This smelt like grapefruit and also tasted like grapefruit. I really enjoyed this tea, especially over ice. It's pretty rare to find something grapefruit flavoured, and I'm glad I bought this one.
I think Oolong teas have become my favourite type of tea.

There's Lots of orange and lemon teas out there but not too many grapefruit teas. This would be a good tea for someone who don't like to add sweeteners. Of course, I can't roll like that. I try to elevate my fruit teas by any means possible. In this case I do that by adding Orange blossom honey along with brown sugar, but more importantly fresh squeezed Grapefruit juice. Because of my ignorance of Grapefruits this was almost a 3- star review. The first and second time I attempted this infusion I unknowing used a sweet variety of Grapefruit one being an Oro Blanco. It almost tasted like an orange, so when I started adding my sweeteners, I lost acidity and had to start adding lemon juice. By the time my flavor spikes were at their peak, my concoction tasted like an orange lemon tea. On my third try a bought a couple different varieties and settled on a Texas Paramount which tasted more like a real grapefruit. Bitter, acidic and a little sweet. The taste was magic. The tea had that unique grapefruit flavor I was looking for. No lemon juice needed. This is my new favorite citrus tea along with the Blood orange which is also available on this website and highly recommended.

The grapefruit with Oolong is a nice pairing. My sample size smelled stronger of grapefruit than it tasted although the grapefruit flavor came out more as it cooled. I think it would be good iced as well.

Could be our new favorite! The aroma is pretty light, not overtly grapefruit. Its fresh and balances with the oolong.

★★★★☆

Tasty but needs a stronger grapefruit flavor. In the past I feel like it was stronger so maybe just got a weak batch

★★★★★

I can't get enough of this tea; every time I buy some, it's gone in a ridiculously short amount of time because I can't stop drinking it

The loose tea smells strongly of grapefruit. Tastes strongly of grapefruit.

one of my favorite teas! the citrusy taste of the graperfruit is a great compliment to the oolong, its definitely one of my go-to drinks. simple, and great both cold and hot @adagioteas

A lovely citrus pick me up to be enjoyed hot or cold! A smooth bright mix of tea and fruit. Just lovely! Blended With Oolong Tea, Natural Grapefruit Flavor, Orange Marigold Flowers @adagioteas

An excellent refreshing tea hot or cold. I don't like a sweet tasting tea. The citrus is subtle but makes the tea crisp and clear tasting.

★★★★★

This lovely oolong tea actually tastes like grapefruit! It's sharp and delightful!

★★★★☆

Very tasty and a nice tart citrus flavor, without being overwhelming. I appreciate that it doesn't have sweeteners or licorice in this blend.

This fruit-enhanced Oolong is delightful. The grapefruit is not quite as flavor forward as the Grapefruit Black tea, but it is lovely. The softer flavor profile accents the complexity of the Oolong nicely.

I really like cold brewing white grapefruit tea, but it got pricier. I tried some of this as a slightly cheaper alternative, and it s good, but just not as good as the white grapefruit when it comes to cold brewing it. I haven t tried it hot as I generally don t enjoy warm fruity teas. @adagioteas

Grapefruit and oolong are two things that I enjoy separately so I had hoped I’d enjoy this. Unfortunately this one fell flat. I tasted hints of grapefruit but it never felt as present as the grapefruit black tea. Even the oolong taste I normally like didn’t feel as present as well. I’m not sure whether I finally got one product that was defective but this wasn’t my cup of tea @adagioteas

★★★★☆

I tend to prefer strong flavored teas and this is more medium in strength.

★★★★☆

Just a nice fruity citrus cup of tea. Really enjoy it

I love the citrus smell & the taste of the oolong. @adagioteas

Normally, I am not a grapefruit fan and I was a little apprehensive of this. The grapefruit is a wonderful note with the oolong.

★★★★☆

I found this is be smooth with a lovely grapefruit scent and flavor - I added a hint of sugar (no more than ½ tsp per cup) and liked it even more.

The smell of grapefruit when the pouch is first opened is really strong and pleasant!! But the smell mellows out a lot when it's brewed and the flavor wasn't really as strong as I hoped it would be. I wish the flavor packed as much punch as the smell does but I guess I'll just have to play around with times and temperatures to try and find my favorite cup!

★★★★★

This tea is heaven. Smells just like grapefruit, and the taste is smooth and perfectly mellow. Will be buying again.

★★★★★

This is a nice oolong with a mild grapefruit flavor. The dry leaves in the bag smell strongly of grapefruit, but when you brew the tea the grapefruit flavor takes a back seat to the roasted oolong. It wasn't quite what I expected, but it's definitely addicting!

★★★☆☆

Unlike most of the CommuniTEA members, I actually didn't really like this one, but in my defense, I don't really like grapefruit (I like other citrus flavors, just not that one). I do enjoy oolong, but this oolong felt awkward, instead of blending well with the grapefruit flavor. The overall effect was just disappointing for me. Not one I would drink again.

★★★★★

Delicious oolong, with a light grapefruit flavor. Enjoyed this one hot. I feel like there could be even more grapefruit for my taste. I added a squeeze from my grapefruit this morning to kick it up a notch. I like this one the best out of the grapefruits. No bitterness, no astringency, just smooth.

Mild grapefruit aroma and clean flavor, with a smooth base of oolong. Good hot or cold, and resteeps well (so you can do both!). Nice wake-up tea.

Tried as a CommuniTEA sample. The grapefruit flavor is very mild and the tea had a slightly nutty aftertaste to me. It's pretty good but not one that I'd buy.

