Citrus and chocolate pairing with a biscuit is great all day.
If I reached into my pocket to pull out a chocolate bar and got a cup of this, I'd be pleased. I did not however expect to drink a cup of chocolate so this was not me for. Otherwise a perfectly good cup of tea
This tea is delicious, but I'd like it to be stronger on its second steep. All of the Pu-erhs that I enjoy are strong well into their second and even third steeps. This one falls a little flat. The first cut is amazing though! Just a hint of fruit.
This is a new favorite. The pu-ehr is smooth and the flavors are delicious without being too cloying. Haven’t tried multiple steeps yet but looking forward to that.
Ordered the sample, finished it off, and ended up ordering another. This is a really great tea for winter, but I like it so much that I'm hoping to keep it on my shelf year 'round. If you like the chocolate oranges and pu-erh tea, you will definitely like this.
Pu-erh is a tea that I was a bit nervous about trying, but I really like this one with the flavor of orange. I love chocolate flavored teas, and I love citrus, so this was destined to be a winner!
I was expecting more flavor, but I couldn't detect any chocolate notes and the orange was barely present. It was just a bland cup of tea. I'll try again with a longer steep time and an extra pinch of tea.
Excellent tea with milk and honey and live the flavor. I drink it every morning and enjoy every drop. I highly recommend.
What else can you say except Pu-Erh. Some of the best tea in the world in my opinion. Starting to get scarce now for the real leaves so order soon and alot.
I have found out I love Pu-Erh! This one has added notes of orange to add some brightness! I am not sure how much I can taste the cornflower, but it sure is pretty!
This is a favorite in the house. We're on our third bag and will need more soon.

One of the best teas I’ve ever had. Great flavor, delicate.
This is and hazelberry are easily the most approachable for new pu-erh drinkers in my opinion, and the tastiest. I am personally picky about potential fishiness so I will rinse all pu-erh, though this will get the briefest of rinses so as not to lessen the chocolate/orange flavor. Because pu-erh is so smooth and earthy I find these flavors somewhat muted already and will add a few cocoa nibs and orange peel bits to the steep. I enjoy this but when looking for a punchier cup I would recommend Year of the Tiger (oolong-based, same profile with ginger).
Tried as a CommuniTEA sample. This was pretty good. I enjoyed the orange and didn't really pick up on the chocolate. I think I'd prefer this as a black tea since the pu-erh is a bit delicate for my liking.
The chocolate melds well with the earthiness of the pu-erh and there is some orange zest flavor that pops out. The pu-erh makes a nice base for this blend-- it's smooth and adds an extra dimension that compliments the orange and chocolate without overtaking them. Good for multiple steeps, though the orange notes fade after the first cup.
Love this! Smooth and earthy with cocoa flavor and a hint of orange. I enjoyed it plain but a touch of honey really made it fantastic...super soothing.
I gotta say since joining the communiTEA, Darjeeling has been my favorite, and Pu-erh is a very close second, this one really plays on the flavor of chocolate and orange nicely, I'm no blender but I think the taste has a lot to do with the tea being used.
Well, maybe it's trouble with pu-erh tea, which I'm still new to, or maybe it's the chocolate and orange, which I rarely like together... This was a definite no for me. The peat smell was strong in this tea and fought with the other strong odors and tastes. A loser the first time I tried it, and not one I'm likely to try a third time, I think, although I am a glutton for this kind of 'punishment' 😜
Nice smooth tea. Chocolate and orange did not overpower the tea. Nice after lunch tea. I agree flavors came alive once the tea cooled a bit.
Absolutely divine. Tastes like a Terry's chocolate orange. True dark chocolate and orange notes. Yum.
People raved about this tea long before I got to try it. I think expectations were too high. It just wasn't as much of either flavor as I wanted. It didn't help that Adagio released Year of the Tiger and that was exactly everything I wanted from this tea. This is bad, but it's not enough of ENOUGH if that makes sense. Now we just need Year of the Tiger made a permanent part of the collection...
This was the tea that began my infatuation with pu erh years ago. I still enjoy this orange chocolate blend. However, I do believe I got more chocolate than normal in my packet. The tea never let up on the chocolate flavor, not one sip. I kept waiting for orange to make her move, but it didn't happen until the cool down was well underway. Regardless, a cup of chocolate is not a bad thing!
This tea is a delicious and refreshing blend of pu-erh tea and orange peel. The pu-erh tea gives the tea a rich, earthy flavor, while the orange peel adds a sweet and citrusy note. The combination of these flavors is simply irresistible. I like it steeped at 190 degrees for 3-5 minutes. This brought out the best flavors of the tea without making it bitter and even better with honey or sugar.
Chocolate orange is such an unexpected but tasty flavor combo.
Look, I don't like fruit flavored chocolate of any kind. That being said, this tea smelled like it tasted chocolatey and orange. I can certainly understand the appeal of it. Good blend, not something I'd keep on hand.
Not a pu erh fan generally but this is nice. Chocolate and orange mixed with some subtle earthy notes from the pu erh base.
