Nice little cup with a mild flavor. I think it smells a little stronger than it tastes, but it's quite good regardless.
Naturally sweet oolong from Taiwan and pure vanilla. Brown sugar, honey notes and warm cookie-like flavor.

Nice little cup with a mild flavor. I think it smells a little stronger than it tastes, but it's quite good regardless.
I'm not a big fan of the flavor of oolong by itself, but the vanilla flavor really helps to mellow it out and goes great with just a touch of half & half.
This is a great example of the perfection that can be found in simplicity (or simplicitea, lol). The oolong provides such a smooth and mellow foundation. The vanilla isn't overwhelming, but it tastes totally natural and complements the oolong nicely. It doesn't need sugar, but it also wouldn't hurt to add some. Just two flavors come together to make a really pleasant, lovely cup. As a bonus, the whole room now smells like vanilla!
Steeped for 4 minutes at 212. This one combines two of my favorite things: oolong and vanilla. A bit of sugar really brings out the vanilla flavor. It’s a soothing tea for me and I’ll definitely have to order more!
Would steep at an even lower temperature next. Missing some of the vanilla flavor. So, I will have to buy some to find my preferred steep temp and time! 4 @ 200
Probably the best oolong I've tried. Really enjoyed the addition of thr light vanilla versus a strong spice or other flavor.
CommuniTEA. Vanilla makes a pleasant addition to the leafy raisiny taste of this darker oolong.
Its good, mild vanilla flavor, i mostly taste robust oolong.
The buttery taste of the oolong goes well with the vanilla. Mild and pleasant, an excellent holiday tea.
This is a lovely vanilla oolong that I do really like. The vanilla flavor is just lovely.
I love vanilla; I love the scent of vanilla and I love when a recipe has vanilla in it. I also love Oolong. So I knew today's tea would be a hit. The aroma when opening the package was so delicious and soothing. The flavor was not over powering. Icould have used a little more vanilla however that said I think it is a delicate balance for the average person.
I'm not a big vanilla fan normally. I don't mind it in blends but tend to find it meh on its own. And I thought that would be the case here as well. However, this ended up being a very enjoyable cup. The vanilla isn't overpowering and blends nicely with the mellow taste of the oolong. It does remind me a bit of a sugar cookie dunked in tea.
Could have done with a little more vanilla taste, but overall, this was tasty.
Let me start off by saying I HATE coffee and my husband loves it. This tea triggers whatever it is that I hate about coffee. It’s not as repulsive, but I still can’t do this tea. My husband tried it and his comment was that it wouldn’t satisfy a coffee lover because it’s too watery. Some of the other reviews said a little sugar helped bring out the vanilla, so I tried that. It didn’t help anything for me. If you hate coffee, steer clear of this one. I’ve combined my husband’s okay rating with my awful one to arrive at bad.
Great vanilla flavor and absolutely heavenly with a splash of milk. A new favorite.
Vanilla aroma brews into a very soothing mildly flavored tea. Using a slightly lower temperature seemed to keep any chance of astringency away. Also, I added a touch of sweetness which encouraged me to quickly empty my cup and thirst for more.
This was a wonderful packet to open, beautiful tea leaves furled up, with a wonderful aroma.
I brewed as per the instructions and think that for the future, I would probably steep at a slightly lower temp. This is a very warm and cozy cup, with lovely light vanilla flavour. The cup has a touch of astringency but a nice buttery taste. I could actually see this tea playing a wonderful role in blending with other teas, it is very smooth, I may consider buying a sample bag and experimenting.
Want something that just makes you feel all cozy? This is it! I can totally picture myself wrapped in a blanket and sipping this as snow falls.
This tea is delicious morning tea! A shorter steep time (2 1/2 min) yielded a well defined vanilla oolong tea.
When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I was a little nervous because the vanilla aroma was a little cloying and artificial. Once I brewed it, though?
Wow. I'm learning that oolong may very well be my favorite type of tea because the flavors are always so robust between the vanilla flavor and the almost light earthiness that I detected (an illusion, I imagine, caused by the smooth texture that I generally associate with pu-erh teas), this was kind of perfect, to me.
The vanilla smell is quite a bit less artificial when brewed and lingers, which I love, because I feel like the smell of it boosts the taste of it. It's a silky mouthfeel with a smooth flavor and even as it cooled down while I was doing some house cleaning, the lowered temperature didn't take away from that, as I sometimes find in the more dessert-flavored teas (vanilla, chocolate, caramel, as opposed to fruity, that is). Another one for the wishlist!
This was actually a quite pleasant oolong. very mild in flavor and well balanced. once i use more of my other teas i might consider getting a small portion of this for myself.
Another nice communiTea this morning, so smooth & comforting. First time sipping vanilla oolong, always had Oolong alone. I really enjoyed sippin this tea and will definitely be ordering. Kudos to the tea blender! (4mins @ 200°F)
I didn’t care for this one at all. For some reason it had an almost sour taste. A shame because I was really starting to enjoy oolong tea, so I thought I would really love this.
