A solid oolong tea but not quite as creamy as I was expecting. It’s not something I would go out of my way for.
An oolong tea prized for its inherent cream and butter notes. Lower quality versions enhance these notes through aromatization. Ours is a true Milk Oolong, with slightly roasted leaves that yield a light-bodied cup with sweet buttery texture and delicate floral aroma.

A solid oolong tea but not quite as creamy as I was expecting. It’s not something I would go out of my way for.
Milk oolong doesn't precisely taste of milk, but the creamy and buttery mouthfeel of the cup makes you think you already put some in. This tea is a little more expensive but you also get several brews out of a tsp of leaves. I've started to tend to more shorter brewing times, but this milk oolong is good at both.
Good for an afternoon cup of tea or a morning when you don't need as much caffeine, I'm glad to add this oolong to my rotation of teas.
milk oolong, my beloved. if you like oolong teas and have a craving for a bit of a cream taste with it, look no further! i loved that when i brewed this, it didnt really need any milk/creamer--though its still good with it added
This was fairly smooth, a nice oolong without being too strong or pushy.
A nice light, smooth green tea. I like a little more body, but this was tasty. I didn’t get the creamy milk flavors everyone talked about.
Loved the creamy notes of this tea, was wonderful.
Oolong tea is my favorite tea type and Milk Oolong is one of my favorite oolongs. I love the floral aroma as well as the sweet taste. If you are new to oolongs and want to jump right into a good one that is closer to green than black, this is a great one to try.
This tea is rich and has a creamy flavor. Add some agave and it’s like a Dessert!!!
This is a great tea with a nice taste and perfect for boba tea!
I'd never tried oolong tea before, but recently tried the Maple Creme Oolong and the Raja Chai Oolong and loved them both. So naturally, I ordered some unflavored samples to really taste the flavor of the tea on its own. And I absolutely loved this. There's something about oolong that just tastes greener and leafier than a lot of other teas that I really enjoy. I disagree with some other people that this one actually tastes like cream, but it has a nice soft, sweet edge to it while still having that leafy flavor. It's a shame it's so expensive or I'd be stocking up, but this is definitely something I'll be indulging in every so often.
Holds up to 3-4 steepings, with that classic milky/buttery aroma.
Milk Oolong is such a great, relaxing tea! I brewed mine with burdock and manuka honey. It is a very light flavor, with a bit of sweetness from the honey, and is so relaxing and calming. I look forward to experimenting with this one. I would highly recommend this tea!
A really nice oolong. Good for multiple steeps. It unfurls into really large leaves.
Delicious, buttery, creamy oolong that stands up to multiple steeps and is so pretty to watch unfurl during brewing. This is a staple for the oolong lover's tea collection. Sip, sip away!
A nice, creamy, and buttery milk oolong with floral fragrance. Definitely worth trying!
This is a nice, straightforward tea. The creaminess is subtle, but it is creamier than other oolongs
Not huge fav. The loose tea smells grassy. I imagine it tasting better with milk?
This is a decadent tea grown in Taiwan. As the leaves unroll during brewing, they tell a story of many delicate flavors. Steep in hot but not boiling water.
A very delicious milk oolong! Smooth and buttery, it really hits all the right notes for me.
Finally found an oolong that I like! I’ve been trying to replace an old Teavana one for years and this finally satisfied my craving.
One of my favorite oolongs. This is creamy and lightly roasted. It smells heavenly. An enjoyable brew that is worth the extra cost.
I brewed this Milk Oolong gongfu style, 3grams dry leaf which smells of sweet, milky cream. The taste is smooth and delicate on all profiles of roasted, floral, buttery sweet cream. The infusion created lovely active mouth tingle that turns to a buttery slip. The infusion is a light greenish-yellow cup. Aftertaste with sweet buttery, clean, delicate floral. I enjoy a pure tea leaf that creates a full experience and this one delivers on all levels: aroma, mouth feel and aftertaste! Well done Adagio!
Surprisingly milky. These buds expand a LOT when steeped, so you can use less.
A little strong but still good.
quite yummy and a nice alternative to the jade oolong I also love
Great tea with a nice smooth and pleasant taste throughout
smooth and buttery, both in smell and taste. definitely a nice treat @adagioteas
Great body and full of flavors. I love the finish of this one.
strange flavor, not as creamy as i was expecting, a little sad @adagioteas
So tasty! One of my very favorites from when I first started drinking higher quality tea.
