This tea is certainly something of an acquired taste, and I must admit that I've not yet done the work of acquiring it. I can tell there is something more to it than I'm tasting, but for the moment, every time I catch a whiff of it, I cannot shake the impression of Crunch Berry cereal.
As good as the name implies. The aroma made my mouth water and then when I tasted the tea I just wanted to sit and relax with a whole pot.
I tried this again and I really like it. It brews up nice and dark. Great with milk. Very tasty. I will buy this again. MThis wasn't exactly what I thought it would be. It was a bit nutty and had good flavor though.
We recently purchased this tea for the first time. It has a very nice sweet flavor, different than most of the other Adagio berry teas. The flavor is mild yet distinct. It sort of has a similar taste to strawberry cereal.
Good alternative to the orange pu erh which I like as well.
Hazelberry has quickly become my favorite of the pu erh teas I've tried so far! Known at work as my 'strawberries and cream tea', just the tiniest touch of cream makes this tea taste like a decadent dessert. It's very sweet to begin with, and I found adding honey made it too sweet for me, so I stick to cream or drink it plain.
I can truly say I find my 'happy place' in a cup of hazelberry--I can't get enough!
For a first order and with being new to the tea drinking world, this was an incredible option. I am currently drinking 3-5 cups/ morning and am absolutely loving it! Inspired by Tim Ferris, I'd have to say this was a great kick-start into a new obsession.
This tea was not for me, admittedly I stepped out of my comfort zone to try this one, but it was much too bitter for my liking.
I don't love the fruit tones in this one. i'm more of a straight pu-erh fan.
Surprisingly light for pu erh- nice and fruity! Perfect with a bit of sugar.
UPDATE: Use honey NOT sugar! Honey turns this into the loveliest cup of tea but sugar really makes the strawberry flavor taste over bearing and completely fake. END UPDATE.
Easily my favorite tea from Adagio right now! I don't taste much of the fruity strawberry, the hazel nut is way more noticeable. A little bit of honey, and this is my staple go to.
This was the first Adagio Pu-Erh blend I tried-wasn't quite taken with it at first, but the nuttiness of the blend grew on me.

This is one of my absolute favourite teas. It's very deep/mellow tasting. It's strong, but in a way that reminds me of a campfire or chestnut rather than something perfume-y. I highly recommend!

A sweet and richly earthy smooth tea that really comes through in the hazelnut taste, but for me not so much the strawberry. Only a slight aftertaste of it but it's still an extremely enjoyable tea and I would buy it again.
This is an excellent tea when one needs a special treat.

fruity flavor is apparent in only the first steep, and always overshadowed by a nutty/chocolaty-ness. I found this wonderful, but don't expect this tea to be fruity tasting.

This tea has a flavor that i believe people refer to as 'plush'. It's deeply earthy and woodsy, with just the faintest hint of strawberries while in the mouth, and leaves a wonderful strawberries-and-cream flavor on the palette. As the tea cools the earthy flavor is subdued and a bold hazelnut flavor comes through. The scent in the bag is extremely different and may be overwhelming to someone who's never tried this before, but it tastes just absolutely splendid.
Fantastic flavor and my favorite, so far. Actually reminds me of a breakfast cereal from my childhood.
A really lovely, smooth tea. I've never had any problems with it getting bitter even when I've accidentally steeped it too long. The hazelnut and berry flavors don't taste artificial at all and aren't overpowering.

I really loved this tea. Flavored pu erh can be so tricky. This one is very tasty. I don't actually taste any of the fishiness that is often found as an aspect of this kind of tea. It doesn't go bitter with long steeps, either. Definitely my favorite flavored pu erh.

I LOVE this tea. The pu erh's are like the malbecs of teas. It's incredible. There's a substance to it and when you add a little bit of honey, my goodness, it's almost a buttery richness that I cannot stop eating. I have stocked up on the large bags of this one, that's for sure! This is my favorite of the pu erhs. I have at least 4 cups a day, not going to lie.
I love any kind of Pu Erh tea and the Hazelberry is no exception. Finally a hazelnut tea that is not overpowered by the nut. Very tasty, rich and sweet. I like brewing this with Pu Erh Danta or Poe for a really rich cup of tea! Love this!

This was a tea that grew on me as I don't really like fruity teas. It is a nice tea, not too fruity, not too nutty. The flavors blend very well to give it a unique flavor entirely its own.
I brewed this and the aroma filled my kitchen. It tastes even better than it smells, and suddenly just like that, this is my new favorite tea. Very smooth and comforting on a cold day. Just a pinch of a few amber sugar crystals, though it doesn't even need sweetener. You can taste the chocolate and the strawberries, then it finishes with a nice nutty flavor. Perfect!

I fell in love with this tea when I got the Pu Erh sampler. Back then, I could only really taste the strawberry and cream. I have no idea how I missed the hazelnut flavor, but I can certainly taste it now - it works nicely with the hint of strawberry. I drink a couple cups of this almost every morning before work.
I've been able to steep this tea as much as three or four times, although after the third or fourth time the strawberry flavor is much less noticeable. Initially, my second steeping was always better than the first, but then I stumbled across a tip that helped give me a great first cup every time. Just add a bit of boiling water to the leaves and let it sit for 40 or so seconds. Then drain that water and steep the tea for real for about 5 minutes - the result is a much smoother first cup.
This is a very good tea. It's smooth and creamy with a nice blend of flavors. I wish the cream flavor was reduced just slightly though to allow the hazelnut and strawberry flavors to come through more.
This is my favorite pu-ehr flavored tea. I just bought the biggest bag! It smells like cookies and has all the usual attributes of fine pu-ehr--no bitterness, great with milk, good on your stomach, especially if you are feeling 'off'. The best.

Not a fan of the taste what-so-ever. I can't seem to pin point exactly what I don't like, but I could not even swallow this tea. Same great adagio quality tho...just not a fan of this flavor.

I'll be honest. I've had pu-erh before and I only ordered this to show some of my friends how bad pu-erh can be. Even if you enjoy pu-erh, let me steer you away from hazelberry. It tastes like rotten Cap'n Crunch berries, mixed with the extremely dirty taste of pu-erh. If it's your cup of tea, that's fine, but it for sure isn't mine.
