It s like a more earthy version of one of those chocolate oranges they sell around the holidays.
Rich chocolate and sweet orange with pu erh for a festive treat.

This is a wonderful tea and the orange and chocolate flavors are blended perfectly so one does not overpower the other.
I’ve tried this tea multiple times and in multiple preparations, but I have to point blank say: I have trouble telling the difference between this and normal Pu Erh. The Pu Erh taste comes through so strong for me, that both the chocolate and the orange are mere background notes if I can taste them at all. The chocolate I taste more times than the orange, but neither are strong for me.
The Pu Erh tastes wonderful itself, but if I wanted just that, I would be better off just ordering that.
This tea is very strange imo. Not my particular cup of tea
I really liked the chocolate and orange flavors together!
I definitely get all of the individual flavors whilst drinking this tea. They just don't work together as well as I was hoping. Still good
This tea has a chocolatey flavor with a hint of citrus. It is very unique and tasty!
This is really enjoyable, and goes well with orange black tea which it needs for that extra orange kick. Otherwise it's great to mix with other teas like pu-erh spice or blood orange.
Not my favorite pu-erh. The orange just didn't quite cut it for me, but it still good.
Pu Erh tea in itself is an earthy smooth tea, but add orange and a dark chocolate to it, and kazow! So pleasing and just the right blend balance of each that neither overcomes the other. Soothing and almost indulgent in taste. Make the chorange!
I need to maybe update my review after a second steep. I am just slightly disappointed it didn't have mire orange notes to it, but overall it's a very nice blend
Update: so this has grown on me, and I'm finding I really enjoy the subtle orange. I also brewed it a bit longer at a lower temp, after rinsing the leaves
Really nice! I m a recent convert to Pu-erh. The chocolate-orange combo is lovely here, and makes the pu-erh taste positively indulgent.
These flavors did fade considerably on second and third steepings.
This is a lovely combination! It features the rich flavor of the pu-erh and sweetened up with well-balanced chocolate and orange flavors. Great for multiple steepings and a nice treat.
One of my favorites. Love the Orange chocolate flavor
I love this tea although I wish it had a tad bit more orange. I decided to order another bag, l like it so much. Two more bags later and I found myself addicted to the creamy chocolate.
Pu-erh teas can be very overwhelming, however the orange and chocolate flavours made this tea really pleasant! This isn't a delicately flavoured tea compared to something like the butterscotch tea, so if you're really craving something desserty and strong this is your tea. If you're a fan of those chocolate covered orange jelly sticks, you'll love this as the flavour is nearly spot on.
An instant new favorite. The chocolate and orange blend seamlessly to create an entirely fresh mouthful experience. It's warm, cozy, rich, and fruity-sweet with darker, chocolatey notes (but without being discernably orange OR chocolate!). It's like I'm 'treating myself' every time I steep this one. Neither bitter, nor smoky, nor astringent. Simply agreeable, easy-going, and absolutely delightful. I will absolutely be getting a refill the moment my sample size runs dry (which, at the rate I'm going, will be in just 48 hours).
This was absolutely delightful for an afternoon refreshment. A very nice treat!
As a pu-erh, this is just okay. But as a blend, if you like this sort of chocolate/orange thing, it's very good.
This is so tasty. It's chocolaty, but the orange really lightens it up and I could drink it all day if it wasn't so high in caffeine.
Love the smoothness of this one with a hint of chocolate and orange. A great holiday drink.
This tea is amazing. It totally shattered what I thought tea was. This tastes very different from the traditionally popular teas. It has a very bold taste up front, definitely akin to that popular candy, and has a medicinal kind of aftertaste that is common in roobis teas. I am not a fan of most roobis teas, but love this stuff.
It honestly tastes like an Orange Tootsie Pop, between the orange peel flavour and cocoa nibs/chocolate flavouring. Interesting, to say the least.
This tea has such a distinct taste. It almost reminds of those little chocolate pieces from my childhood that tasted like an orange. It is a nice tea, but a little goes a long way when steeping.
Don’t like this much. It is sitting in the cupboard.
You know those Terry's chocolate oranges? Imagine one of those dissolved into a mushroom tea. This Pu-Erh has that earthy umami of mushrooms they're known for, but that doesn't detract in any way from the decadence of the chocolate and orange flavors. Instead, it grounds the confectionary flavors, providing a much-needed balance.