Such a great tea! The chocolate and orange flavors blend so nicely with the earthy notes of the pu’erh tea.
I'm hesitant about pu-erhs, but I LOVE chocolate and orange together, so I was looking forward to trying this one! Sure enough, I love it. There's no funkiness to this pu-erh, just a hint of clean soil to the smell and taste. It works well with the indulgent combo of chocolate and orange - especially when paired with a sweet clementine for breakfast!
I love chocolate and orange, so I was looking forward to this one, but the flavors fell short. It was a little bland.
Perhaps it is the packet I received. I could smell faint notes of chocolate, but I could not taste them. There are also no orange notes. The tea was mostly bland pu-erh.
Mmm chorange is one of my fave Christmas season teas. So much like cracking into a chocolate orange - without all the unneeded calories! And the pu-erh gives it an earthy depth that I really enjoy.
Huge 'All Things PuErh' Fan, here. I enjoy how the caffiene is a different experience with PuErh. A Choco-Orange Version treat of this awesome tea, we enjoyed today in the CT! ♾️✨️'s!
Pu-erh Chorange offers a bright citrus tea on the smooth, dark base of a subtle pu-erh. The orange flavor dominates the palate while the chocolate sits in the nose. Though I expected a richer chocolate flavor, I can see why this is a favorite with so many sippers as the chocolate is more of a suggestion thanks to the dark, smooth base of pu-erh. In fact, this brew is so smooth it's almost silky (but for the brightness of the orange), like an orange scented chocolate mousse. Were this not highly caffeinated, it would be an excellent dessert tea. But then, who's to say you can't have dessert for breakfast? (5 minutes @ 212F)
I really liked the balance of chocolate and orange in this tea. The orange had a nice brightness to it that contrasted with the more subtle richness of the chocolate, and I liked how this flavor combination combined with the earthiness of the pu-erh.
Out of the package, it the aroma was of dirt and chocolate - an interesting mix. After brewing, and adding a lot of sugar, it didn't get better.
The thought of chocolate and orange with pu erh is not something I would consider, but it is really great. The chocolate taste is subtle and avoids being cloying or bitter. The orange brightens up the cup and gives this tea a lot of depth. This may be a new favorite!
In the bag: About ⅔ of my packet is the thin, slightly twisted needles of dark brown pu erh. Plenty of blue and yellow streaks from the cornflowers. A few decent hunks of orange rind. A lone cocoa nib.
On the nose (pre-steep): As advertised, chocolate and orange are front and center. The chocolate is of the dark variety while the orange has a sweet, candied feel.
On the nose (post-steep): The wonder twins are still here, but have dialed back their volume. Chocolate is a touch more prominent than orange. Hint of dry hay.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): The flavor duo made it to my tongue, which is always appreciated in a flavored blend. The orange has lost the sugary, candied impression from pre-steep. No bitterness. No hint of hay that I smelled the prior step.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): Orange is the leading flavor and has returned to its candied incarnation.
Opinion: A stupendous tea! Easily one of my top five all-time favorites. Orange and dark chocolate were made for each other and the pu erh provides a complementary yet unimposing base. I prefer pu erh over ceylon as a base for flavored blacks to avoid the ever-present risk of bitterness.
Preparation: First steep 5 min, second steep 10 min. Both @ 195 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.
Updated from 9/3/22: Well, I don't love it as much as I did before, and I'm not sure what's different. It's just coming across very bland this time around. I did a single rinse, steeped for 5 min at 195º. The smell was there, but... I don't know, it's just 'blah' - not getting nearly the chocolate orange flavour I remember.
The orange flavor comes through strongly in this tea. I really like the earthy flavor of Pu-erh but it can upset my stomach if I drink too much. I was happy to enjoy a small pot of this and even did a second steep later in the day.
Delightful cup of tea. Cozy and warm. Great PU-ERH!!
Very good tea. Definitely something different but in a good way
I’m not usually a fan of sweet dessert teas, but this reminds me of the dark chocolate orange candies from a box of mixed chocolates.
Wow!!! Love this so much that I have shared it with family and friends❤️
An excellent, sweet blend of orange and chocolate flavors. Not so strong that it is overpowering, but not so subtle either that the flavor gets lost. Great for a tasty afternoon pick-me-up.
I enjoyed the smooth tea. It had a very subtle taste of chocolate and orange which made it a favorite of mine
Very delicious !! It has a wonderful orange flavor, and its very smooth. I have it sweetened and with some added halfhalf or milk. Most definitely will be purchasing again !!
Love this one, great pu-erh flavor with the unexpected touch of orange and the warmth and smoothness of chocolate. Great afternoon tea!
I'd never tried a Pu-Erh tea before, and the chocolate orange flavor combination is just perfect, and the aroma uplifts the taste! The tea itself is very smooth and not bitter at all. I can drink it unsweetened no problem, where I normally prefer a bit of sugar.
This is my 2nd order of this tea and it's really nice. Add some dark chocolate syrup and creamy oat milk for a decadent treat!
Loving the Pu-Erh teas. This one is good, but the orange is not really for me. I preferred the Dante, and Tropical varieties.