Grapefruit and tea, particularly oolong tea, sounds like a bad idea, but I was really impressed and enjoyed this one. It has a 'roasted' feel if that makes since, and the normally bitter grapefruit is actually quite palatable and enjoyable with the other flavors.

While I personally am not an oolong fan, as it tastes exactly the way standing in the middle of a sun-kissed wheat field near a citrus orchard on a breezy day smells, that flavor profile is incredible for some people. It may not be for me, but this is an incredibly high quality and bright cup of tea for someone else.

It was ok, but not a big fan of Grapefruit. Do you like grapefruit you would really like this one.

I cold brewed today's Communitea sample. The grapefruit was bright and clean without overpowering the oolong. There was no bitterness in this blend and the oolong had a smooth mouthfeel. I didn't need to add any sweetness, but I imagine it would be lovely with a bit of honey.

★★★★☆

I enjoyed my CommuniTEA packet chilled. The grapefruit was subtle and the oolong lent a creaminess to this tea. Very nice! Happy sipping!

This was one CommuniTea sample I was not looking forward to try as I really don't like grapefruit. The oolong was nice but the grapefruit flavor just isn't for me. Rating well as the flavor was as expected even if this isn't my cup of tea.

I really wanted to like this and made it hot and after tasting it chilled it. It just wasn't my favourite :(

Wow, I like this tea a lot more than I was expecting! This smelled very grapfruity, but the taste is mostly earthy, buttery smooth oolong with just the slightest hint of grapefruit. So if you are looking for a really grapefruit tasting tea, this might not be it. But this is a very tasty oolong with a whisper of grapefruit lingering after you sip.

★★★★★

Oolong has slowly become on of my favorite teas thanks to sampling them with communiTEA. This one is no exception. The grapefruit flavor hits your nose as you open the packet. Once brewed the flavor is subtle, but just enough. It does not overpower the oolong so you still get all the complexity from this wonderful tea. Earthy, minerality, slightly nutty, and fruity flavors all come together for a very pleasing sip of tea. I did add just a touch of honey to help sweeten it a touch. Doesn’t need much though. Steeped at 195º for 4 mins. Able to get 3 steeps from this one.

This blend was an odd one. I enjoy peach oolong, and I enjoy Adagio’s grapefruit black tea, but grapefruit oolong? Not really a fan! I cold steeped this tea, as that’s how I prefer to drink my oolong blends, and the resulting tea was just off for me. There was no grapefruit scent or taste to the tea. It just tasted like a plain oolong, a flavor I’m not particularly fond of.

I was surprised to like this tea. There was a strong grapefruit scent but none of the flavor in my cup. It had a vanilla oolong taste instead.

★★★★★

This took me a bit to grow on me while I was drinking it. I’m reluctant about grapefruit to begin with as a perception that grapefruit would be sour. This blend was actually quite lovely. Earthy oolong and a mellow zesty refreshing grapefruit flavour. Might get a bag of this. Nice change from bergamot, orange or lemon flavours.

I'd drink this more for the toasty oolong but not for the grapefruit. I guess I'm not a fan of grapefruit flavored teas. It is better than the grapefruit flavored black tea, but would prefer the white grapefruit tea over this.

Another fantastic fruit tea. I'm not really into grapefruit specifically, or fruit teas for that matter, but this one definitely helps change my general aversion to fruit teas. I'd definitely be pleased to sip this one again. A nice, bold foundation of tea flavor with a lovely decoration of fruit on top. Balanced and smooth, not too sweet.

When I opened the packet the smell of grapefruit was very strong, so I was worried the grapefruit flavor would be overwhelming as well. However, while it was brewing the scent of oolong came forward and balanced it out. As the tea cooled, the oolong flavor became stronger and the grapefruit settled to the background. Very tasty.

Today's packet opened and released bright grapefruit scents. A 3 minute steep at 212°F produced a rich mahogany colored tea.

Zesty grapefruit scents abide within the steaming cup as it cools. The first sip reveals layers of earthy and musty Oolong, alongside the bright grapefruit flavor that makes each sip an aromatic experience. The aroma and flavor is like the scent of freshly peeled grapefruit zest without any sour or bitter components.

Altogether, these flavors play well together to create a nice calming Oolong tea with some pleasant aromatics.

Mellow oolong is the perfect base for this grapefruit tea! I tend to stay away from grapefruit because of the bitterness, though I love its smell. Against a backdrop of mild oolong, the citrusy fruit flavors really get to shine - it's delicious in a way that a black tea, with its tendency towards bitterness, just wouldn't be able to pull off. And it smells fantastic, on top of everything.

Of the grapefruit teas I have tasted, this is certainly the best. But take that with a grain of salt, because I'm not a fan of grapefruit teas. I love oolongs, and I love grapefruit, but even oolongs can't really salvage grapefruit teas for me, for some reason.

But like I said, this one is certainly the best I've had. The grapefruit flavor is light - more like a hint than a flavor - and serves mostly to brighten up the oolong. And the oolong gives it a depth and smoothness that polishes off grapefruit's sharp pointy bits.

All in all, this tea isn't one I'd purchase, but it was certainly a nice refreshing iced tea that I'm glad I experienced.

This is wonderful! Strong, mineraly oolong with big grapefruit flavor. The flavors meld seamlessly and there is not the slightest bit of bitterness.

I really enjoyed this one. Oolong is the predominant flavor with a nice tang of citrus from the grapefruit flavoring. Thankfully the taste is mellower than fresh grapefruit and melds nicely with the oolong. Enjoyable hot, but also makes a very refreshing iced tea.

Not the bigg6fan of grapefruit but oolong pairs well with it, flavor-wise.

★★★☆☆

Oolong is the predominant flavor in this blend, followed by a milder grapefruit. To me it tastes sort of woody.