Rich full bodied tea. Smooth and tasty. Highly recommend
This is probably my favorite, yes it is pricey, but it's good.
This milk Oolong is everything I hoped it would be! It s so silky smooth, beautiful rich but also somehow mild flavor, the color and aroma of the tea are so pleasing...this will now be my go-to everyday tea! Great for morning or afternoon. I am thrilled to be able to get 2 steeps out of each serving as well. I add a little extra time for each additional steep, as well as less water.
A good starter/tea beginner to have. A good choice for a gateway.
Wonderful, tastes like actual milk with adding anything to the tea.
This has such a pleasant mouth feel and is both subtly grassy and sweet, yet also includes a very long and cleanly tannic finish that is quite satisfying
Not as rich and buttery as other Milk Oolongs I've tried. Doesn't quite have that 'buttered popcorn' flavor I'm looking for.
Unbelievable flavor. Mild to moderate flavor. Very creamy mouth feel. Does not overwhelm the palate. My favorite tea from Adagio hands down. Just try it. You won’t be sorry.
Love the milk oolong. It is nice and creamy as it's name implies. A smooth drink.
my absolute favorite type of tea is milk oolong and this did not disappoint. well done!
I purchased this while pondering just what it would taste of. Milk? How does one turn milk into tea. I may never fully understand it. @adagioteas
First time trying Milk Oolong and I'm glad I did. The dried leaves smelled heavily of river stones and minerals, followed by a freshly trimmed lawn topiary. After warming the dried leaves in my gaiwan I picked up on steamed brussels sprouts and sweet cream.
My tasting notes (gaiwan):
1st infusion - immediately hit with an airy creaminess followed by a lightly vegetal but short and clean finish.
2nd infusion - picking up on a lemony scent. The creaminess on the tongue was intensified along with the vegetal notes which now linger on the palate, and mineral notes are coming out.
3rd infusion - along with the scent, I'm now tasting a very slight lemon/yuzu flavor, followed by creaminess, and ending in a mineral finish that is a bit sharper than the last infusion. 3rd infusion is beginning to remind me of green tea.
4th/5th infusion - see brew #3
6th infusion - see brew #3 + barely a touch of astringency peeking through, and still quite flavorful
7th infusion - see brew #3 + light lemon/yuzu flavor now carries from beginning to end
8th+ infusion - decided to quit making notes and just enjoy my tea. mmmmm...
In all I got over 40oz of steeped tea from 1 heaping tsp of leaves... so yeah, this stuff packs some flavor for those who enjoy crisp green teas or lighter oolongs. Throughout the brews there were no floral, earth or spice notes - just cream, light veggies, and a smidgen of lemon/yuzu. If brewed at a lower temp for shorter times there will be no bitterness and little to no astringency - only creamy goodness!
195 degrees, 30 second infusion on first brew - adding 10 seconds for each subsequent infusion.
I really like milk oolong tea. That being said, the batch that I received wasn't the best milk oolong that I've ever had. Yes, it had that buttery flavor that I was expecting, but the flavor was weak overall. As expected with this type of tea, it can be steeped several times.
Buttery with hints of sweet, pale yellow flowers. This is a creamy, well rounded cup and delicious even after multiple steeps. It is more nuanced than bold, therefore adding anything to this cup will ruin it. It is good on its own. 2 min first steep, 3 min on subsequent steeps.
The smell of this tea is phenomenal. I tried it warm but I definitely prefer it brewed cold, since the flavor is much more delicate. I added some simple syrup and half and half, but it didn't quite get to the flavor I was looking for. The flavor was too delicate. I brewed it overnight in the fridge. I tried letting it steep for a few days in cold water in the fridge to make the flavor stronger. This tea, however, cannot be left steeping in the fridge for very long. A gross bitterness appears from the tea. The tea never got stronger, either. Good if you like delicate flavors, though. The smell again was absolutely amazing.
My first take on this naturally fragrant mountain oolong. Full of surprizing flavors, notes of dulce de leche, oatmeal cookies, brown butter
Smooth, buttery, and delicate.. what else could you expect from something called a milk oolong? I really enjoyed sipping this one unsweetened as it really brought out every ounce of the light herbal flavor.
Smooth and delicate. I steeped for 2.5 minutes at 195. No grassiness or bitterness. I love oolong teas and enjoy the subtler flavor profile. Yum!
Nice, mellow, creamy tea! Will be buying this one again.
Very buttery and sweet. Has a nice pale yellow color when brewed