As promised in the description, it smells like a sugar cookie dry in the packet. The vanilla scent is strong and pleasant; however, the vanilla doesn't come through in the flavor as strongly as I was hoping for. It is more of a hint of vanilla. After reading reviews and comments, I did a second steep at a lower temp and added a few bits of rock sugar, which brought out a little more of the vanilla flavor. Strangely, every few sips sort of tasted like playdough smells, which is why it gets a meh from me. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 1st steep 3 min @ 212F, 2nd steep 3 min @ 195F)
I was rousted early out of bed today, a Sunday, by a misplaced phone alarm. Although my day began with blaring Beastie Boys (and the culprit has since gone back to sleep!), this tea is doing wonders to smooth my ruffled feathers. Hot and plain, the tea has an odd but not unpleasant metallic aftertaste; my guess is that there's some interaction between the natural vanilla flavor and the compounds in the oolong that produce whatever it is I'm sensing. A tiny bit of sweetening and cream rounds that out, however, and helps resolve the oddness into clear 'natural vanilla flavor' and 'oolong' tones. If you are a big vanilla lover, you'll be pleased with this cup. I think I preferred the vanilla green and the honeybush vanilla to this, however. (4 mins @ 195 F, 1 drop EZ-Sweetz, 1 tsp cream)
Vanilla oolong is one of my favorite teas! Sweet tasting on its own with a very smooth flavor.
I love anything vanilla and this did not disappoint.
I think the toasty smooth base of the oolong pairs nicely with the vanilla, and it has a delicious sugar cookie aroma. I would be happy with even more vanilla flavor but it's still great as-is, very mellow and comforting. Brewing at a slightly lower temp brings out more of the natural sweetness. This is one I will order a bigger bag of. 200 degrees 4 minutes
Lovely little sip. Smelled heavenly in my CommuniTEA packet this morning. It's such a mellow tea that it almost needs to be blended with something else to fully appreciate it I feel, but even in it's own, this oolong is a comforting cup. I wish I had some vanilla beans to scrape into my second steep, but I may add a couple drops of extract just to perk it up.
The oolong is very smooth and tasty. A little aroma of vanilla when opening the CommuniTEA packet, but the flavor was missing once brewed. Still enjoyed the cup though.
Though I'm reviewing this because it's today's CommuniTEA selection, originally I tried the vanilla oolong with the orchard oolongs sampler. To drink as is, once brewed it's got a nice level of vanilla with a pleasant cocoa note from the oolong with a cozy vibe to warm you a cold day, but there are other oolongs I prefer. For my tastebuds, this tea is best in blends. Besides the vanilla flavor itself, it sort of has a smoothing effect (similar to other vanilla teas) on the oolong notes or other flavors it's blended with. I've mixed a little bit in with grapefruit or peach oolong, and it's a delicious addition in the dessert-y Galentine's Day blend (raspberry, chocolate and vanilla).
Adagio has a really great vanilla flavor. I’m not sure why they say the brewing temp is 212°, I brew my oolongs around 185°, especially the first cup. This one I brewed for just 2.5 minutes at 185° and I noted some delicious mellow oolong flavor and a strong vanilla. I’ve enjoyed this variety before, and I knew I would get a stronger vanilla flavor if I pulled it from the cup after only two minutes. Looking forward to the second and third brews of this, from past experience the vanilla will become subtler as it steeps for longer.
A very delicious oolong, but the vanilla was more of a scent than a flavor.
This tea isn’t fine, just not mind-blowing. I didn’t find the vanilla flavor to work very well with the oolong, though it’s not entirely undrinkable.
Adagio's vanilla flavor is one of my favorites, and I have yet to be disappointed by a tea with vanilla. Sweet but doesn't need sugar!
Lovely tasting tea. The vanilla is light And very pleasant.
I generally like oolong tea, but I wish the vanilla taste and smell were more intense in this tea. It's just not very noticeable.
I was pleasantly surprised by the intensity of the vanilla flavor and will definitely be buying again
Sipping this tea is like being wrapped up in a blanket and being given a hug. The vanilla smell is perfect for these chilly mornings leading up to the holidays, with it s smell reminiscent of baking sugar cookies.
Wow! I waited on trying this for so long and not sure why! This was an absolutely perfect, smooth, yet delicate cup of tea. Perfect afternoon pick me up. The vanilla was perfect! I didn’t need to add anything to it, perfect just as it was! Will definitely keep this on my recurring order list.
Delicious tea but I actually don't prefer it by itself (my own preference... it's almost too vanilla-y). But I LOVE mixing this with other teas to give them more flavor. Tastes delicious with the Pumpkin Chai or the Thai Chai.
This is my new go to vanilla tea! The vanilla flavor is sublime...love it!
AMAZING! Im trying to become a “tea person” and this is a great tea!
Love this tea! Vanilla flavor is strong but not over powering. One of my favorites.
Sweet and smooth. I usually like my tea with sugar, but this is so sweet that I tried my second cup without. Lovely and refreshing.
I honestly wasn’t a big fan of this one. The vanilla flavor was almost unnoticeable and the oolong was not as high quality as other Adagio oolongs I’ve tried. I may try mixing it with other teas or something but on it’s own it just doesn’t stand out as anything memorable
Some oolong teas need extra sugar for me - this is one of them. Flavor was OK, but there are better vanillas.
This is exactly how I expected this tea to taste...simply vanilla! I added 1/8 tsp of bourbon vanilla extract and cream. Simple taste but enjoyable.
First time trying Vanilla OOlong alone. I have always mixed it with black tea.. Love the light vanilla flavor. Perfect for an afternoon with a cookie
This is a great Oolong tea. It's the tea that started my love to Oolong! The vanilla taste is authentic and not at all artificial tasting.
