This is excellent as far as an oolong. The quality and flavor are wonderful. This doesn't need sugar and is great hot or iced.
This is Wuyi is fantastic! It is not nearly as smokey as many oolongs, and is closer to green than black. This tea is neutral on the nose, but leaves a slightly nutty finish. I drink this tea everyday.
Smell is musty and mild with indistinct brown-leaf notes. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with only faint astringency on the finish. Flavor is moderately strong, dominated by same musty and brown-leaf notes but with citrus and floral overtones. Overall, a well-balanced brew, with an intriguing warming richness.
Happened to try this in a sampler I received a while ago and I've been drinking it ever since. Leaves smell great, tea smells great, tea tastes terrific.

I thought this Tea was ok. It was not strong enough and tasted like Wuyi. I think its under fermented for the style.
A bargain for the flavorful tea it produces. Makes a great alternative to my habitual greens.
Nice complex oolong flavor. Brews equally well the second time around for an energetic second cup of tea and Wuyi Tea may be helpful in losing weight, too!

I have mixed feelings about this tea. The 2005 version was heavenly, I loved it so much that I ordered a large bag of the 2006. The 2006 version wasn't as good, in fact it has taken me a year and a half to finish it off and I was so dissapointed that I haven't reordered. In fairness it wasn't all that bad, just didn't come close to the 2005 which I continue to yearn for. A real lesson in tea being like wine, the growing year makes a difference.
This was absolutely delicious but so pricy -- I only got two cups out of the sample.
Great flavor--- my first experience with wuyi and I am typically a coffee drinker! I will definitely order more when it is back in stock!

A smooth and multi-dimentional oolong that produces a light amber cup -- great sweetened or all on it's own -- I will be reordering when it becomes available again.

This tea has wonderful flavor, hot or cold. My husband is a little wary of 'gourmet teas,' and won't try anything that doesn't taste like black tea, but he loves this tea--he drinks a cup or two every day. It has a rich flavor and nice aroma.
Just like the teapot at the local Chinese place, with more punch. Hands down the best oolong I've ever had. The smoky arona is heavenly!
I could drink this all day long. Leaves you wanting more. Not as good at ti kuan yin though.

I like this tea. Normally I only like light, 'greener' oolongs, yet Wuyi Ensemble seems to be a blend of the smoky, charcoal-like tastes of a dark oolong, accompanied by the subtle sweetness of a lighter oolong.
I love light oolongs, and this was the first Wuyi type I ever tried--it's become one of my favorite Adagio teas. I usually steep it just below boiling for best flavor; the second and third steeps take a while to reach their best, but they're worth the wait! :-)
This was only the 2nd Oolong I've tried and I enjoyed highly enjoyed it. I will be ordering it again in the future.
I'm not sure if I'd classify this tea as Oolong. It seems to brew and taste more like a black tea. Not bad though.

Awesome oolong - very rich, slightly smokey. If you like rich teas, this is the oolong for you.
It's not as rich or complex as I like in a Wulong, but it is pretty good. I prefer the Pouchong, but this was not a bad buy.
Once I got past the initial strong earthy flavors and lack of color, I focused on the flavor and found it quite good. I agree with other reviews that the second steeping is better / smoother.
I'm still experimenting with this tea. I think I like it at a hotter temperature to drink, maybe I need to steep it for 4 minutes instead of 5. The second cup is as good as the first, a good oolong all in all.
A very nice, rich tasting Oolong, just as one would get in an oriental restaurant. This is my favorite drink with meals.

I think this is one of the best teas that Adagio has to offer. It is smooth, fragrant, and has a nice floral aftertaste. Yummy.
The coffee of high quality oolongs. Even a hardcore coffee drinker would admit that this tea doesn't just taste like water. It has powerful, earthy body that is the perfect kick in the teeth when you wake up. Also, if you are looking for an oolong that tastes just like what you drink at your favorite budget Chinese restaurant, this Wuyi Ensemble is almost spot-on.
This tea really doesn't do much for me. I've brewed it in a number of strengths, and still can't get a pleasing cup out of it.
the wuyi is so smooth and nutty. i love this one in the morning.
I'm still trying to decide if I like this tea or not. It's got quite a strange smell to it. It does taste better with milk and splenda (sugar).
this tea had too 'earthy' a flavour for my particular tastes.
This was probably my least favorite of all. It reminds me of swamp water. Others in our group must enjoy swamp water, because they enjoyed the flavor as well as the smell. Oh well, to each their own. :-)
I didn't like this one at all. The 'earthy' taste that some people say this has just didn't prepare me for this. To me, this one tasted like dirty water.
Wonderful, full body and great to curl up with for sipping while reading a book.
I'm new to oolongs and this one is okay but I find myself just enduring it. It was a little to smokey for me.
I like this tea quite a bit, but, as far as the oolong teas go, I prefer the ti kuan yin.
My first oolong, and I have to say that it was DELICIOUS. I got 6-(16oz) infusions out of it, and it was even better in the latter infusions.
Good. This is not my favorite of the teas, but that's because there are so many other ones that are really excellent.
This is a love-it or hate-it tea with strong earthy flavors that you wouldn't necessarily expect. Try a sample if you're not sure. You can definitely get more than one pot out of the same leaves, making the tea a better value.
i love the smoky flavor this tea puts out. i found that i like this one the second time you brew the leaves better. the flavor is subtly different and milder. great tea
Smoky flavor? Well, cloud be, but I don't catch the smoke hints. Not a bad oolong though.
Great addition to my growing collection. The samples are an excellent way to try more teas.