This is another one of Adagio's delightful, decadent dessert teas that I can't get enough of. Highly recommend, especially if you're new to Pu-Erhs and want a sweet way to ease yourself into what can be an acquired taste.
I'd never had pu-erh before, it's like a cross between black and oolong tea? This blend was exquisite and tasted just like those chocolate oranges with the blue foil wrapping I remember from my childhood.
I think most other reviews cover it well, and I can agree. I add milk which brings out the chocolate sweetness and creamy texture without needed additional sweetener.
This was such an enjoyable tea this morning, it reminded me of the orange dark chocolate balls that I normally only have at Christmas time. The flavors were well balanced with the earthy pu-ehr in the background, the smooth chocolate and the tang of the oranges. This tea is going on my favorites list.
Not bad, but the flavor is not as intense as the Pu-Erh Hazelberry tea. That one will remain my go-to pu-erh tea.
UPDATE: Maybe my water was not hot enough or I didn't steep long enough, but subsequent cups of this tea were phenomenal. Nice chocolate flavor, a good after-dinner tea to substitute for dessert.
The flavors of the chocolate and orange are mild and work well together with the pu-erh. I like it.
Discovered this in the 2020 Advent Calendar for Day 5, and immediately repurchased it. Reminds me of a dark chocolate orange.
The smell of this tea is overwhelmingly orange, which worried me at first. Once brewed, the pu-erh mellows out the orange and the chocolate comes through to create a perfect balance of orange and chocolate, where both flavors are equally noticeable.
A new all-time favorite! Chocolate orange earthiness is absolutely perfect in the morning. I love the rich full flavors of this tea. I typically rinse for 20 seconds first.
Was a little weird 😁 I didn’t really have an opinion on it but I needed to do a review
I love the chocolate and orange together. One of my favorites!!
I love this tea. Very bold pu-erh smell and flavor. Great on a cold night to warm up.
subtle chocolate orange. This tea has delightful flavor
The flavors and I weren't a big match. The quality of the tea is good, but I wasn't a huge fan of how the chocolate, orange, and strength of the pu-erh blended together.
This unique tea nicely balanced the chocolate and orange flavors which are tied together by the puerh. I was very pleasantly surprised and this is now part of my regular tea rotation.
Lovely, I liked it with just a touch of sugar a the barest hint of cream in the morning.
Earthy with a bit of sweetness. Compliments any food. This is a delicious, full-bodied tea.
First encountered as a tea in my Advent calendar and couldn't get it out of my head! Warm orange and chocolate notes when package is opened, with the aggressive earthiness of Pu-erh evident underneath. First steeping is a dark, deep brown, and tastes exactly like a Terry's Chocolate Orange. Two subsequent resteepings offered less in the way of chocolate, but a fair amount of orange. Am too much of a coward to try with milk and sugar because then I'll just drink it all day long.
I am greatly enjoying this tea! Not too chocolatey, very subtle flavors.
Really tasty tea, one of my favorites I've tried from Adagio! The orange isn't too overpowering but definitely there.
I tried this tea as a sampler. It was so good I ordered a bigger bag this time around. The tea has a great balance between the Pu-Erh, chocolate notes, and orange. Never bitter, and even it I let it cool down it still is a great tea to sip and enjoy. No sugar or cream needed for my palet
Oh man, AMAZING! I am obsessed with Pu'erh teas and this one is like desert. First sip a velvety chocolate then as I swallow the orange note hits my tongue. Every brew opens up new flavor notes. I have brewed the same leaves 4x so far.
The chocolate and orange are both a lighter flavor and are a great combination.
A rich earthy and slightly chocolate nip aroma dominate this one. Even though I can see the orange peel, I can’t really detect it in the smell, and it makes me a little sad, I was looking for the little bit of bright citrus notes.
I kept the brewing a little lower than the recommended temp, and maybe this why the citrus wasn’t that present? I’m not sure how forgiving pu-erh is in brewing temps, and I’ll give it a try at the 212° on the next run just to see.. but other than the missing citrus it’s a great blend. The chocolate and earthiness blended well, maybe even a better than with the chocolate chai pu-erh blend. It’s smooth and rich, and very easy to drink. Have really enjoyed all the pu-erh blends I’ve tried (just have spice, dante, poe & the pearls to go). If I can figure out how to coax the orange out, this would great.
Love this tea! Deep rich flavor that reminds me of an Early Grey fusion of flavors.
