Love this tea, been brewing it in the morning when I get into work. I tend to put too many leaves in my cup, and I'm always surprised at how full the leaves are after they have been brewed. Probably my favorite morning tea now.
This got me into Taiwanese Oolongs. Good lord that's nice. A green, spicy-flowery nose and taste. Hard to describe. Sort of green like a Japanese green tea. But less buttery flavors, none of the issues of bitterness, and as said, it is 'spicy.' Not a hot spicy, but a sort of prickling, arousing floral smell. Yeah, like walking through a dense garden full of heady flowers in the summer time.
This is a subtle tea, with a clear oolong flavor. It brews multiple times nicely and goes well when blended with other flavors. Love this tea!
Almost between an oolong and a green tea. Sweet and floral but with a green tea finish that is clean and aromatic.
Oh my goodness! Do I ever love this tea! It not only smells amazing but it tastes amazing! It's earthy, floral, smooth taste leave me wanting many more cups! I would recommend this tea.

The jade oolong is definitely one of my favorites so far! I've been trying out blending my own tea lately, and the mellow flavor mixes great with other more potent teas.

I really enjoy this tea. It is one my favorites! It has a nice malt taste, with a light floral finish. I get several brews from it. It is a very smooth tea I would recommend to anyone who appreciates oolong teas.

This is a pretty gentle, mild tea. I discovered that it needs a rather larger spoonful in the pot than most of the teas I drink to bring out the flavor.

I just can't manage to get any flavor out of this. On my third cup, trying a second steep of the leaves... It tastes vaguely like tea, maybe a hint of floral flavor, but I can't discern any taste besides bland generic 'tea.'
I loooove oolong, especially watching the leaves uncurl as the tea steeps. A great tea for the senses as it has a great aroma and taste as well.

I recently ordered about 50 different samples of tea and the note above is the result of my review process. Almost nothing gets a 9 or 10 out of 10. 8 is quite good. 6 or below I don't order again.
I'd give this tea 3.5 stars but I rounded it down as the other reviewers seem to be too easy. If I give a tea a 5star rating, rest assured that tea would have really inspired me. Is this Jade Oolong tea inspirational? Yes, because it is an oolong and oolongs are royalty. AND No, because in terms of quality it is a mediocre oolong, especially given it comes from Taiwan. Will I remember this tea 20 years from now? Probably not. It is a solid tea in the morning and it feels clean. My search for the 5star oolong continues.
(I have had a 5star oolong. It is an oolong from Taiwan called 'Gao-Shan', absolutely phenomenal. There was so much soul and lovely floral fragrance to that tea and it was only $11/100 grams. Unfortunately I bought that tea when I was living in British Columbia, and the shipping costs are too much for me to rationalize a purchase.)
Very delicate floral taste. A classic Oolong. My issue however is in how much tea is needed per cup. The instructions reccomend 2 teaspoons per cup, which is twice as much as the average tea variety sold on this site. This causes it to essentially cost twice as much as other comparable teas on here.
I guess this large amount is needed because of how extremely delicate the flavor is. For me, that is too delicate. I sort of like being punched in the face with tea flavors, though.
Great cup of oolong. I brew with a little less than the two overflowing scoops recommended and still get an extra infusion out of it.

I can't get enough of this tea! It has such an amazing smoothness to it, and never bitter, even after the occasional accidental oversteeping. I can't wait to try some other oolongs!
So far, so good. It has a light body and an easy-going flavor. In the way I brewed it, it was not overpowering my taste buds, so I'd say it's good in that sense.
Excellent oolong. The leaves expand to fill up my entire pot. I can get at least 4 solid steeps per teaspoon.
This tea is lovely. It's a very basic oolong tea with a nice buttery flavor. Very high quality, very tasty. It's one I could definitely drink in large quantities. Very nice. Will probably order more of this.

The leaves opened up so much they were coming out of the infuser! I liked this because it was light. I don't really have experience with oolongs but this tasted like a very light green tea. I had like 4 cups of it though when I woke up, so to me it was really good.
Pleasant and smooth, with a floral back note. Stands up well to multiple brews as many oolongs do - a keeper.
No fragrance or flavor to speak of. I'm spoiled as we buy fresh oolong tea straight from Taiwan, and their mountain tea is the best. This just didn't cut it for me. Maybe it's made from tea plants that have gotten too old? Don't know, but it lacks the oolong essence.
I used this tea to make kombucha, and the result was delicious. The acidity balanced with the floral notes of the tea in a way that reminded me of apple cider. I definitely recommend this tea for kombucha brewers.
This tea is a pretty good oolong tea. It has a really smooth finish and a slight dryness after you finish the cup. I personally like the ti kuan yin better, but this is a good oolong tea as well.

This is one of our favorite teas, and we recommend it to everyone. Rebrewing up to four times is an added benefit! It's a hit with everyone who tries it.
So, 'omnomnom' does not begin to cover this tea. It's light, floral, and delicate. I enjoy it when I don't want black, but I can't face another green.
Not as good as other jade oolongs I have had, mainly because the floral flavors were less pronounced. I may try again however.
I'm a huge fan of this tea, but recommend steeping it like a black tea. The leaves are very dense and lower water temperatures/shorter steeping times do not bring out the complex flavor profiles of the tea. At 212F for 5 minutes, I get three to four good steeps from this tea, without any bitterness.
The person who said this tea has a vegetable opening is right: it most definitely does. Hints of fruit and grass shine through too, until after one or two infusions, the tea tastes like honeysuckle. I am not a tea expert, and I do everything wrong. but with this tea, I've been brewing it in a French press using the hot water setting from our hot water dispenser, steeping for three to five minutes each time, and then combining the brews in a large pitcher to make iced tea. It is heavenly.
I wasn't thrilled with this tea, but that might just be because it's my first oolong and it seemed very pungent. However, I loved the smell pre-brew.

This tea has a very light floral aroma and taste. While it's enjoyable, the flavor is too ephemeral for me.

I've been drinking Jade style Oolongs (or Ti Dungs) for over 20 years. They all tasted different (depending on harvest year, grower) and had their own occasion to taste best. This one is definitely made for first thing in the morning: it does not shock your system, it's smooth, slightly floral with a balmy sweetness. It makes a green yellow cup with no astringency or grassiness. I prefer the first flush, but it also makes a second, grassier flush. I would drink other Oolongs with an Asian meal,this one I find too smooth for that. Will be my morning star for quite some time.
