(update) I brewed this tea for about 6 and a half minutes, and really enjoyed the flavor of the tea compared to five minutes. I also prefer it with white sugar over the other sweetener alternatives.
I had been wanting to pick this tea up and just hadn't gotten around to it. It just arrived today and smell of the tea was ok. I have an Adagio tea brewer so I set it to the black setting and made two cups for me. I'm currently out of half and half, and initially added just some Agave syrup. I actually didn't care too much for the taste of the tea till I added more sugar and the tastes really came out of the tea. I would recommend, but not to a new tea drinker. The taste is different from most teas, but I think this could grow on me.
When I drank my first cup of this, I thought so-so and went about my day. I later found myself craving it. After several more test cups, it's now a favorite.
I consider myself a tea connoisseur, but I cannot stand Pu Erh teas... They have a VERY earthy flavor that makes me gag...
What is there not to love about pu erh teas? It is smokey and sweet and jam packed with flavor!
Mixed with the Cherry Green Tea, interesting combo, but tasted very good.
I didn't taste any berry flavor. That was disappointing. The pu erh was mellow and the hazelnut reminded me of coffee. I will not order this again, but if it were offered to me at someone's home I would drink it.
Pleasantly cheerful, with a lovely aroma. Enjoyed on its own with no added sweetener, as well as with a little honey.

This is one of those teas that grew on me over time. I think the pu erh taste, being new to me, was a bit overwhelming at first and I didn't brew it to its best flavor the first time I tried it. But, adding a touch of honey and a slight hint of cream brings out the lovely strawberry and hazelnut flavor. Once I learned how to brew it in a way I like, it goes down quite smoothly. If you're not a fan of hazelnut, I wouldn't recommend it.
Wasn't crazy about this one to begin with,but after hearing a friend rave about it, gave it a second chance. Hazelnut and strawberries against an earthy pu erh base. If you're looking for a gateway pu erh flavor, try this one!
I liked this tea, but I don't drink very many teas that have caffeine. It has a nice smooth flavor. I was amazing at how good this tasted. I want more
Love this one! Often have a cup for 'dessert', but it's just as nice on a Saturday afternoon. Wonderful in late winter and early spring. Really good balance of sweet and earthy, and like all of Adagio's great teas, it doesn't need a single thing added to it (sugar or milk) to taste just right.
Reminds me of breakfast cereal. I was not initially a fan but grew to enjoy this.
This is one I got as a sampler, and am definitely coming back to buy more. Its a sort of warm-and-fuzzy tea, with the hazelnut, and the berry flavor adds a sort of happy note to it, too. I really loved this one.
I was surprised by this tea. I was not sure if I would like the pu erh tea since I am not a fan of earthiness but this is quite good.

This was my first experience with pu erh and it was earthier than I'm accustomed to. It was an interesting enough blend, though, that I would like to continue tasting more pu erh's.

Rinsed it then steeped until a nice color. I like it. Good tea for deep thoughts.
EDIT: I tried again with one teaspoon and a real quick rinse to get the heavy heavies out of th way. Then maybe 2 minutes 2 and a half. Add a measured teaspoon of sugar to the liquor and you're almost in coffeetown. Like a latte or a fancy $4 cup of coffee for the price of a $3 sample pack. Once I run out I'll probably miss it.

I like the strawberry flavor, I just don't think puerh teas are my thing. I'm a fan of black tea, but the puerh has a funny flavor to me.
Now that pu'erh has finally grown on me, I am OBSESSED with this one. Reminds me of captain crunch, without the carbs, sugar, or calories. Perfect in the morning! I like to steep mine at least 5 minutes, but the longer the better in my opinion.

Excuse the cheesy pun, but this just wasn't my 'cup of tea'. The hazelnut smell and flavor did come out rather well, but it felt like an odd combination with the Pu Erh. My mom loved it though so I gave my sampler to her.
Earthy, colm and sturdy. Has an assertive charachter. Great with a meety meal. Right choice to impress your guests. Try, if you didnt try it yet!
Unusual, even assertive taste that is not easy to understand. I want hunt you to make another sip. But if you force yourself a bit to continue drinking this tea, it will get more and more pleasant. Patiance is the key here.

An instant new favorite! The hazelnut and berry flavors are a perfect combination. not overpowering at all, just delicious, and the pu-erh is still dark and smooth beneath them. Wonderful with a bit of honey.
Tastes almost like strawberry cereal. Very good in the morning.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this tea. I have had regular pu erh's in the past and they tasted like dirt to me. The leaves have a nice scent to them and the flavoring is not overbearing or ridiculously artificial. When i brewed it though, it is the darkest tea I've ever seen, my kettle was literally black. I added some almondmilk and a bit of sugar. I'm glad I picked this as my free sample when I ordered!
I'm not a fan of pu erh, but I have friends who absolutely love this tea.
This was my first experience with pu'erh tea and. . . I discovered it is my kind of tea! Rich and dark without any bitterness. The hazelberry gave it a little extra punch of flavor that I wasn't really expecting. I have already placed my second order and plan on enjoying many more cups of this pu'erh.
This tea is delightful with just a hint of sweetness from the berries. It's great with just a splash of milk and honey.

Since I really love the earthy taste of 'unflavored' pu erh, I wasn't sure I would like this. Because it had a higher rating than the Pu Erh Dante, I gave it a try.
I do like it very much, but prefer the Dante. The tea holds up well to a full 5 minute steeping. Bottom line, I think I am just not a huge fan of flavors other than tea in my tea.

A very tasty tea! I prefer the pu erh chorange and find that to be more flavorful than this variety. It is still nice with more subtly sweetness.
If you never tried pu'erh tea before, this may not be for you (but it can be a good starter) since there is that earthy flavor. However, I love this tea and it is quite smooth with with a fruity flavor. On a second steep the nuttiness really comes out.
Probably one of the best complimentary teas I've ever tasted. Great to mix with black teas for a slightly nutty taste that lingers on the tongue with a sweet aroma. Perfect by itself as well with light or heavy sweatner.
Not my favorite pu erh on here - that honor goes to the chorange - but definitely solid. Honestly, if I hadn't tried the chorange first I'd have given this full marks. Earthy, peet-y, pu erh goodness! I don't like to let it steep too long, but if you do, it literally never gets bitter. Amazing.
I really did not like this tea. It reminds me of mushrooms. And I hate mushrooms So those who like like that,then this is the tea for you.
I was drinking lots of tea a few years back after deciding to switch from coffee. I'm switching again from coffee-to-tea, so I purchased several differnt teas from Adagio. For me, I now recall I am simply not a pu 'erh tea drinker. Just could not get this one past my lips...tried several times. The only thing I could smell or taste is something akin to dirt...like mud. Do not like it one bit.
I regret just getting the sample size with this one!
I loved the pu erh chocorange. Sadly it was unavailable last time I ordered. I decided to try the pu erh hazelberry and am very pleased. Now I can't decide which is my favorite.

So far, i'm addicted, i drink it both ways, with sugar and milk and just black. Either way, this tea is just wonderful and the aroma is gorgeous!
