Jade Oolong Customer Reviews

Lightly oxidized oolong from Nantou county, Taiwan. Similar in style to Tung Ting, its tightly rolled leaves slowly unfurl through several steepings. Jade oolong is loved for its fresh green-floral aroma, sweet flavor, and delicate texture.

★★★★☆

This is a very nice oolong tea with some floral hints.

This is probably my favorite oolong that I've tried! It's got a really light flavor, and it's a pleasant and enjoyable drink! Will definitely be ordering more!

★★★★★

Jade oolong is a fantastic treat! Delightful flavor and resteepable several times.

This is a lovely tea. Always delicious, always comforting, always reliable. I won't say you can't mess it up---I'm sure you could---but if you follow the general suggestions as to temperature and time it will be wonderful. And you can get good tea by re-steeping at least once at the same temperature but for a little longer (4-4.5 mins). I use the recommended 2 heaping tsp. per cup or a little less. Years after my first review I STILL love it.

An all around, flavorful, fragrant tea.

When I opened the bag, I wasn't sure how it was going to taste. The smell was strong. Nice, but strong.

The brew is not nearly as strong as the smell. As it brews, the leaves unfurl in a delightful way.

By the time you taste it it is perfectly flavored. It tastes half way between a roasted green tea and a black tea. I love its aroma. I will be ordering again.

My first oolong and it is very enjoyable. There is no bitter after taste. this is my new favorite tea.

Hands down the best oolong Ive ever had! Gets better the more times you steep it too!!! I prefer to steep it at LEAST 3 times...

Love this! I'm a green tea drinker and actually preferred this over the white monkey green tea.

★★★★☆

I love this tea's light flavor, slightly earthy. Would probably order again.

Not as smoky/minerally as the other oolongs I've gotten from Adagio. this one tastes milder, closer to the green tea spectrum. At least to me! This may or may not be a bad thing. some of the stronger oolongs I've had (not from Adagio) tasted like chewing on a granite pebble that had been steeped in compost.

But it went well with takeaway Chinese.

This tea is very smooth and has a unique richness I do not find in other oolongs.

★★★☆☆

The packet said to brew two heaping teaspoons, but even with that volume this tea doesn't have much flavor to speak of. It does look neat though, starting with little green bits and unfurling to large leaves when brewed.

This is an astonishing tea. The flavor is floral and sweet, medium to full bodied and smooth. I've drank ti kuan yin and that is of course amazing, but this tea is extremely similar and reflects the complexity of oolong tea perfectly.

Not my favorite but not the worst tasting. You could sweeten it up a bit with some honey and it might be better.

Out of all the teas I have tried this one doesn't always come to mind right away. I do like it and am happy to see it.

The name says it all, It tastes exotic. Mild, flavorful, light aftertaste.

Love that the leaves can be steeped more than once!

★★★★☆

A nice, light oolong with a fresh flavor. Definitely a tea I would buy again

★★★★★

This is a very interesting tea. Floral on the nose, that continues with the taste. But the after taste this tea really shines. Almost a mild honeysuckle flavor lingers.

Jade Oolong is a great tea. Nice and light - can be enjoyed at any time.

★★★☆☆

The light and airy jade oolong makes for a great start of the day. Unfortunately, it doesn't have much re-brew-libity. After the first brewing the later cups loose almost all their flavors, even taken into account 1 Tbsp of tea to 2 cups of water.

Love the flavour and experience of this tea. There is body to it without being weighty, if that makes any sense.

★★★★★

Great afternoon tea. Smooth oolong flavor without the 'grass' I sometimes get in oolongs.

I liked this tea. I think... That's the only problem i guess, its sort of forgettable.

★★★★☆

Light, mild flavor that's between a green and other oolong tea. Very pleasant cup.

★★★★☆

It was nice and grassy, yet earthy. Also, the leaves when expanded are huge!

Mild flavor, but didn't need to add anything with it to sweeten. It's nice and earthy flavored, light color.

This tea is fragrant, gentle and soft. I like to let it steep for several extra minutes to get as much oomph as possible out of it.

This oolong is just okay. I wasn't a fan of the flavor and it seemed to get bitter easily.

★★★★☆

Excellent tea. The second oolong I have tried. I didn't actually take the temp of the water. I just didn't let it come to a boil. Turned out great!

I can't remember what this tea tastes like. I think that means that it neither wowed me nor did I dislike it. Just meh.

This tea was a little disappointing. It wasn't bad, just a little too floral for my taste.

Tastes more like a green tea, and not very complex. I would not buy again.

Nice full flavor. Oolong tastes great by itself, no milk or sugar needed
