Jade Oolong Customer Reviews

Lightly oxidized oolong from Nantou county, Taiwan. Similar in style to Tung Ting, its tightly rolled leaves slowly unfurl through several steepings. Jade oolong is loved for its fresh green-floral aroma, sweet flavor, and delicate texture.

Very light color, delicate flavor but stronger than the milk oolong. You can definitely taste the floral notes.

★★★★★

It's very green but has the smooth taste of oolong. Good for multiple steepings, will buy again.

★★★★☆

Pretty good Oolong, flavor is unique and light, not the most strong as far as presence and mouth feel, but still good.

★★★★★

I am still new to the world of oolong but I very much enjoy this light and floral tea. I need to fiddle with steeping times and temperatures but I can already tell that this tea has a lot of depth to its flavor.

★★★★★

I love to mix this one with wild strawberry or the berry compote creme

★★★★★

Love the clean taste this has ! One of my husbands favorite teas.

★★★★☆

This tea was weak and did not hold up to multiple steepings, but never turned bitter.

★★★★☆

Light, slightly dry taste. Longer brewing time does increase flavor. A nice, even oolong.

On of my favorites from adagio! Might have to get the big bag next time!

★★★★★

This tea is really fresh and light. I love the 'green' taste of it. I do think that re-brewing it more than twice is a bit much, the flavor becomes a bit 'watered down' for me. It's my daily mid morning tea. Great taste!

★★★★★

Healthy, tasty. I heat, until small bubble appear, then shut off fire and steep.

★★★★☆

This tea was yummy, i would def order it again, and recommend it.

★★★★☆

I like a lot. Nicely balanced. Good tea to drink on a daily basis.

★★★☆☆

Too florally for me. Won't buy this in the future, just not my style of tea.

This is now my new go-to for oolong tea. I love the taste!

★★★★★

Excellent tea with very floral notes. Nice and green for an oolong.

★★★★☆

I like this quite a bit, can get several cups out of the leaves. Good sea and earth flavor.

This is my favorite tea to carry with me through the day. Not too much caffeine, not too much bold of a flavor. Harmony in a cup. Update: It's been a couple years since I've ordered this and let me say that I am even more confident that this is my favorite tea to have around. it is not too flowery, not too earthy. Very well balanced, much like I wish my life could be. This tea inspires me to ground myself and be true to our earthly origin while also reaching for the sky. <3

★★★☆☆

A simple green oolong, drinkable and ok for the price

★★★☆☆

I enjoyed my sample. A nice simple oolong taste for an afternoon cup.

★★★★★

Yes, I know that this is so much more expensive than the other oolongs, but trust me, you can taste the difference. There's an elegance to this tea that I haven't found in any of the other oolongs I've tried from Adagio. Full-bodied but graceful, refreshing but a little dry on the tongue, this is absolutely worth the indulgence.

★★★★☆

pretty smooth. I would likely consider ordering this again

★★★★☆

This one was too similar to 'ti kuan yin' for me, although I preferred it to the later. It is vegetal and the leaves unfold nicely (leave room for the unfolding!)

★★★★★

This is a very green oolong but does not have the bitter taste that some green teas can have. I really enjoy it and will continue to buy.

★★★★☆

When I worked at a tea shoppe, this was one of my go-to oolongs. I would often brew this oolong as an ice tea with a little bit of spearmint. Something about the creaminess of the oolong paired with the spearmint made for one of my favourite summertime brews and I am happy to have Jade oolong back in my life. For this tea however, I defaulted back to a more traditional steeping/preparation method and brewed the tea hot, enjoying several steepings of unfurling leaves (to me this is the mark of of the oolong experience, the transformational nature of the tea with each steeping), definitely a meditative and experiential cup.

★★★★★

Fantastic tea! This is definitely worth trying with a nice flavor and aroma.

★★★★★

I might be a bit biased, because I LOVE oolong tea, but this is amazing. I will buy it again.

★★★★★

yum!! i was looking for a green oolong. this tea is perfect. i love it in the morning with milk and honey or in the afternoon. a nice pick-me-up. highly recommend!

★★★☆☆

Definitely wasn't for me. Not much taste. Not sure what I was expecting but I know I won't get anymore.

★★★★★

Floral and delicious, the combination is a great one. The leaves expand quite a bit, so a little can go a long way.

★★★★☆

This is my go to afternoon tea with a snack. The floral smell perks me up

★★★★☆

One of my favorite clean crisp cup I do actually follow the instructions I found the temperature is of the water is important

★★★★★

Ordered based on reviews and wasn't disappointed. Black to start the day and oolong in the afternoon.

★★★☆☆

Its not my favorite tea that I've ordered, but it is not bad either.

★★★★★

A smooth, pleasant oolong with light floral notes. Delicate, but by no means weak. A lovely tea overall! Great on its own or with honey/sugar and cream.

★★★★★

This tea is delicious, has become a regular every day.

★★★★★

Crisp and sweet and straightforward oolong. Glad I bought it on a hunch.

★★★☆☆

Too floral for my personal taste, but it is definitely a high quality drinkable tea.

★★★★☆

One of my favorite teas for when I cannot decide if I want green tea or oolong. The best of both worlds.

★★★★★

Definitely my favorite oolong, leans more on the green side with a smooth/mild taste. I typically drink it in the morning as a good waking up tea.

★★★★☆

Absolutely worth the cost - a lot more mild than the first Oolong I tried (Formosa), more earthy and fresh-tasting (are those the right words?) and overall really lovely. Plus, you can steep it over and over again and still get a really great cup, so you can get a lot out of even just the sample.

This is a very nice jade oolong, similar to spring or 4 seasons oolong from other vendors. Clear, green, fresh, very good for the morning if you like the clean feeling of green tea rather than coffee.

★★★★☆

I purchased Oolong to make a different iced tea. First thing I discovered was you can't put 4 big scoops of Jade Oolong in a coffee machine filter. The leaves expand and water runs right down to the pot w/o picking up much tea flavor. Leaf expansion was crazy. So I scooped out the leaves and put them in the pot and let the coffee maker rain down the hot water. When the pot was full I shut off the maker and waited until it cooled a bit. Then I poured the tea into an iced-coffee filter. That filtered out the leaves and left me with sort of a light honey colored tea. I repeated this process twice using the same leaves to make a gallon of tea. Taste: It's a different tea flavor. My brew method makes the tea a bit on the strong side. It's difficult to describe. I can only say it is not your 'normal' tea flavor.

★★★★★

Great Oolong Tea here. It's a great morning tea as it's just the right amount of strength. It definitely has more of a floral feel.

6 min steep · 212°F

★★★★★

A delicate green tea where the initial bitter/grassy taste is quite pronounced, and then gives way to a whole world of rich, slightly sweet, absolutely heavenly flavors. The initial bitterness gives it a wonderful bite, while the subsequent flavor palate gives it richness and substance. It's a tea that takes fully five seconds to taste all of the flavors in each mouthful.

The third steep is the best one, by the way. If you don't re-steep this one, you're missing out on so much. The fourth one is very good as well, but after four the leaves start to lose their potency.

A wonderful tea, and one that will be a staple for me for a long time.
