Ooooh Darjeeling Customer Reviews

Very rare oolong from Singbulli Estate, Darjeeling, India. Muscat grape and apricot pit aroma (also the mark of fine Darjeeling black teas). Dried fruit flavor, lingering floral notes. A lesson in 'terroir': the place where the tea is grown.

This is the first Darjeeling I ve ever tried, and I m not sure what all the fuss is about. Based on other reviews, I need to try a more classic version to get a better sense of the teas true potential.

i am currently on a darjeeling kick. i will regularly order this tea.

★★★★☆

A favorite tea of mine to start the day with. It’s a nice dark tea!

★★★☆☆

This is nothing much like a classic darjeeling. There's next to no sweet, muscatel notes, tasting more like a super mellow green tea. Although this is a darjeeling, it's been processed as an oolong, rather than in the classic way, which may explain the HUGE difference. It's an ok starter tea, but if this was my first darjeeling, I wouldn't understand what the fuss was about.

★★★★★

Ooooh Darjeeling makes a tasty breakfast tea. This tea brings together the best of both oolong and black tea.

★★★★★

Very smooth. You will love if you're a Darjeeling fan.

★★★★★

this tea is good. this particular tea is very enjoyable.

★★★★★

Ooooh yeah. nice malty flavor. tastes great with a bit of sugar, but tastes awesome when you add milk. if you have had malted milk then the similarity is almost dead on. will add to my list. 3 min @212 sugar and milk

Less bitter than other Darjeeling, yet still a strong flavor with perfect amount of spice.

I was surprised to find I didn't like this as much as I thought I would. The usual darjeeling flavor was subtle enough that I couldn't quite distinguish it from a normal black tea. It wasn't BAD... Just not memorable.

★★★★★

I am new to Oolong but this tea was a delight! Dainty but flavorful.

★★★★☆

It's a perfectly average oolong/darjeeling blend. It doesn't have as strong of muscat notes as I would like from a Darjeeling, and the oolong notes are muted because of it, too. It does work as a good substitute for a lighter black tea, however.

★★★★☆

I didn't think this blend would work but it really does!

★★★★★

I’m still new to oolong teas, but this really tasted like a smooth and clean black tea more than others that I’ve tried. It was really delicious and mellow, with light dried fruit and floral tastes that are very subtle.

This is my first Darjeeling and I really liked it. It has a dark roasty fruitiness, not like any of my other teas.

★★★★★

This tea has very little bitterness if any at all. It's rare for me to find a tea, especially on the darker end of the spectrum, that I can drink without sugar, but this cup can do it. It seems to share the qualities of black Darjeeling tea, but it seems to have a slightly bolder taste to it to me. Almost earthy in a way. It's such a unique cup, and I definitely plan to come back to this one.

This tea is probably one of my new favorites! It s simply a wonderful tea! It s not overpowering but not a lightweight either! Will be buying again!

★★★★★

It tastes very much like what I think of when I think of hot tea. Not really sure how to describe it other than it tastes like the core of hot tea.

★★★★★

Such a delicious cup of tea. Very smooth. Smells and tastes like a black tea, but not bitter at all!

★★★★★

As we were sipping the tea my tea buddy said that she believed that semi-fermenting tea enhances the flavor. I agree completely, it intensifies the flavor, a dry rosy aroma, a hint of peach, the right astringency, an amazing transformation of Darjeeling, rich and complex. I like to drink it at breakfast and in the late afternoon around 4:00 pm., with a splash of cream and sugar along with nice scones. This one does not disappoint. In my opinion Ooooh Darjeeling is one of the best teas I've found in my constant search for the elusive one that is the best of the best. 5 stars

★★★☆☆

A very smooth tea. Not very sweet, even with sugar, and it has an earthy, mineral taste with some astringency.

★★★★★

I got this as a gift for a coworker whos favorite tea is Oriental Beauty, after hearing this was a decent dupe for it. We're glad to say it's a fantastic tea!

I didn't think this was great at first because I brewed the first cup too strong. When done right, it is quite wonderful. Similar to white darjeeling but more woody. I think I like it better than the black.

