of my diet so i just add some oat milk with this tea and its naturally sweet so its perfect for me. I personally don't think it needs any honey. This tea is heavenly. It's similar to like a strawberry milk flavor.