Very good tea. Delicious flavor, and is a great tea to just drink plain. No sweetener needed.

★★★★☆

This was a nice light tea, but I did get some bitterness. It may have been a steering issue.

★★★★★

I'm a novice when it comes to drinking teas, except the ones you buy in a box in the grocery store. That being said, I REALLY enjoyed this tea! It reminds me of the pot of tea that some Chinese restaraunts serve at your table, only of a much higher quality! I have been looking for this tea since I was a teenager, and I am so glad I found it!

This is the perfect tea for nice sunny day when a heavy tea would be too much. It has a light sweet fruity note too it that I've only ever encountered before in a good spring Darjeeling, but it's rounder than that as the oolong adds a hint of fullness not found in the average Darjeeling.

★★★★★

This is an unusual tea but one of my favorite offerings by Adagio. The blending of the oolong and the Darjeeling was not a combination I would have thought worked, but it really does here. It has a light sort of soft taste that’s hard to describe. I taste a hint of a floral undertone too. If you’re a fan of either one of these tea types, give this one a try.

Delicious, very light and mild. Mixed well with the Formosa

★★★★★

This tea seems like a very light, delicate Oolong. I get the comparison to muscat grapes as opposed to traditional Oolongs resembling peach flavors... but still i wish the flavor would come through a bit stronger.

★★★★★

This was the first loose leaf tea I ever had (several years ago). So this is gonna be bias, but it s a lovely tea, my memories aside. Mild, but delightful with a splash of tea.

★★★★★

part of gift for Dad's birthday, he was so happy to taste a good Darjeeling again. Reminded him of his days in the Navy, traveling the globe and sampling all the fine teas each area had to offer. It's hard to find a good darjeeling.

★★★★★

Such a wonderful light oolong! Not green and grassy, but more fall leafy flavors with wonderful hints of peaches and fruit. It's not a bitter tea, and you can get multiple infusions out of your leaves. One of my favirite teas ever!

★★★★★

Wonderful tea! I love oolong teas but I am also a fan of darjeeling. This combination of the two flavors is lovely!

★★★★★

This tea is a delight! I love it both hot and iced. Very rich flavor!

Encompasses the great things about both oolong and darjeeling teas

★★★★★

I am so glad they finally restocked this! I was down to my last teaspoon and it was away for quite some time. This is an excellent 'any time' tea, definitely one to keep stocked in your collection. Fragrant, with a light fruity flavour up front and a delicate floral finish. Stays lovely through several infusions, as well, which is always a bonus!

This was a nice tea. I had to be a little gentle with it but it had a nice mix of both worlds here. I kept the brewing time light at 3 minutes and brewed this around 190-200 degrees.

★★★☆☆

This tea really wasn't much of a standout for me. I found it okay, but it not outstanding. It usually remained smooth but I didn't find much complexity in the flavor profile.

I had to give it only 3 stars because one of my cups had some other leaf in it that gave it a massively bitter flavor. I only ran into it once but it really put me off the tea after that.

Really nice tea, can become a little bitter if steeped too long
Pairs nice with honey and vanilla almond milk

★★★★★

I've never tried an Oolong Darjeeling, but I really like it. I has a wonderfully smooth flavor and really reminds me of India.

★★★★★

My favorite Darjeeling AND oolong! Complex and refreshing.

I like that it has a fruity flavor with it. Love it

I don't know what to make of this! Is it Darjeeling? Is it Oolong? A good tea to be sure, though I feel like it's combining two things I would be just fine keeping separate. I would recommend it if you're an Oolong fan who wants a lighter Darjeeling, or vice versa, but be prepared for something different.

★★★★★

Has a sort of deep fruit flavor and slight smokiness. Not bitter. My new favorite tea.

Very smooth, a nice tea, a bit pricey, but probably worth it if you appreciate better quality teas.

★★★★★

A very smooth Oolong. It has minimal vegetal notes. That's a plus in my case, but if you're more of a green tea fan, it may not be for you.

I sucked down the entire package during a bout of the flu. It's especially tasty with honey.
